  • there's another Blue Light cemetery, called the Tetter cemetary.

  • Yeah I know. That was addressed on another comment here. Funny, I thought I had changed the video description in regards to that but I guess I didn't :P Thanks, I'll do that now!

And yes, I do plan on making it out to Tetter eventually! (My car's out of commission right now, so it's a no go for the moment...)

  • Is there any step by step directions on getting there?

  • Hi, you've got a friend's lock on. Send me an invite and I can send you a PM then.

  • my bff went (i dont know the time/dates) she said her and her group of friends saw an actual satanic ritual taking place furthur back in the cemetery part.. also when she said that in the front part of it there was one side that was all nice the other run down.. and that there was a tree where the hung people cuz it was segregated.. idk which location shes talking about or if its true.. i know the part about the ritual is.

  • Doesn't surprise me, I saw what looked to be an altar once on the grounds back in the late 80s or early 90s. Don't know about the hanging tree though. Ugh...

  • There was a small opening in the fence the last time i went, i took pictures of all the tombstones and my phone broke the next day when i tried to show my friends. Its hard to get there now cause the field is growing alot.

  • Yeah, it sucks to hear it's getting overgrown. And sorry about your phone :P

  • i was there sunday (9/26/10)...all grown over now. even the field is growing over a bit.

  • i was just there the other day - 9/26/10 pretty cool...i used to go there in the early 90's and hang out with my old friends..never to destroy anything though...never heard of that happening then....i guess it is a recent thing...too bad.

  • hey man, i was just there the other day (9/26/10) and the cemetery is all grown over now...which is good. I remember going there to hang out as a teenager...but never to hurt or destroy anything out there. We just thought it was cool to see an opening in the middle of heavy woods.

  • Glad you never destroyed anything :) People who do that to cemeteries suck.

Interesting to hear the field is growing a bit thick. I would say I hadn't heard of that happening before but then I've barely been there for years. I don't know if budgets for parks were cut down recently or anything, plus with Hurricane Ike barreling through they had a huge mess to clean up with tons of (huge) toppled trees and all.

    And thanks for subscribing :)

  • I used to live in Katy and my sister went to Blue Light with some friends back in the 80s. They talked about a headstone with an orb on it, that was supposed to be the grave of a witch, and if the orb was gone, it meant the witch was not resting in her grave!

Wished I'd gone out there with them, so I could know how much has changed. It looks a lot smaller than what she described. I'll have to get her to see the video and comment.

  • Interesting orb theory, might explain the rumors of Satanic activity out there and all. (Yeah being a witch doesn't mean a person's necessarily Satanic, but you know...)

The size of the place has changed over the years, as they've changed the fenced off area and all. It was never very big in the first place, since there were less than 20 people total ever buried there, I think.

  • "we were out in the sticks on Highway 6.."

  • Bah ha ha, good one!

  • There is a place called "Blue Light Cemetery", but it is in Spring. At least when I was in high school there in the early 1980s that was the name of the cemetery where we used to go drink and shoot vermin all night. No ghosts or paranormal activity - I reserve the belief in that for you idiots.

  • The irony in this one...

I don't like to stereotype (that's more your area), but your page is full of country favorites...not exactly well known for musicians graduating from prestigious music schools, heralded for shredding abilities, or having very intelligent lyrics either.

You also refer to hunting, which many

in general scoff at, along with drinking, and then to drink and 'shoot vermin' relates to dissecting the works of William Shakespeare...how, exactly?

    Welcome to Club Mensa.

  • @darwinfish there are many "blue light cemeteries" in and around the houston area. The one this video refers to is next to patterson road in the middle of a reservior area in between hwy6 and eldridge. the official name is actually hillendahl - eggling cemetery.

  • how did you get to find this place i been looking for it for so damn long. would you take me there?? i would love to film it. please let me know if interested

  • When I got serious about looking for it, I was just driving by the area and just kind of...stopped at one of the places where you walk out and sit on one of those oh-so-comfortable (not!) stone benches and tables, walked around a little, saw the gate and walked to it from there.

    I'll send ya a pm!

  • Thanks to the help of Tvisante, i found it and soon will post my video of it. Funny thing is, I had video from the front going around the right side of the fence showing clearly the federal warning sign for grave robbers *must have been made half a century ago but for some reason just that segment of video wont come out at all, its unreadable but everything else works. So if you need directions, i can help you too

  • You're welcome, look forward to the video!

Weird about that sign part though...

  • thanks for the video. I will watch for more evp's

  • I've visited this place many times, it was very overgrown last time I went and I couldnt see the stones. But at night, around midnight, if you stop on the bridge you can hear tapping. Three people were in the car, two heard the tapping, one didnt hear anything.

  • Hey, didn't take long for one of the locals to respond :D Glad you tried the bridge/stop car thing, my transportation is limited right now, so I haven't been able to try that myself. But then, I'm not sure if I want to!

  • Very Cool! I live in Alpena Arkansas, and the town was built on top of a cemetery. Some of the graves with headstones still exist in people's yards, other were relocated to the new cemetery, and others are under (what's left of) some of the buildings. There's a saying in my tow, "Be careful when digging a well, you never know who or what you mite dig up."

  • Yikes! Crazy stuff.

  • Cool! music even! I would love to visit the bridge some day

  • Yeah with all the time it would take to get to the few evps, thought I should add some audio :P

The bridges aren't anything to look at--meant to take a photo of one or both of them but forgot when I was out there--but yeah, if something were to happen...!

  • Pretty cool. I hate the way we have to chain-link and lock up our old cemetaries due to idiot vandals. It takes something away from them I think. That place is huge! Good capture on the growls, cr-e-e-e-py! Meant to ask you to PM me that link to your write-up, I had a helluva time tryin' to copy it from the bulletin you sent!

  • Thanks JoGurlz!

Yeah Spammy, it sucks what they have to do with that site. The place isn't very big at all actually, unless you meant the open field that used to house it's church and all. Those growls actually scared me a bit!

And I don't know what the deal is with YouTube adding the space to my bulletin but I'll make sure and PM you the link once I do this article, not sure when I'll do it yet though...

  • thats sad about how peeps have no respect for the gravesites. :o( thanks for sharing...and looking forward to next time! :o)

  • That's a really interesting place. We also have a bridge, I guess lots of small towns do, with a spirit akin to the "blue light" that will get in the car and sit next to you. WE tried it once but nothing ever happened. I have a story you might find interesting as well. May post a vid response to this with it.:)

Thanks for posting, chat with ya later!

  • Yeah very interesting, even though I don't know what stories about it are true or not! :P (One is that the ghosts tapping on your car are civil war soldiers...nope, closest skirmish was in Galveston, a good hr. & a half away or so!)

As far as stories (if they're true) about spirits coming in you have to do it more than once; they might not be there at all times, unless they're haunting the place...as they could have hitched a ride with someone else :P

Sounds great about a response though!

  • The same about the story I'll respond with. Just haven't had time to do it yet. Will try to get it later this week. Don't have whole lot of info on the boy but did go looking for him. I'll tell ya what we found in the vid.:)

  • interesting story, thanks for sharing...

  • Thanks Buz, I'm glad I was the first to share it here on YouTube (unless someone did something similar at some point but it was removed)!

I'll have a full write-up on Spookypedia at some point if anyone's interested.

  • hahaha for some reason I kept looking for the blue light!

I didn't read the title and description properly.

Thought you captured a blue light (orb, ectoplasm etc) in a cemetery :D

    Still, GREAT video!!

  • Sorry about no blue light photos; no I did NOT go there at night, no way!! I know that they used to close the park half an hour after sundown years ago (probably still do) and you have to have permission to stay overnight, neither of which I'm doing!

(Oh and by the way, the "blue light" is in regards to some kind of material that was commonly used in the gravestones back then.)

Thanks for the complement, glad you enjoyed it :)

  • Thanks!

  • Good one! Very nicely done.

    Jim
