I see allot of comments saying everyone's maxed out their characters and had all the boats and weapons, but they didn't have full membership. Well, I've been playing this game for about half a year, and you can't get your abilities up all the way, you can't buy all the boats and weapons, and clothing without unlimited membership. So those gloating on about how they maxed out their characters and had this and that are full of shit.

Hey guys, I just made my account today and I'm already having problems with it. When I first started I made my pirate and everything but then I got kicked out of the game before I could go through the tutorial. Now when I try to load the game from my desktop it says that it's retrieving info and that it will take 1 hour to update. Is this normal? Because I've waited for it to load but it just stays at 39%. Any ideas of what's going on?

when your a bacic member does your lvl only get to one number and then stays there cuse im a bacic member and my lvl is 14 ever time i kill someone or sink a ship ect it will tell me i got 150 rep or somthing like that it doesent go up same with your wepons does the lvl only stay at lvl 7. one more thing when you becom a paing meber and u get to lvl 46 or somthing like that then you stop payingmony will your lvl stay at 46 or will you hav to start over.pleas anwser back.

If you do not pay... this game is shit. For example, you can only purchase light ship's, you can only have a rusty cutlass and a crude pistol, you can't even learn all the combo's, you can't get past level 14, you get limited notoriety (xp), you get a limited amount of clothes you can wear, you can't get tatoo's, you can't get piercing's, so if you play this game... make sure you got a few dollars to spare every month until you get sick of this game. By the way this game is one of the easiesy

I got right in to the movies since 'On Stranger Tides' came out. Thought I'd give this game a try... How disappointing.

- Graphically outdated (This is DirectX 9, not OpenGL)

- Choppy animations

- Poor combat system

- The community is... Non-existant by the looks of it

- Subscription fee is needed to unlock like 90% of the games features. That's at $10, almost World of Warcrafts sub fee!

- It struggles to keep you entertained for 5 minutes

I played this when it first came out. I got to the max free, so I got 1 month of unlimited which I only eneded up using like 2 weeks of. This is an excellent game for a short period of time, but it gets old fast since there are ONLY combat skills and.... poker. I recently started playing again, however, because of all the new different kinds of weapons they came out with. Maybe this membership will actually last me the full month before I tire of it again...
