i need to get my betta a mate. lol. he's been doing bubble nests like crazy since i got him. Poor little fella used to live in those tiny cups but it didn't take him long to enjoy his freedom in his new place. :)
Now when the male makes his bubble nest do you turn off your filter because i have a waterfall filter and im afraid if i leave it on it will disturb the nest/bettas any suggestions?
How do u take care of the babys how do u feed then I had my female and make beta together for two years now and the beverages had babys because the tank that their in is to small and the water gets dirty in like five days and I have change it every times but I want to stard briding then how do I do it !please!
hey look its a bloodworm! im gonna get it. (comes back up) aw, it's too deep in the water. anyway, where's mommy? im gonna ask her to get me that bloodworm.
@ muffine123 Male and female can be together without fighting. Its the same sex that get stuck together that will fight. And when theres eggs involved its the dad that takes care of em and the mom that eats em. You have to remove the mother. Hope it helps.
Btw I have A question my female and male betta <3 eachother, they wont fight they will cuddle up next to each other, eat together, and yes i am sure they are betta fish female and male, they had babies 2 times, the male was a great father, the babies got moldy, the momma tried to eat her eggs, i removed her so whats up, they love eachother, i no betta fish are fighters, and the male was supposed to attack her, is it hostile old people or are they ssenile/stressed/ or tired? Post reply onmychanel
@muffine123 when betas mate, after the babies are born, you remove the female from the tank or she will eat the babies. The male then takes care of them.
@theG0LDENteap0t Actually she'll not get the opportunity to eat her fry because the male will kill her if she isn't removed immediately after spawning.
@theG0LDENteap0t It may not happen all the time but it you plan on keeping her around for additional spawnings, get her out ASAP or you're asking for trouble!
My babies came out of the bubbles this morning :S they are falling off the bubblenest are they diying ??? the male is trying to put them back into the nest but they are still falling what should i do ?
My babies came off the bubbles this morning :S they are falling off the bubblenest are they diying ??? the male is trying to put them back into the nest but they are still falling what should i do ?
@melissabirbeck You can't actually buy baby Betas. You mate them. Get a tank with a clear divider, and put the male on one side and the female on the other. When the two fish get used to eachother and are sure not to fight take out the divider and eventually they'll mate. I'm pretty sure you can't keep the parents in the tank though. Search it up!
i have a bog question do i need the heater for the baby fry. cuz i check my thermo.... and its around 80 its the ok plz let me know cuz its first time breed it my bettas i have like ten 5 males 5 females i already breed two at the same time but i think the male ate the eggs cuz it past 2 day n i didnt c none but he create more bubbles
@elcholo212 yes u will certainly need the heater for the fry. do you have any vids of your betta couples breeding? keep the water 80 degrees if possible and no lower than 76 degrees. Some breeders I know keep the water closer to 90 degrees but I have never found it necessary. the reason you ain't seen any eggs from breeding is perhaps the female hasn't released the eggs. you got to watch the pair closely while they are breeding or u don't know what happening. recipe for failure
@tjeezyify No, keep the male in for a few more days until the fry are free swimming. You can see my vids to get an idea. Not all the fry will be free swimming. Some will stay at the bottom other will hide in the plants. What I do is watch the male closely. If he starts to eat the fry pull him out. Then it's up to you to keep them alive.
@elborrego4403 People say to take the male betta out immediately, others say to have him stay for a little bit after they're all hatched. It's really up to you. i'm sure they will be fine by themselves because I wouldn't risk the male staying long after they're all hatched.
@elborrego4403 The male won't eat the fry. He actually brings them back up to the bubble nest should they sink. I've got my male in the tank with the one day old fry right now. You can check out my account page to see them breeding. I think the male comes out on the second day. My male is working like a machine to make sure the fry don't sink to the bottom.
Umm where is the male he should stay in rhe tank untill rhe babies are free swimming because they need their dad to tend to them and I'm guessing the white stuff at the bottom was the little babies that didnt make it
I was told by one breeder that fry should be feed 48 hours after hatching as their yolk sac has been used up after this time. Is this true? Please let me know. Thanks.
hello i set up my tank and put female in separated glass, but she escape ( jump and got out) in first day
they did not fight. thats why i leave them together. Now my male betta has build the bubble nest and female has the vertical bars on her tummy. the only problem is that they are together in the same water tank! its been 10 days will this affect the mating ritual?? or its all ok

@dupo25 Actually My Cousins Have Betta Babies and THey Said That When u Put Both Male And Female in Separate Glass Bowls Next to each other, the male will produce Alot of Bubbles And When there is ALOT Pour The Male Into A Bigger Tank ANd Put Plants In there (Fake or Real) For When u Put the Female they Start to fight. @MrOmgMiko ......When you are familiar with the processes, everything is under your control, including the breeding. You become the god of them. Of course, you have to take good care of them.....^^
how long did it take ur male to blow that nest? B/c my male's blowing bubbles but they keep popping tho. do u have any tips on clues why they are popping?
@siuguai excuse me ... i've been breeding 2 years ago ..and the only wrong thing u stated is they actually rely their own egg yolk as food for only 2 day ..
@l33t0611 ...I always remove the male one day after the egg delivered, as some of the males eat the moving small bettas. One day breeding by the male is enough.
bubble! bubbles! my bubbles.

@MrOmgMiko ......When you are familiar with the processes, everything is under your control, including the breeding. You become the god of them. Of course, you have to take good care of them.....^^

how long did it take ur male to blow that nest? B/c my male's blowing bubbles but they keep popping tho. do u have any tips on clues why they are popping?
bB0yFury 1 year ago
They are not betta fries, but instead, are Chuck Norris' sperm. They are so big that you can actually see and observe without a microscope.

rycygan925 1 year ago 6
@rycygan925 .....They are native with their own food for the first three days, then you can feed them with fairy shrimp at the 4th day......^^
siuguai 1 year ago
@siuguai excuse me ... i've been breeding 2 years ago ..and the only wrong thing u stated is they actually rely their own egg yolk as food for only 2 day ..
shadowfaithx 10 months ago
@rycygan925 they feed off their yolk sack

@rycygan925 my guess would be liquifry, or baby brine shrimp.

is it okay to remove the male early
l33t0611 1 year ago
@l33t0611 ...I always remove the male one day after the egg delivered, as some of the males eat the moving small bettas. One day breeding by the male is enough.

@siuguai Can you explain to me the setup you have here?
