@SamPabloKuper Scratch that. It's so marginally before the sound of the bullet hitting the plate that I didn't make it out at first, but I can hear it now.
Holy crap that's crazy. Nice shot. I had to laugh when I saw a car drive across the range. I'm not going to be a douche and lecture on gun safety. Wow amazing. If I was shooting I probably would have hit the camera man filming.
I'm not trying to doubt your marksmanship sir, but the bullet ricocheted off the backdrop. if you noticed the soda exploded off to the back left of it, and NOT directly straight, and if you watch closely it actually hit the back first then the soda. But I know you are more than capable of doing this... good luck and have fun...
Not hard to do when you're standing 25 feet from the pepsi can... it'd be so easy to fake this, with the camera facing the target and you can't see what's happening behind it.
@diebymymelee We'll you can be skeptical or you can take the video for what it truly is and just recognize a little talent, if you don't believe this video go watch my other video at an even further distance, there's no way we could have faked that one.
Just a tip from a fellow long range shooter (watch my vids) if you are going to use actual pressure don't input your temp or altitude. It will mess up your drops in the app.
Its great that we have technology tospit out the MOAs. I hope when I get my Scout Sniper billet I will be profiecient enough in my head. Thats how I learned anyhow. just a bunch of hit and miss. evenually a person gets the feel of where the shot will be even before the shot is not taken. kinda like shooting a bow without sights. Its really fun, and I got good at it. Hey, great shooting BTW!
@OnTaRgEt16 It was extremely hard, we had the can set up dead center in front of the plate so I just went off that. Thank you for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it.
nice shot but what a waist comen from a pepsi lover. couldnt you shoot a coke or something else. i like shooting 20oz bottles filled with red water and corn starch so its thick and splatters everywhere. oh and what power and make is your scope?
At the end of the video, (where all the shooting actually happens) the pops are from the sound barrier still being broken correct? Cool how a bullet would still stay supersonic after half a mile. And would it be a 7mm Remington Mag?
@kdkinen We have tactical scopes with MOA adjustments at that range we dial in the variables into our scopes and are zero at whatever distance the targets are at. the wind was choppy about 15-20 mph and was blowing back and forth.
Good shootin mdidaho.....all the dorks that question your shot can pack sand. I get the same crud from people also. I did use your idea though, Jake & I went to Mesquite a few weeks and set the camera down range. Great to see a kid shooting! I'll post you the video I get the most flack over.
i think this is a great video ahaha. Even though there is no proof you were 895 yards away after you set the camera up i still believe its real. Wouldnt that have been funny if someone took the camera when he left? haha
@juvjuv3 Listen to the gun shot after the bullet hits, he's shooting from a long distance. Probably at 900 yrds with a 7mm sound is traveling faster then the bullet.
@varmintman Were out in Filer way back by the sand pit (Its a small shooting range people go to). we go past that and down a long dusty road and we sit on the cattle water hole and set the target up down the road. What do you shoot?
ya well i doubt it who knows maybe he is a good shot. i really doubt it though. they probably just scooted up closer to the target. it sounds like they aree firing from a 100 yards or closer
How do you figure? You can't hear the rifle report in the video. That means they are hella far back. At 100 yds the rifle report and bullet slap would be almost instantaneous.
Well you apperantly dont know what a gun sounds like first off and for you to doubt a shot like that just cause you overthink things and wanna hate on peoples videos just shows how incrediably stupid you are
34 divided by 6.4 (height of target in MOA) equals 5.31
So, you'll need to adjust left or right, depending on which way the wind is blowing, 5.31 MOA, or 21.21 clicks if you have a 1/4 MOA adjustable turrets.
Now, that's the right setting if the wind is at full value. If the wind is at half value, you'll adjust left or right 2.65 clicks.
We use a Kestral weather station and a program called Exbal on a handheld PDA the weather station shows us elevation barometric pressure humidity wind ect. and we put all that info into the program and it spits out the dope and we dial it in. it sounds complicated but when you get good it all takes about 2 minuts.
Nice shooting men!! I'm good out to 700 yds but not 8 and 9 yet. Tough to find places to shoot over 700 around here. I prefer my 25-06 with 100gr. sierra spitzers. With 50.8 gr. of H4350. Gets em out there smokin pretty good and still extremely accurate. Thanks for the vids!!
A 25-06 is actually what I went to the gun store to get but I found this R700 7mm and decided on that. We took it to our gunsmith and re-built the whole gun (Costom stalk Barrel Trigger Ect.) and it shoots strait and consistant its never let me down. I use a 168 Gr. BTHP Serria Match King with 68 Grns. of IMR 4831 So far this has been the best round but were still testing around. Good optics help and a little bushnell elite works great! Thanks for the comment.
jmanatee, i can assure you i am not just making comments on something i dont understand. long range shooting is something i have been doing a long time and i dont claim to know everything but, just like watching other people doing what i love to do.i know my equipment and its capabilities and how to execute the shot at long ranges by come ups and wind doping, just like uncle sam teaches!
Very impressing shooting! Dont listen to anyone who says its all about the equipment. It still takes a good eye, steady hand, calm breathing, steady trigger pull, and more to make a shot like this! Again, great job! 5/5!
This is not the first long range shot video where idiots cry "fake". I just shot a 100lb spanish goat at 823 yards. One shot, one kill. If you're NOT an idiot and you buy the right equipment, these shots and more are not only possible but common!
I agree, with you and mdidaho on this comment. However, don't get it stuck in your minds that its simply "all in the equipment". Granted, a proper rifle, ammo, and scope have ALOT to do with accurate and long range shooting, but the MOST important factor is the shooter, and his skill with a weapon. He must be applying his fundamentals appropriately. A good shooter could make that shot with .308 and a cheap scope providing its was zeroed correctly. Great vid, and nice shooting!
i bought the picatinny type rail and weaver style rings. i like the setup. without the long range base most of your comeups are wasted just zeroing at 100 yds.also the rail system is in line automatically for your rings, no marks on scope tubes from alignment.
OMG I can't believe you are dumb enough to post such a comment... Obviously you didn't think this thru - I hope you think your shots thru a little better than you did this comment. It took me like 7 minutes to get back to tell him and watch him shoot, do you think I would upload all that video to youtube ?, or would it be best to edit that out so that you weren't watching the wind blow for 7 minutes. C'MON - Unbelievable!!! - Seriously are you joking or was this a serious comment?
very good video. i shoot alot at 800 to 1000 yds and if you know how to dial in your elevations for yardage and dope wind(wind doping is the hard part) the rifle will do its part. i shoot strictly off the bipod,i have a 300 win mag. remington 700 xcr tactical with zeiss 6.5x20 for the long range stuff.just got new 25 moa base on and now can dial waaaay on out past 1000.again good video
People that say this ant real, they don't know very much! Just to help them out, listen to the 4:20 part again and again! you hear the impact thin a faint thud! The thud is the gun firing and there is about 1.2 sec gap! and for the less informed there is a 1.22 sec gap between firing and impact at 900 yards!
you cant really say 1.22 seconds for 900 yards because the speed of sound is effected by barometric conditions. it could give or take 2 10th of a second
I damn sure belive it. We shoot super long range stuff all the time. I just got the hang of making videos...check out our stuff. We have a ton of footage to get finished.
Last year, I thought of this concept. Do not STEAL it or I will literally fucking hunt you down.
Basically, a .338 Lapua/.416 Barrett bolt action breech loading cannon. It would be mounted on a cannon base. It would be used for long LONG range shots without the unsteadiness of a human hand.
good shot bro... alot of people know nothing about guns, and especially distances of 600+ yards and how hard it is... i missed a coyote at 1200 with a 7mm RUM by about 6 inches, and it was running, and i was hungover lol.... for those that have never fired a high cal rifle, stick to call of duty, you know shit, once again, good shot..
Are you serious? Please tell me your just being sarchastic..... Dont you think I woud edit out all that, look at the part when I turned the car aorund as well, I took that out too. Freakin people, unbelievable, we use a weather station and a program called Exbal on a handheld and we make shots twice this far ALL DAY LONG....
dont lett some stupid people's stupid coments aggravate you. they like others to thins that they know something, but thier comment is prove of thier stiupidity.
I realy think you are a better shot than me. good luck
wait you do know this is fake right a 7mm mag would have more power than taht and you would here a "bang" i can hear a 243 a mile away wow fake and without some seriuos long range tools and adding a 7mm mag is to heavy for to make this an easy shot i am gonna call this fake
Thats because your a dumbshit, if you listen closely dumbshit idiot you hear the pop after the target gets hit. EXACTLY what happens at over 895 yards. Stick to your BB gun you shit face.

what equations do you use for distance, wind, humidity, temp. altitude, and barometric pressure?
Scotino552 2 years ago
Wind is tricky. Here's the wind equasion:
-Wind= 10mph
-Range= 640 yards
-Wind drift of bullet at 1mph at 640 yards= 3.4
10 multiplied by 3.4 equals 34
34 divided by 6.4 (height of target in MOA) equals 5.31
So, you'll need to adjust left or right, depending on which way the wind is blowing, 5.31 MOA, or 21.21 clicks if you have a 1/4 MOA adjustable turrets.
Now, that's the right setting if the wind is at full value. If the wind is at half value, you'll adjust left or right 2.65 clicks.

People that say this ant real, they don't know very much! Just to help them out, listen to the 4:20 part again and again! you hear the impact thin a faint thud! The thud is the gun firing and there is about 1.2 sec gap! and for the less informed there is a 1.22 sec gap between firing and impact at 900 yards!
malcky4893 2 years ago
you cant really say 1.22 seconds for 900 yards because the speed of sound is effected by barometric conditions. it could give or take 2 10th of a second

I damn sure belive it. We shoot super long range stuff all the time. I just got the hang of making videos...check out our stuff. We have a ton of footage to get finished.

Great Fun!!!. I've got to rig something up in front of my 2'X2' plate to hang stuff. I'll post something when I get a chance.

Last year, I thought of this concept. Do not STEAL it or I will literally fucking hunt you down.
Basically, a .338 Lapua/.416 Barrett bolt action breech loading cannon. It would be mounted on a cannon base. It would be used for long LONG range shots without the unsteadiness of a human hand.

good shot bro... alot of people know nothing about guns, and especially distances of 600+ yards and how hard it is... i missed a coyote at 1200 with a 7mm RUM by about 6 inches, and it was running, and i was hungover lol.... for those that have never fired a high cal rifle, stick to call of duty, you know shit, once again, good shot..
nateb1000 2 years ago
you missed a coyote at 1200 yds while it was runing as you were hungover, only by 6 inches?
yeah right. i bet eaach time you tell this story the yardage gets longer and more elements are added.
stick to call of duty.

wait you do know this is fake right a 7mm mag would have more power than taht and you would here a "bang" i can hear a 243 a mile away wow fake and without some seriuos long range tools and adding a 7mm mag is to heavy for to make this an easy shot i am gonna call this fake
ArcticCatKid12 2 years ago
Thats because your a dumbshit, if you listen closely dumbshit idiot you hear the pop after the target gets hit. EXACTLY what happens at over 895 yards. Stick to your BB gun you shit face.
mdidaho 2 years ago
you know there is another way to do this. Pretend to drive away and shoot from behind camera. Just kiddin vid looks real noise is to low to be close.

What zoom does it have for that kind of range, like 4-16x or 6-24x or 8-32x?

Looks like 4 shots to hit a 3X5" target at 895 yards. Very good shooting.
