@enapper1 I grew up in the Kalahari. The footage for this video is edited to look like the bird is guiding the badger over many miles. In fact, the Guide Bird sits very near beehives and will tweet at any animal (including humans) that comes past. The same way that scavengers have learnt that if you see vultures circling there must be a carcas of meat nearby, so animals have learnt that a Guidebird kicking up a raket means there is honey nearby. Also, both animals eat bee larvea not the honey.
@MrFuhrer2009 Ratels attack animals on or around the soft underbelly. They have very powerfull jaws (not as powerfull as the Hyena's I must add) and they are very adgile and fast. In a fight between a hyena and a badger the hyena will win, but it will also sustain very serious injuries and would therefor not bother attacking a badger. I have heard of farmers whose dogs have been killed because a ratel has ripped open the belly or the throat. Very serious damage.
Yeah!! I think this is totally a fake made up script!! Too bad! It had me going there for a minute!! Damn!! There's no way the badger would leave some loot for the bird! No way! i hate when humans do this type of manipulation!! I'd like to eat off this creators head!
I call shenanigans. I think the bird is a fake. Look at the parts when the bird lingers over the badger. It's wings aren't right. Was this intended to be humorous I wonder?
The bird here may be fake, but they are real. Even humans use these birds to find honey. :3

Even if the bird was a fake, still pretty bad ass that the badger stood his ground against a hyena!
PHILLYHEAT215 4 months ago
That bird is clearly fake. In fact, there's no evidence anywhere that they guide honey badgers to honey. So this entire thing is a set up.

Gee, that's not a fake bird being dangled from a string over the honeybadger. No, not at all (sarcasm).
