The show started to deal with real issues like abortion and homosexuality. The right wing that was in control at the time couldn't handle it. Hell, The right wing tried to pull the plug on PBS because it didn't put the right wing in a good light.
So much for censorship............

Me too, that show was so awesome and heartwarming.
But maybe the reason why its was cancelled is that the cast didnt want another season?
