  • i'm trying to listen to all of her songs in the order they came out..... does anyone know a website with a complete list?

  • @sasha12695 go to h tt p :// ww w. ite mvn. co m/

  • @Gizardofmars thanks

  • She was the best at studio produced catchy pop dance songs but you can really tell that the bitch has not got the pips to belt out a ballad like this.

  • One of the best slow-dancing songs of its time

  • Great Song and Madonna added to its greatness!

  • MADONNA (QUEEN OF POP)

  • Just when you think you're going to give up on Madonna--you hear her sing this song and remember how incredibly talented she is...

  • love don't live here anymore rose royce

  • Nile Rodgers arrangement of this song is simply beautiful!! Love this version!

  • That was a pretty bad version. what was up with the violin parts?

  • Shes so hott

  • Love don't live with 23 people anymore.

  • Can anyone tell me the singer of the version of the song that starts with a slow rap "What does it profit a man if he loses his soul and gain the whole world. Think life in motion, foresee the way forward take a step back" thanks.

  • @kingsleykobo male or female singer?

  • @kingsleykobo That's my favourite version of the song, it was sung in the 90's by Double Trouble. Unfortunately YouTube don't have the video or the video version of the song. You need to go to MTV for that.

  • great version

  • I DID NOT KNOW MADONNA HAD A VERSION OF THIS SONG. LOVE IT!

  • @DominicanLova she has 2 versions:)

  • UNA VERSION EXCELENTE.

  • As much as I like dallas green's cover, this is the best version.

  • @wolfhawkpk86 Totally!!

  • que razon tiene esta cancion es un rola llena de feeling obscuro

  • 3:29 to 3:50 specially 3:49 to 4:07 & the final 4:25 to 4:49

  • this is a song that is so true.......

  • Wtf. Jus let rose royce sing this please!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow she actually does have a good voice now that shes singing a serious song.

  • miss you erin :(

  • Rose Royce, Meek Mill, City And Color, Madonna... no matter how this song is done, I always love it!

  • The Madonna's voice is amazing :O

  • In terms of both arrangement & vocal I prefer this version to the one she recorded in 1996 for "Something to Remember." The 96 version is slower in tempo--it feels plodding to me. Crisper orchestration on the original is also superior. And the vocal...many think the 96 version is strong because it was recorded during the time in which she underwent vocal training to sing the Evita songs, but I think there is so much more personality and emotion in her original vocal. The end is incredible.

  • @saltwatercb you're right. I always like this one , beautiful, more real, the end is better, even if the newer one is better done...it's very sleepy

  • I've heard a few versions of this song and I think this is honestly the best version I've heard. There's so much emotion and power in her voice, she really sells it for me.

  • Rose Royce is better.

  • I never knew she remade this..

  • Oh my god, the City and Colour cover is so much better.

  • @gagedanielson Thats Because both Madonna and Rose Royce aren't Dallas Green.

  • Crap they left it off the immaculate collection. Add True Blue too.

  • Always luved this song

  • Great early vocal by Madonna.. Very Impressive! I Have Always loved it when Madonna goes into her lower register with her voice.

  • The drumming on this is fantastic, by the way.

  • So glad to find this song that I loved years ago. For a unknown reason, it came back to my memory 2 days ago, after all those years! Still so beautifull!

  • @melisse610 Me too! Brings back so many memories of going to dances and needing to slow-dance to it every time. It's just such an emotional song.

  • She has a touching voice

  • LMBAO

Look at how many folks liked this song back then. This is an absolute rape of the original song.

I read some comments just after I killed the noise in the 20th second or so. I just had to check the 'oh so good voice' because she NEVER had one. And waddayaknow?!? SHAIT! Moanig and groaning is not singing. But for a chimp... she did a great job. Sjeez.

    JayJBee

"What is it you people suffer of?"

  • good sh1t, good remake, hard to top the original especially from such a group as Rolls Royce, but ya did

anyways cheers from kid metal a.k.a. creeper x-niegbor, i mean by Alice Wainwright park,

  • Ha this brings back memories of the 7th grade talent show I sang this song with my eyes closed because I was so nervous and this was like in 97 so everybody in the back of the auditorium sang the Faith Evans version LOL but I was so into discovering Madonna back then The Queen still reigns

  • I bought this record when it came out. I thought it then and I still think now that this is the best song she's ever recorded. Bar none.

  • Someone posted on Rose Royce original version they like this better. It upset me to think anyone could be that crazy. I had never heard this version, so i wanted to check it out. I'm very impressed, but i'll still take the diamonds

  • This song was an excellent remake (originally from Rolls Royce 6 years prior )

Madonna has had so many great songs.

  • This version is beast. <3

  • Amo el gemido del min 4:38...lo amo.!!!

  • check city and color's cover its amazing

  • @nakhsa18

That's actually how I first heard this song. I prefer Dallas Green's version over this one. City And Colour is amazing.

  • @nakhsa18 Best song ever (the covered version of course)!

  • you look like ac green, bitch don't call here no more

  • Entourage brought me here

  • @tsampaola not me :P

  • the new version was too rushed. Love this one..

  • Me fascina Madonna

  • This is the 1984 version, which IMO is the better of the two. The vocals on this are much rawer, which works.

  • I think love doesn't live there anymore.

  • I can picture the rain falling down in this song, with chills all over my body. I love it!

  • wow, this was one of the most touching ballads ive ever heard(L) thnx madonna!

  • City & Colour brought me here.

  • ???

  • This is the only song on Like A Virgin that i don't really like

  • I like the 1984 version better.

  • When I first heard this song, I was appalled that she would think that she could even take on Rose Royce's song. But then after listening to it again, to me it showed that Madonna had potential t hat she hadn't even begun to show with her first album. This song is just the first of many gems where she let us have a little peak of what she was hiding until she finally showed us with "You Must Love Me"!

  • she actually is crying at the end they decided to leave it in

  • cover interpretata magistralmente!

  • @MrJkow im sure this is the 1984 version

  • @1thetweekmaster This is the 1984 album version. They say she re-recorded it in 1995 but I think they just recycled her vocals.

  • @nonnahsmai I hate this version which is why I was glad when she redid this song in 1995.

  • The original version is way better Rose Royce Love don't live here anymore

  • madonna made me feel her pain most of the time i hate remakes, but she killed it.

  • This is meant to be a delicate, fragile song. Modonna screams it through the whole song. I, personally don't care for it, but if you like it, I'm glad for you! :^)

  • @datsyhoehoe thank you

  • fuck you guys this jam is kool as fuck .......brings back memories

  • LINDA MIRAMONTES I´LL NEVER FORGET YOU YOU ALWAYS BE A PART OF ME!

  • I've always loved this song but didn't realise what I had been listening to was the remixed version. The original is so much better. I guess it's the imperfections that make it so much better to me. :) Her voice sounds so affected like she really means what she's singing. And like that commenter said before the part where she sounds like she's crying...amazing!

  • @RAY: I DON'T AGREE. @Ddatsyhoehoe: I agree

  • This is better than the original, really.

  • Man, don't fix it if it aint broke! Rose Royce is the bomb on this song. It THEIR song and this version just doen't evoke the same emotion as the original. Don't get me wrong. I love Madonna or I wouldn't be on this site, but I just like the original. Go listen to it!

  • @datsyhoehoe i love rose royce but this a damm good cover.

  • @datsyhoehoe rr is boring comparing to m

  • love the words how true !!! what a song

  • thats the truth love her music .good jod god bless

  • thats the truth

  • Used to listen to this song over and over.... so moving to me in my life at the time. Thanks for posting this song and this album...

  • Version original !! Comme celle de mon adolescence que j'écoutais en boucle sur mon Walkman K7 ...... que de souvenirs

    Merci au posteur.

  • 80s madonna at her best

  • OMG.....,WOW...CAN U FEEL ME....

  • she is good stop whingen

  • huge madonna fan but have to say i like rose royce's better!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this song

    hating being divorced clb

  • @Mr671120 Sorry to hear about that. I hope you can look to M to guide you through this tough time as I have done during breakups. Not only does she have the soundtracks to our lives, I also take inspiration from the fact that she's someone who has gone through breakups and divorces and come out stronger and better from it. Chin up! :)

  • @Mr671120 I feel for you.....This song came out just as i was going thru a messy seperation ...The Girl I wanted just couldnt leave her husbnad and hell why should she have i was a bad fcka then...then i grew up too late for my ex n kids...Keep strong

  • @Mr671120 Join the club :) I have been going through it too but it gets better. Hang in there!

  • This is the slutty version as opposed to the original, sultry, sexy bedroom original version of Rose Royce.

  • @MANILABOY6631 Slutty ? What are you on ? LOL!!

  • She did a great job!In the 80's the artists have released always interesting albums ,with ballads, dancing music etc...

Today I see no album like in the 80's...I feel that the music became too superficial....

  • I generally dont like remakes, Madonna did her thing on this one its what made me buy the album back in the day, However, the original by Rose Royce is still the best.

  • I must say I generally dont like remakes but when Madonna put this out in 1984 not long after the original it became a favorite of mine. While I love this by her, the origanl is still the best.

  • some cover versions are better than the original. this is one example.

  • It's like in this day and age the label 'pop' means disposable music. Ready-made and plastic like microwave dinner, but in the 80's pop was force that commanded respect. Namely Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, Duran Duran, Miami sound Machine. I think Madonna did total justice to this song...not just Madonna but the producers as well. Epic.

  • The I'm Talking version of this song - released around the same time as this - runs rings around this version

  • It's not 'Rolls Royce', it's Rose Royce!!

  • These broads today can't compete with any of her albums from the 1980's none of them, The Madonna Album, Like a Virgin, and Like a Prayer or the Emmaculate Collection is classic shit, enough said, this is when Madonna had to prove herself

  • this is classic shit, even though this was a remake of Rolls Royce's song I am sure most of you young people probably don't know who Rolls Royce is, but the song interpretation and whole music production kicked ass, this is when Madonna was Madonna, this album Like a Virgin really kicked ass and still does. I have this in my closet somewhere, but it is hard to find tape players anywhere, everything is digital. It's a mix of rb/pop but more rb. Dress U up, shoo be doo, good listening 2 also

  • I'm not a big Madonna fan---BUT--- This song really gets me right---HERE•••

  • I was impressed when I heard this on her album back in the day. I still believe she did a good job on Rolls Royce's song. Go 'head Madonna.

  • Flawless !

  • Sono passati molti anni ma l'emozione nell'ascoltarla non cambia: bellissimo lamento d'amore . Buon ascolto

  • @dpeterk: are you sick or somethin'?

  • @krongkrongkrong You obviously know nothing about music, dude.

  • how i feel at the moment

  • one of my favorite songs. xo

  • I like this A LOT I never knew she did a cover of this song.

  • I love both versions of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" by Madonna and Rose Royce.

  • a very, very good job! I love the part where it sounds like she's crying at the end...I was very impressed with this...and this was on her second album in '84--wow!

  • @xanderdom8

She was actually crying. She was overcome with emotion at

the end. Check out the Wikipedia page on this song.

  • @xanderdom8 she really was crying niles rodgers the producer of the song kept it in the song

  • Check out Rose Royce version

  • @xanderdom8 she was crying at the end-this is a very emotional song to sing

  • Absolutely love this song! Madonna did a good job with this one.

  • Why do people compare this to the Kerli song? They don't even have the same melody.

  • @thatsnotmydonut it simply just contains the element "love dont live here anymore" thats all.

  • GREAT SONG.

  • I used to LOVE this song!

  • me encanta esta cancion!!!

  • shes very good at ballad singing as she expresses it well emotionally!

  • I love Madonna, but this is so poor compared to the original. It's funny how people have said that they thought she was "black" when she first hit the charts. I sure didn't.

  • SURPRISE! she can sing!

in this song she makes me feel something, and this feeling is the most important for every song. On AMERICAN IDOL many girls sing better, but without emotion, without personality and charisma.... they can't make us feel nothing!!!

  • ok wtf this is not a better version ROSE ROYCE KILLED IT come on now how can u think this is better this world is nutz

  • @jadababy024 agreed

  • like this version better madonna can sing!

  • this was my favorite of madonnas songs it better than rose royce

  • This is old school Madonna. I think this was raw emotion put into it.

  • This song is wack!. She ruined a classic R&B song by Rose Royce.

  • @TooOldForGames oh really ?? ruined??

  • @fzappa007 Yes indeed!

  • @TooOldForGames This was my favorite song when I was 13--When it came out and back then I didn't pay attention to the lyrics--My grandpop died and this is the song I equate with him dying. Your entitled to your opinion but do you need to be so hateful about it?

  • @tawnyaeaston1 I'm just speaking the truth. Everytime some pop singer with an average voice does a remake of an old school R&B song people act like they have done something spectacular and then on top of that you have all of these young clueless kids who were born in the 1980's and 1990's disrespecting the original recording artist Rose Royce by saying it's better than the original version which is a big joke.

  • It's only Rose Royce cover.

  • Madonna kicks ass!!

  • What, Madonna cant sing or sing perfectly? Absolute rubbish as she has her own unique voice that is A class. Her voice and singing style are just great...

  • You dont know what your talking about.......she would't be where she is today if she did'nt know how to sing.........one of her meanest tracks, been listening to it for 20 yrs......yes 20 years and she still mean...........bigtime :)

  • ITS LIKE ALL THE STUDENTS OF THE BIBLE AGAINSNT ME!!!ITS THE LYRICS IN ERVERY SONG ROCK,LOVE SONG,I AM HERE WITH YOU!!PAPA HELP MKE WITH YOUR SONGS AND THE LYRICS.....SONG OF SONGS....

  • Sorry I meant 1996...

  • I love this version the best! She charted with her 1995 dance version but it loses it for me with the addition of the hip/hop beat. Thanks TheMadonnaCN for posting this song and video.

  • Thanks for at least putting this version on YouTube. I think it is the best version of this song ever. Her 1995 remake charted but it is a little different and I prefer it without the hip/hop beat.

  • I like two versions of this song; this one and the one by Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige, and then the original. But this is my favorite version as of current. Her voice is just amazing and she's not just making a cover for it, she's sining it like she actually wrote the lyrics herself. I love it.

  • i like this, i think its very dramatic, and the peoples who dont like this version what are doing here?

  • @Docmananoff Baby if u don't like it, what u is doing here? byee!

  • Yeah go Dallas go youtube.com/watch?v=kblysDNrNDg
