  • .........Every Animal ABUSER should see this video!

  • ...Don't they think what Baxter feels? I meen, he helps people to die with comfort. How does he feel when everyone who strokes him die in a couple of days?

  • So this dog is supposed to be at home, waiting to die? I would imagine that they (Baxter and the patients) are good for each other. He isn't asked to "do" anything except be. And he's stroked, kissed and held...and he kisses back, too! I think it's simply beautiful.

  • :O HOW can this be allowed?

Is this poor dog (who looked like he was already dead) the only dog that can be trained to be a therapy-dog? I don't think so.

    This made me very sad.

And how anyone can say that this dog enjoyed his life at this stage is beyond me.

  • Poor poor Baxter! How can anyone do that to someone that they love?

  • It is really heartbreaking to watch how egoistic human beings can be. I am glad that this would be considered a high level of animal cruelty in Sweden. All I see in that dog's eyes is complete emptiness and apathy. I don't believe the owners of this dog meant to be cruel to him, I'm sure they just wanted his best..but please people. Dogs are not humans, they don't think like we do and they don't function like us at all. This video made me incredibly sad. Poor dog.

  • beautiful...your movie has touched my very soul...thank you for posting :) x

  • muito comovente e deveras uma lição de vida... obrigado Baxter !!!!!1

  • I'm a Hospice Nurse and a dog mama and to see this video and feel the love that Baxter gave to people at the end of their life was so wonderful. I know that he received just as much from them, as he gave. You can see the joy on the faces and the contentment on Baxter's. What a truly amazing exchange. I was sobbing throughout the whole video. Thank you for letting Baxter bring joy to people that need it most. I'm certain the reason why he lived this long was because of what he did.

  • I'm in total agreement with TheFiachra, the smile on the ladies face,

The comforting look on Baxters face, Priceless......

  • Thank you for this beautiful video about Baxter. Handicapped animals can give us courage and heal our hearts. This is their gift to us. A disability should NEVER be an excuse for euthanization.

  • I do think that Baxter was the Worlds Best Therapy Dog, when he was in GOOD HEALTH. Without the use of his legs, would Baxter have chosen to remain alive? IMO, allowing him to exist in this paralyzed state is not ethical, and at least for animals, euthanasia is legal and encouraged. I strongly disagree with how you handled his last days. Despite the comfort he offered others, his own comfort was not considered.

  • I hope you read Melissa's latest comments on Baxter's last days. She was not abusing him in any possible way. He had the best attention possible and assurance that he was doing fine, medically. Just because you're paralyzed doesn't mean you can't enjoy life and give to others. This is true for animals and humans.

  • God Bless You All....God Holds you in His

    Arms Now.,...!

  • What a precious gift to give to the world.

  • very special indeed

  • ciao baxter, ora sei tornato a casa...il paradiso.

  • Baxter lived a long, full and vital life. He added so much to patients' last hours, and, as it turned out, to his own life as well. I think he received as much as he gave. What a wonder woman Melissa is to share her beloved Baxter with others who needed him most. Thank you Baxter; RIP, over the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you, Melissa.

  • RIP Baxter. You'll be greatly missed

  • Baxter's obituary and his final picture are posted on his web site. Find it by searching for Moments With Baxter via Google

  • What a moving video, Baxter is a real angel. He's helping people when they need him the most. <3

  • Baxter is a true Angel as are all animals, I just wish people would realize this and give them all the care and love they so richly deserve. Seeing such a beautiful video hopefully will make others think just what all the animals of the world should mean to us.

    Thank you Baxter!!!

    Love to you always, Gina

  • this is such a blessing one.

  • We love you Baxter. You are precious. God is using you in a mighty way. Keep going Bax, keep putting smiles on peoples faces.
