  • Is there a way to find the name of the tune that plays during Nicaea concil?

  • why the lights mate i wathced this video in school with my class it wasent like that

  • Why is Constantine so Shiny?

  • I do not believe that Constantine was a Christian. I think he was rather a man who used the Instrumentum Regni, the power of religion to rule the greatest empire in history.

In any case, CroPETROforever I love your videos, congratulations!

  • @RozanKoryuha thx :)

  • @RozanKoryuha When Constantine became imperator Romanorum, only the 10%-20% of the empire's populace consisted of Christians. How can sb believe that it was easier for him to support than persecute the Christians? A cunning leader tries to blandish the majority and not the minority of his people.

  • @Lhein33 Yes, indeed this was a weird thing, not only that Christians were a minority in the Roman Empire, but Constantine was pagan. He was "turned" christian after his death. He supported the Christians, because their faith, in time, begun to develop and "grow". So, he hadn't any choice but to join the winners (Christians) over the "losers" (pagans).

  • @james16181001 The fact is that in Constantine's era the Christians were a minority (the 15% of the empire's population). So, how can you say that Constantine chose to join the winners? How can a minority be the winner? If Constantine had acted on the basis of supporting his authority, he would have supported the pagans who were much more. The same thing was done by all the other emperors. I'm afraid your argument has clay legs.

  • @Lhein33 That's not my argument or opinion, I have red it in a book. You're right when you say "how did Constantine choose the Christians when they were a minority?". the fact is that they were wining, they were making more Christians, in time, pagans were converting and Constantine knew, who the "winner" would be. That's why he joined the Christians. He joined them, not only because they were winning, but mostly, for the fact that his empire should had one religion, should had unity

  • @Lhein33 because without unity, his empire couldn't go any further....

  • @james16181001 Yes, but why not base his empire on the unity created by paganism (the religion of the majority) but on christianity (faith of the minority)?

  • @Lhein33 that, i don't really know, but as I said, Christians were making more and more people like themselves, they were converting them into Christians, and the "minority" began to grew... Constantine was wise, he analyzed the situation, and he saw who were winning (although, slowly) and he realized that he had no choice but to declare Christianity as the formal faith of the Roman Empire... even if he had chosen pagans, Christians, would still go on converting people...

  • @Lhein33 P.S.: In that time believing in many gods, was not "helping" very much (I speak for the poor), so they who were poor (naturally, the majority of the people that lived in the empire) decided that they had to believe in ONE god. Christianity helped them to ask their rights and to revolt to the rich people. That's why Christianity spread so much iin the Roman Empire and normally pagans got out-numbered, that was the reason why they were winning...

  • @james16181001 1. I can't see how the belief in one God "helps" the poor.

    2. Christians never revolted against the rich people, they didn't revolt against their persecutors either.

    3. The poor were the majority in the empire, but they were not all Christians. I repeat that the Christians when Constantine became emperor were only the 15% of the empire's population.

  • @Lhein33 Not only that, but the lessons of Christianity somehow helped them, in a way or another... I can't tell you specifically how.. I know that they were only 15% of the population, but don't forget that one of their missions was converting others to their faith... to spread the true word of god.. etc., etc., that's all i can say... they EXPANDED...

  • Am I dreaming this? Sure feels like it.

  • Constantine the Great ----> I L L Y R I A N

  • @VigisKane true :)

  • @roxanne1709 you see the battles without lights, but lights are on face of constantine and his soldiers because what he did, was more than battle... it was a religious move that changed face of the world... (europe, africa and asia) with christianity... I'm sorry if you don't like it.

  • Epic!!!

  • Isn't that the music from Star Wars Episode I:The Phantom Menace?

  • @98bigbutt yes :) and thank your for all of your nice comments on my videos :)

  • @CroPETROforever,No problem man. I love this compilation so much, that I kept all 3 of them in my profile channel.

  • @98bigbutt :)

  • @CroPETROforever Hey Daniel I think you should put in the title Constantine the great instead of Emperor Constantine. And by the way Constantine the great was Thracian by his father and Greek by his mother side. And Constantinople beared his name for centuries. And we still call it Constantinople.

  • @Zorro11144 Yeah I know he was from southeastern europe :) anyway, name constantine the great is put in description of video :)

  • @98bigbutt Thats cuz constantine is like Darth maul

  • Man, this was an awesome compilation! Thumbs up! :D

  • @AirAssault7 thank you :)

  • @Flamemon18

This is good however he and his men saw a the sun in the shape of a cross. Saying "In this sign you shall conquer."

  • @Flamemon18 THANK YOU VERY MUCH :)

  • whats with that heavenly light shit man? I get the point but its ruining the quality of the video

  • The video is good but the helmets in this video lack accuracy. Where are the spangenhelms?

  • The Roman Empire did not collapse, Western provinces were overrun but then the Eastern part of the Empire held strong and reconquered the Western half, after the Eastern fell Holy Roman Emperors such as Charlemagne led great Frankish and Spanish Empires under the Pope, in one form or other the Roman Empire lived on, it is Christendom, Europe etc. Its face may have changed but only today is it truly on the verge of extinction.

  • "Heavenly father, open your arms to receive the soul of one who lived and died the purest knight of all" - ALL OF YOU who are fighting here, no matter of your religion, do not understand those words :) if you want to undarstand them, find the valor in your heart and watch this movie without hate to anyone :) greets

  • nice video! that glow effect is shit.

  • traitre a l'empire traitre aux dieux traitre aux paiens il aurai du mourir!!!!!!

  • Rome was the bigest bullshit in Europ. Rom just exist 500 years.

Greek was world ruler for 1000 yers done so muthch for the hold world.

Greek exist since over 2000 yers.

And if greek get power again even the AMIS will have fear, greek was fighting so mucht so many enemy defet, never was seen so strong power aigan.

Rome just scraps (Inzucht), Rome = bullshit.

  • then came after this the greatest form of collectivsm the world has ever seen.=christianity. after this came the death of hellenism and the creation of the dark ages. christianity just riped of hellenism. the cross is a ancient hellene symbol= tetractus=1+2+3+4=10=1+0=1. the word christ is a ancient greek word. if you ever read stobaios peri christos. the idea is pure hellenic. and the symbol on the shields is pure hellenic. that is why ancient greece got destroyed. you need dumbed down surfs.

  • this is an obvious attempt at misdirecting people toward a lie. constantine had more christians killed than any emperor that ever ruled in rome. he also made a decree that anyone who would give their day as a sabbath on saturday would die, he (constanimus augustus) owned the sabbath of saturday and worship would be on sunday. you should ck your facts before proclaiming the wonderful attributes of an evil man.

  • the green laser target makes it look stupid

  • Great Costantine is my hero!!! (i have the same name :P)

Again u made awesome video CroPETROforever.

  • Constantine of then & the "holy" roman empire, STILL know NOTHING of CREATOR, CHRIST, or "christianity".

  • In Hoc Signo Vinces! In Nomine XRI Vincas Semper!

  • On of the Kosovon Born man.......... Constantine hidden until now as most of Europe's history has.......

  • Well-made, if a bit biased. However, you seem to have made an effort to ensure some historical accuracy in the soldiers (I have an eye for that sort of thing).

Is this a trailer for a movie or a stand-alone vid?

Anyway, in your summary you call Constantine the first christian emperor, but this is not strictly true. He remained a devotee of Sol Invictus until his death, when he was baptised. Anyway, I still think your vid is well-made, congratulations :)

  • @JulianusFlavius1 thank you very much.... clips are from BBC documentary ancient rome. I remember that I was doing this video 4 hours... cuting, editing, puting music etc... :)

  • @JulianusFlavius1 , in retrospect christianity and mithras are one in the same religion , so to say that constantine wasnt a christian but a worshiper of sol invictus is like saying me being a man and love the same gender but i am not homosexual. its one in the same religion

  • some say Christianity caused the roman collapse

  • @eidius1989 that is 30% true... but roman colapse is much larger subject than just pointing to christianitiy :) western roman empire was directly on way of new ethnic people in great european migration... also many of roman soldiers in that times, were not romans... but germans...

  • @CroPETROforever well both Islam and Christianity ruined 2 great empires even if both of them were conducted by barbaric horde be they Germans or Arabs. I sometimes wish that the Byzantines and Persians would have made peace at some point before the Arabs showed up Persia would have definitely pushed them back to their desert and the people of middle east would be either Farsi or Greek depending what would have happened next. O well history is amazing, there is always the "what if"

  • @CroPETROforever Rome wasn't created in a day and it did not fall in a day either. i know that but it accumulates.

  • @eidius1989 as cropetroforever said germans werent loyal to rome and it all started when the visigoths rebelled against the romans and beat legions at the battle of adrianople. also rome had plague, famine, inflation, and people would barter. rome collapsed when odoacer captured rome itself

  • Christianity isnot going to be the dormant religion of the westerm world in the future.

Than muslim army of 3000 muslim in momaham time fought than Roman army of 100,000. 20,000 heavy armoured roman attack the muslim position held by 3000 muslim with no armour and light weapon. 500 muslim where killed but 10,000 roman where killed and 10,000 badly wound. The Roman ended they advance on Medine.

  • cool, guy playing Constantine ive seen on Torchwood, great English actor

  • long live the Orthodox and screw the Western Catholics i love you St.Constantine

  • Brother why you got to hate on us Western Catholics. Were both Christians!

  • Yeah & whom he calls St. Constantine was a Catholic

  • @DangeloM27 CroPetro is also a Western Catholic. He is a Dalmatian and he is Roman Catholic.

  • @DangeloM27but take a look about your religion: inquisition, many philosophers change the roman catholic faith(Louther, kalvin, protestants),see how the pope gave blessing or how he was accepting apologizes .We are still orthodox none of us change the orthodoxy, the orthodox balkan people was under islam the head of our church was feared soultan's anger(he couldn't help us) but we stay strong in our faith .Why???(because our faith was pure!!)

  • @DangeloM27 well the christian church was one once the catholic, but since the pope change some parts of the christian religion the eastern church refuse the pope's ideas as true .so the first step of the future schism was that!after this the pope was afraid the orthodox influence as threat bigger than islam . so many other things happened during the centuries and drive to the point of the Great Schisma!

  • @DangeloM27 We hate you, because the ,catholic crusaders, looted the home of orthodox christianity, they ,destroyed and stole the orthodox relics and monuments, and now those magnificent monuments inspires the western european culture!(the bronze horses of saint marcos at Venice was at Constantinople's once magnificent hippodrome).

  • @DangeloM27

Never apologize or compromise with a BIGOT

  • @DangeloM27

read about what happened in 1204 A.D., «brother»... Even your pope John Paul II asked forgiveness for the crimes of «westerndom» against the Roman Empire of Constantinople.. all of your forefathers united in greed to destroy the eastern bastion of Christianity.. We forgive, but will never forget!

  • @DangeloM27 western church are heretics pope is an heretic

  • All of Christianity is a scam created by the Roman emperors to make people subservient to it. The Emperors controlled the Bishops sometimes, and some times the Bishops controlled the Emperors, but they were all vile, vicious blood thirsty monstrosities.

  • That doesn't make sense, since people died bu the emperor's hands for it

  • @ambrosiustranquillus

and where is your evidence of this? Were you a Bishop in Rome?

  • RomanianSlave, shut up & respect this Catohlic before I whip you

  • @romanianslav3

    Constantine is no saint

  • @tacotony24 who told you that ? the pope? And if you have any problen with that check the history and see who found the holly cross!

  • @ImperatorR0manorum

"...who told you that ? the pope?" - where in my statement did I quote a pope, None - idiot!

"..And if you have any problen with that check the history and see who found the holly cross!" - "Problem" not "problen", "holy" not "holly" - at least get your spelling right! So what has the founding of the cross has to do with his holiness?

  • @tacotony24 and "who told you that the pope....." was an irony for the catholic church! About religion: the religion is not a toy, you can not transform, the religion into something similar and then says i am a christian NO you are not a christian you are ,heretic! The orthodoxy is the pure christian religion ,since the time that christianity became dominant religion!

  • @tacotony24 (during the roman times, many ,christian relics were lost and the finding of the Cross was a miracle, for this reason the christian church called him saint ,also the constantine establish for himself and for his succesors the title of god's envoy, so from the historical side maybe this was an other reason, that church, called him, saint ),

  • @tacotony24 You are saying that i am an idiot, do you know me? I am a book of history and a scientist of physics and you are saying that i am an idiot .The great Constantine became a saint because he found the holy (as you want) Cross

  • @ImperatorR0manorum

Stupid Moron! Constantine didn't find the cross. It was his mother (Helena) that found the cross.

These came from the writings of Socrates Scholasticus (born circa 380), Sozomen (died circa 450), and Theodoret (died circa 457).

book of history my ass, the kids in 8th grade knew this better than you, what a moron

  • ΕΝ ΤΟΥΤΩ ΝΙΚΑ

  • Ahhhh, no problem, St. Constantine is a very important person, I have written a lot about him in one of my blogs.

  • Bishreyn, s'il te plait faite attention a cette video magnifique, tes arguments sont insuffisants. Pour moi tu es un fiseur.
