Correcting myself: Jack Nicholson's directorial debut was "Ride The Whirlwind" with Cameron Mitchell (I think the last name is right) it was serious flick. 1965. Then he did Drive, He Said -- film about his first love, basketball -- the this one. His second love I think, is the cowboy life! Well he's an old rogue... gmt
@gmt3010 nicholson also directed, uncredited, THE TERROR; monte hellman, francis coppola, and jack hill also did uncredited direction for that roger corman movie.
RIDE IN THE WHIRLWIND and THE SHOOTING were both directed by monte hellman and starred nicholson.
nicholson did write the monkees movie HEAD, and THE TRIP, another roger corman movie, about lsd.
noticably nasaly and thin. Wonder why?
