yes, free markets include free trade. but you as the consumer have the choice of what you buy & where you buy it. another problem is currency value the more a country currency is worth, the more expensive products will be to a country with a currency that has a weaker currency. which would put us in a stronger position to sell goods overseas in our current situation............. if we still made goods in this country. we are no longer an industrial nation, we've become a consumer nation.
of course we aren't an industrial country because the protectionist policies have been stripped for unConstitutional free trade policies. Alexander Hamilton clearly states this topic in the Report on Manufacturers.
