Dont take my word for it, though. Check out the SIPCs own web site, which states: Though created by the Securities Investor Protection Act (15 U.S.C. §78aaa et seq., as amended), SIPC is neither a government agency nor a regulatory authority. It is a nonprofit, membership corporation, funded by its member securities broker-dealers.
Dear John, you filthy old bastard. You and Bush put the nation where it is today with your constant rolling of the dice, your "Bring It on!" and "Mission Accomplished", your deregulation of the financial services industry. Our country used to be the envy of the world and the Republicans have brought us to our very knees. I picked up and moved my young family to Toronto, Canada when your party lied about WMDs in Iraq. When will the lying end? I can't stand mavericks.

The problem is, SIPC is not a regulator.

John - why would anyone trust you with our economy in a shambles courtesy of you and Bush when you can't even master the alphabet?
Unlike what you said at least twice - it is NOT the SPIC, it's the SIPC ((Securities Investor Protection Corporation).
You were also wrong in saying it's a regulatory agency. You should go visit their website to learn about them.
OOOPS ... forgot you know nothing about a major player in our economy - computers.
Plus you also flunked your ABC's.
