  • @adogg803 i was 16 when i bought my first 87 iroc z28 and it cost me 120 bucks a month, liability insurance to drive it. but I'm in the military now and at 20 it cost me 80 bucks per month. i own a 67 now

  • I just came all over my keyboard.

  • hahah my temp gauge doesn't work either. 2:49

  • that red is so sexy.

  • I can't believe my '86 is gone, damnit. Gonna have to buy another. Driving these new cars feel like shit.

  • horn is installed wrong

  • @SinistralEbb

i think its TBI not a carb

  • Wheres the t-top bag?

  • Who cares, it's an automatic...next.

  • not all irocs had the 350 tpi, look at this website for more info

    thirdgen.org

  • @NoPrayer4TheDying that engine looked like a 305 TBI. clean looking engine but about the worst v8 u could have. a 2.8 with a full exhaust uprgrade would have almost as much HP as the 305 TBI

  • im speechless

  • how much did it sell for??

  • i got a questions what are you using in that car that made it start up like that just like dead start in like 2 sedonds it started without andy hassle or chichichcihcihc sound then starts

  • @josh666675 It is just the way it starts. Motor is stock.

  • @StreetsideClassics ok i guess this is great song though for the video what are you using that made it so clear i want to do a video just like this and my starts like that now to tuned it up a bit

  • @StreetsideClassics I just got my hands on one as well. turn key and it fires the same exact way..

    Gotta love the 5.7

  • @StreetsideClassics this goes direct in to your mail e mail.

in 1986 i join int camaro club.in 1989 at icc nationals we had a president from G.M

    who had a 350 bog block iroc-z.member who 85 black golden iroc-z

that ride was like F 15 jet fighter and for me it was it is the mighty iroc-z

I bet if you bring this model back in modern 2010 outfit.wil sell as hot cakes.

sound i love it right sound.

  • @josh666675 The ignition systems in these are about as good as any aftermarket system you can buy- comparable to MSD even, in my opinion. I had an '88, 305 5spd, that had been through an odometer rollback in the late 90's by a previous owner and still showed 147,000 when I sold it. It would fire up just like this one even on a cold day. They really are a diamond in the rough when compared to other sports or "muscle" cars of the era.

  • @josh666675 My iroc starts like that barley hit the key and shes running but when it gets warmed up its harder 2start for some reason

  • thats really not a irocs z if it doesnt have a 350tpi all irocs came with that

  • @josh666675 The 305 was an option for those who wanted the handling of the IROC but the fun and control of the T-5. I had an '88 305 IROC. Sadly GM never coupled the T-5 with the 5.7L. It just couldn't handle even the +40hp gain. Although an AWD 6spd IROC was in development for a short time. Can you imagine an AWD IROC!?

  • @08MiKe80 awd i dont belive it where did u get that information

  • @josh666675 wrong iroc s did have a 350 till 87 in 85 86 87 there where a mix of carb and TPI motors

  • i have a blue one rebuilt NOT forsale looks jus this great wouldnt trade it for nothing

  • Awsome Iroc, i have a 91' RS and im looking to come into a nice Iroc soon, id love either a 5-speed 305 or the auto 350, not a big fan of the auto 305 though. As for being underpowered they really werent but many mistake them as being since they were 80s cars and their horsepower rated around 220 for 305s and 250 for 350s, but horsepower isnt everything, the 305s could really haul with the 5-speed and the 350s packed around 380 torque! (in comparison the 2011 Mustang JUST hit that mark) =D

  • that is in amazing condition, thats probably better than original

  • great background music !! 1987, a great year !

  • i bet that thing has never seen daylight!!

  • this is hands down the best looking iroc ive ever seen in my life!

  • I noticed engine looked like a 305 TBI I thought IROCS came with tuned port injection.

  • not all! i know it's weird! FYI: iroc-z is basically just an handling package not necessarily a performance model!

  • Well it did have some performance aspects, like the Iroc 305 was around 220hp while the RS 305 was closer to 190hp and the Iroc had the optional 350 which seemed meak at 250 or so horses but with 380 torque this thing could really move =D

So a few minor differences here and there, not much though drivetrain-wise, although this car here does sound like its been cammed i wouldnt be surprised if it made more horses than stock

  • I mean, these model were cool yet, waaaaaaay underpowered.

  • wow, i want to kill myself now.
