  • Came home from the Vic last night and listened to this encore and listening again today! Can never hear it enough! Thanks Fab Faux...Amazing show!

  • I just came home from The Vic, where they played this in the encore after playing Revolver and Sgt. Pepper in their entirety. Stunning, just stunning.

  • ..tell me todays music is better than this era....

  • Last night I watched Scorsese's George Harrison documentary, and tonight I'll be at the Orpheum Theatre in LA where these boys will be playing the White Album in it's entirety, including this masterpiece. It's gonna be awesome!

  • Dead fucking on. I can close my eyes and it's The Beatles

  • Gave me goose bumps and watery eyes. Just fantastic, truly amazing, really well done.

  • If I die listening to this., I'll die happy.

  • 254 "likes" and 7 "dislikes"?...obviously there are 7 bone heads that have no concept of a band that is capable of incredible LIVE reproduction of some of the finest modern music ever written by the greatest pop band ever. Not an easy task, of that I can assure you. Beatle songs are not easy to recreate. And to recreate the soul that Clapton himself injected into this song is a stand alone amazing feat! I cannot begin to heap enough praise on this amazing and wonderful band. Enviable talent.

  • Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!!!

  • never heard of these before, but that was bloody excellent

  • good is an under statement .your bloody fantastic.

  • Not an attempt at a tribute, just the music. It's fairly well done.

  • @cosg9531 Fairly well done? Who's better, you?

  • FANTASTIC!!!!FANTASTIC!!!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • I saw them last night at the WelLmont in Montclair...NJ...AMAZING...They will be back May 21....GET TICKETS NOW!!!!!!

  • The Fab Faux are the best and they are the closet you can get to the real thing!

Jimmy Vivino is a fantastic guitarist, but I LOVED the way Jack played his solo in this song. XOXO

  • Rip the audio from this vid at tubepull doht cohm.

  • I loved the tribute to George at the end!

  • hope these guys tour again...outstanding!

  • Still my guitar gently weeps! Just missing the dull thumping bass, but wonderful... bagpipes GITARR!

  • @seanreillyireland I knew I'd see you here

  • @vintagezigg Zigg, in the days before youtube I bought the White Album CD for the obscene price of about 55 Euros, or 70 dollars, just out of a hankering for this classic that I hadn't heard since my recrd player went kaputt years before.

    Was it worth it? Yes.

But LONG LIVE YOUTUBE all the same.

  • nice touch with the "eh oop" at the beginning.....

  • Bravo & Kudos to these guys!....Gave me "goosbumps" on how true it was to the original both vocally and instrumentally with the great guitar solo. Clapton doesn't even play like that anymore based on the videos I have seen of him lately. I was impressed with this great rendition and tribute to George!

  • Saw these guys twice, and saw them play this song twice...awesome! Jimmy Vivino is awesome.

  • I saw these guys tonight in LA, and they were effin' amazing!! They played all the tracks from Revolver and Sgt. Pepper, then did a few covers, including this one. It looks awesome on video but it's unreal live. George would be proud, and Mr. Vivino is one sick mofo on guitar!!

  • love this song, Fab Faux, rocked it!

  • The best version {I mean the BEST version} of this song that has ever been re-emulated. Thanks for cheering my night up, I needed it!

    Paneeks/Boston

  • Stunning version - best I have ever seen. What a band - please come to the UK! You guys have such passion and verve, would love to see you live.

  • I love hearing the Beatles albums played note for note, but can you imagine what they could have done playing live and improvising and feeding off the energy between them! Wow! Seeing Paul perform is just a little taste of how good it might have been!

Thanks, Faux, for keeping the music going round in our heads!

  • WOW! We got to see your show at The Britt in Jacksonville, OR. last night;-) Thank you so much for such an awesome concert!! We can hardly wait to see you guys again. Please come back next year;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @356c2 That sucks so bad, I live in Grants Pass, and didn't even hear about it until AFTER it happened.

  • @sgtpepper1138 You might want to check the Britt schedule for next season when it comes out....They always have a great line-up!

  • I damn near broke down at the end when I saw and heard George...Fab Faux guys, you are friggin' incredible....you're doing what I've done in my mind for years now. Well, well done.

  • I have a friend in California that used to do a 70's era tribute to Elton John. He had full band back up and dressed the part. At one point he was told "You sound exactly like Elton!" He replied "The only one who sounds exactly like Elton is Elton himself! I like to think I sound "SIMULAR!". These guys may not dress the part, but they sound soooo simular and I love it!!! I give my two thumbs up and both my big toes are up too!

  • they did this on the howard stern show on sirius a few years ago. replayed this morning on the opening of the show.

  • I am glad to see a band that is recreating the Beatle's music as it was origninally recorded. Afterall the Beatles (as a group) rarely performed these songs live so it is interesting and entertaining to see a group so successfully do so.

  • Wow.

Best imitation of Eric Clapton I've ever heard. Still blows my mind that you could have Mt. Olympus caliber musicians like the Beatles, Clapton and Hendrix all hanging out together in London. Ridiculous.

  • Gutted I missed Will Lee in LIverpool.Next time.

  • George and John are up there tokin' and smiling...

  • John is up there smiling and tokin...

  • This song was so amazing (not only the band, but the incredible way they ended it with George Harrison's recorded voice) that it sincerely brought tears to my eyes. Amazing job gentlemen. I do agree with others when they say this show is an absolute must for any Beatles fan.

  • I saw this band for the first time a few weeks ago. As a Beatles fan, I found myself a skeptic as many others are. I was so incredibly impressed with the performance and I cannot wait to see them again in October for the John Lennon Birthday show.

  • tres tres bon!

  • ahachie: you've got to be kidding; Rain is lame; I'd rather watch the Antique Road Show than sit through one of their sets...

  • if you really want to be impressed by a Beatles Tribute Band, go see Rain:The Beatles Experience.

  • This vocal sounds nothing likle HARRISION.. they.shouldnt play this one...

  • I shit you all not, Rich Pagano (drummer) used to be in my father's band.

  • Yes, I also saw them in SF last Sunday. The bass was unfortunately muddled, but they still sounded fantastic. This song was a highlight and the guitarist really put his heart into it , capturing the song's essence.

  • I saw these guys in San Fran last night. UNBELIEVABLE SHOW. The best money I've spent in my life. "Weeps" was the definite highlight but the rest of the cuts were amazing also. Catch the faux if you can.

  • What a great, great composer George Harrison was. Never get fed up of listening to this song since I first heard it on "The White Album" in 1969. RIP George.

  • That replica "Fool" SG that dude is playing is fucking sweet!! And the music is too, kudos!

  • Jimmy Freakin' Vivino...wow!

  • they don't sound exactly like the beatles, but they got the music down and they have something that alot of other beatle bands don't have. i must say, the George in this sound good. really great band!!

  • Mr. Jimmy Vivino...ladies and gentleman, tell me that don't sound as good as Clapton.

  • @MrKite053: I agree, Jimmy's fantastic. But, although it's quite an accomplishment to play a famous solo note for note, it's another to WRITE it from scratch.

  • Agreed, completely, but don't you think you're missing the point? These guys are not tying to go beyond The Beatles, they're trying to recreate The Beatles. So, "originality" is beside the point, no?

This lead was originally Clapton, anyway, not George. Either way, what difference does it make?

    Stop Bitching, and enjoy!

  • bigmarty: Didn't mean to sound like I was bitching. I was just paying a compliment to Harrison and Clapton, as well as Vivino. :)

  • D'accord!

  • Was this at Webster Hall? I think I was at this show!

  • Saw them at the Beacon last night too. They're amazing!

  • These guys are indeed GREAT. Saw them tonight at the Beacon Theater (NYC). Got to meet Jimmy Vivino. He is so great. Will Lee is great too. So are ALL OF THEM. Every one of them. They are way beyond a Beatles tribute band. They are as close as you are gonna get to seeing the Beatles live and on stage I totally dug the music tonight and this song is staying with me. It was played in the second set. Revolver was the first set. Great band, great show. The greatest rock music ever.

  • That was a good show, but Tampa the next night really rocked. Check out my stuff from 7-19-09

  • Man, these guys are great. (LOL on the Buffalo Bill intro) I first heard of them on Howard Stern. Their work is impressive and the only Beatles cover band that Paul ever talked to!

  • that asshole he has the custom eric clapton gibson sg

  • what does it matter what guitar he plays? hes great u fukin jealeous fuk!!

  • i meant it like i want that guitar retard lol

  • im sorry bro i thought u were raggin on the guy. i was just defending the vid. no hard feelings man.

  • no problem... its a really cool guitar you should check out the fiinsh if you play guitar...its called the gibson sg eric clapton "fool" its sick

  • Does Angus Young play the same guitar?

  • no....well he played an sg but not that kind

  • From what I have seen The Fab Faux are extreme perfectionists and they stay true to the passion of the music the Beatles created some 40 old years ago

  • Wow Saw them last saturday in fort lauderdale! awesome! Dont miss an opportunity to see them!!!

  • I was there too. It was my first time and won't be the last. The band is terrific!

  • These guys are all killer musicians playing killer compositions by the greatest composers in rock (at least in my opinion). What a killer band Fab Faux is!!!

  • i agree with "ajmjw4" - they are just putting up great music and not trying to "be" the BeaTles. Hey, this tune - probably Grorge's best--who does it better than these guys????

  • the guitarist is playing a gibson sg fool copy

  • I think what I like about these guys is that they are not trying to 'be' the beatles, they're just making great music. Stellar.

  • @ajmjw4 Agreed! :)

  • Phish performing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is YouTube ....obviously this version doesn't compare to the Fab Faux's..are there any other links?

  • If you want to hear something rarely - make that never, most likely - and extremely well done, find yourself a copy of Phish performing the White Album in it's entirety, 10/31/94 (they didn't even cop out with #9!!). It was the first of several "musical costumes" they would put on each Halloween. Subsequent ones were Quadrophenia, Talking Heads' Remains in Light and Velvet Underground's Loaded (I was at that one in Vegas and it was incredible).

  • Phish is a fucking piece of shit!!!!!

  • Congratulations - you just rendered any music-related opinion you might have completely meaningless.

  • seeing them in two weeks! cant wait!

  • ive seen them 3 times, they're amazing

they sound just like the beatles

  • best tribute band this planet has to offer, hands down, fuckers made me cry! lol

  • I'm hoping you mean Beatles tribute band - and even that is arguable.

  • Amazing!

  • Excellent tribute band,

in my opinion one of the best in the world.

    Fantastic guitar solo.

  • I saw the Fab Four last night 12/27/08 and they did many White Album songs. Fab Faux did this fine but the Fab Four's "George" both sang and played lead guitar and nailed it nicely. They brought down the house at the Grove in Anaheim. Be aware that there are Fab Four imposters out there who will rip you off. They go by the name of "Fab Four Live" The Fab Four were really good..

  • Fab Faux is my fav tribute band cuz they do the music right!

  • AMAZING!!! Love it!!!

  • The Fab Four's version of this is up on Youtube and is also excellent, plus their George actually does the lead singing and playing, unlike this group. Also check out their Golden Slumbers.

  • ..yes..seen it..I don't think the Fab Four are performing anymore last I heard..don't believe they ever performed this somg live as the Beatles... the Fab Faux honor the Beatles with respect, dignity and grace..sit back and enjoy...

  • The Fab Four are performing. Their Vegas group "Fab Four Mania" shut down for a while. But they're up and running again. Both are run by the same company.

  • ..hello..just saw their version..thanks..not bad but CLEARLY not anwhere near the same caliber of musicianship..on the original recording I do believe George played, as Frank does in the Fab Faux, an acoustic guitar ..the guitar lead was by Eric Clapton, copied note for note, brilliantly, by Jimmy Vivino...not a bad effort by "The Fab Four" though..they sounded okay..play the two back to back and you'll see what I mean

  • I know Clapton played it on the original recording, but you can't have a guest Eric Clapton to do this. Both are good performances, btw.

  • Just saw them 10.25 for the first time, doing the White album in its entirety . . . WOW. Unbelievable how well they reproduce every note, sound effect , word and nuance from the Fabs. They even did Revolution 9. If you have a chance to catch them DON'T pass it up!

  • you guys are good, best tribute band.

  • I abslutely love the Fab Faux! I just saw them 2 months ago and the were amazing! They are much better than the Beatles Rain.

  • Simply amazing! Jimmy's solo and tone (not to mention the period-accurate custom paint-job SG) are dead-on. Best cover of this song I've ever seen. George would be so proud. RIP GH

  • One of the best songs ever written. Great cover and well done. Even my monitor was weeping!! Beatles will live forever!!

  • Completely righteous preparation for tonight's Count Basie Theater Show. This is my first go-round with the Fab Faux and I've been youtubing for a couple of hours. I fully expect to be blown away. Been a Vivino fan for years - used to see him all the time at Downtime on 30th St in the 80's. Thanks for posting this. I think I'll have a hard time staying in the seat and may even shed a tear or two......

  • And they completely rocked the Count Basie Theater Sat. Vivino and the rest were great (someone's got to post a vid of "Oh Darling"). My first time too and I'll be back.

  • This had to be my most favorite song that they did when I saw them in Cleveland. They were amazing, can't wait for them to come around again.

  • I saw these guys last night. They are awesome. If you get a chance, you've got to see them. The end of this song where they stopped and listened to Harrison singing was the most emotional moment.

  • yes! I was in SD too too. I heard on some inside information that the venue manager was being difficult and they decided to do a loud screamy song as the end. That was a kick-ass Helter Skelter!

    very nice theatre too :)

it was my 2nd time seeing them. I'll go anytime they come to CA.

  • Yes, they did do that as an end song! The theatre seats were incredibly small though.

  • ...still I profusely weep...

  • Getting goose bumps listening to this. It's as close as you can get & live. They wouldn't have sounded much different if they were still all here. If only indeed. 7 years ago this November we lost George. Miss you man.

  • If only!!!

  • holy shit the guy playing lead has the eric clapton sg. i had no idea they made a replica of that.

  • They don't. The guitar was custom made.

  • saw them a few days ago at the bowery ballroom this band was incredible i don"t think could have done a better job all that was missing was john's great voice can"t wait to see them again

  • George did the vocals on this song

  • Why don't these guys come to Abbey road on the River?????

Amazing renditions of my favorite songs.

  • exdelente

  • Those of you who mock these guys have not seen them live. They are not pretty boys, but they are fantastic musicians who pay the ultimate tribute to the greatest band ever by playing each song note-for-note perfectly. For anyone, Beatles fan or virgin it is an incredible experience.

  • FnA. Nice guitar Sg, got it right on/

  • The music stands were for the Revolution 9 scripts, later in the show...

  • I know the lyrics so intimately, I'm distressed he has to read them -

  • The music stands were for the "Revolution 9" scripts, later in the show...

  • The music of the Beatles will never die. A thousand years from now, it will still be played and enjoyed.

This is amazing stuff. To see Beatles songs played live that the Beatles themselves could not play live due to limitations in technology.

  • I was at this performance at the Liverpool Beatles Festival a couple of years ago, and will never forget it, it was the entire White Album live, and I never thought I would see it again! Thanks Fab Faux and You Tube for this wonderful memory, and if you ever get a chance to see the Faux, dont miss it, you will never look at tribute bands the same way again. Come back to Liverpool Will and the Faux, we miss you!

  • I'm an old fart who was a teenager when the Beatles brought their genius to the world. I love rock and my taste varies greatly, but my favorite music remains these wonderful songs by the Fab Four. In my opinion, The Fab Faux are fabulous musicians who play The Beatles music on a level that can only be described as superb, and seeing them live was, for me, an evening I'll never forget. Please keep playing boys, we love you, yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Bravo! I couldn't have said it better myself!

  • i saw these guys in NYC. They are amazing live!

  • Comments on the video are welcome, whether they be positive or negative.

Insults to other posters, or to other bands as well as the Fab Faux, are not, and will be removed.

This video has been up a year and a half now, and I'm glad to note that this is the first time I've had to say this. Almost total civility in comments on a music video is a beautiful thing, and says volumes about the audience. Thank you for supporting the timeless music of the Beatles.

    - The Moderator, The Fab Faux

  • Thank you moderator for removing the offensive comments!

  • ignore the troll

  • the hype for this band was amazing but they do suck

  • omg i saw these people they are so amazing they did this song it twas so sad, they did a real tribute to geaorge at the end it was so cool!

  • Wow. If bar mitzvah bands are this good, I wish I had born Jewish!

  • Not too bright, are you?

  • I also saw these guys in Easton in summer 07. Cant explain how f'n good this show is until you see it for yourself.

  • i saw the Fab Faux last night in Peekskill, NY for the first time.. they were amazing. Great show!!! i reccommend them to anyone who gets a chance to see them.

  • The lead guitarist nailed the sound. What pedal(s)(flanger?) & settings on it is he using?

  • hell of a guitar solo...

  • yea both solos are spot on perfect

  • The Fab aux are amzing! I see them every year at the State Theatre in Easton, PA. They sound exactly like The Beatles and they are a hilarious group of people.

  • what a great great band! and superb guitar too, it is SO nice to see someone really play this song with some feeling rather than just a load of ultra fast virtuoso nonsense. A perfect tribute to George

  • i hate to break this to you, but george never played the solo. eric clapton did.

  • Where did I say that George played the solo?

  • Dude...George WROTE the song, so it is indeed a tribute to him.

  • When I saw them play it live at the Keswick, they made that guitar cry (and i was in the front row)! It drove a stake through my heart, it was Incredible!

  • this is GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • I was told about these people by an e friend Gilbert Hetherwick-famous recording artist of Louisiana.

Good stuff-Beatles music should be heard like this sometimes-and Hetherwick is well qualified to recommend them

  • I think the japanese band The Beatrips plays this song much better. Their "George" lead guitarist plays the solo spot on, with all the weird bends and licks of the original.

  • On the original it was Eric Clapton. Who can beat that. (It wasn't George)

  • ..I was intrigued by your post so I decided to listened to the Beatrips version on Youtube thinking we possibly had another Fab Faux on her hands...nice one..you almost had me!!! are they related to you?

  • check out 8 year old Quinn Sullivan to see it played with FEELING

  • An SG painted by "The Fool"?

  • you guys are the best. I am a also beatles fan and i want to sing "i am the walrus with you guys.

  • That SG sounds magnificent (as well as the playing, of course). Frank's vocals are equally beautiful!

  • We played it in the '70's and I especially liked the string bending. What band has done any better since - I ask you?

  • check out "Tribute to Beatles While my Guitar Gently Weeps" from FallingPT.

  • Genial.....merci!!! xxx

  • simply the best group ever assembled to honor the best group ever assembled..amazing!!!

  • Check out Rain. I think they're a lot better. ):

  • Yes, they are good - I'm glad to see more songs recently added. But better, I don't think they can so easily be compared. Rain is a dress up like the Beatles band, Fab Faux is not. Fab Faux has whole album concerts (Revolver, Rubber Soul, Abbey Rd, Sgt Pepper, the (entire)White Album to name a few. btw - I will be seeing Rain as well as Fab Faux live in concert in November. I look foward to both :)

  • it is easy to compare some of the performances right here on YouTube..you may want to check out Rain's version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".. Rain is a good, intertaining theatrical band..however, they do not possess or perform at the same level of muscianship as the Fab Faux.. as professional muscians, the members of Rain would probably be the first to admit this fact..listen in particular to the guitar solos on both versions...which one sounded more like Clapton?

  • Farking Amazing

  • LOL! Someone is complaining because they have sheet music? Stuff and nonsense.

It's am amazing cover of this song, that's all that needed to be said.

    Hey Frank and Chrissie xoxoxoxxoxoxoxo!

  • Excellent rendition of this song. Flawless. Being from the UK, the one thing I noticed is the accent. Sing this song in an even thicker Liverpudlian on this side of the pond! Congrats, once again.
