Somehow I missed this video, but I wanted to clarify your assertion that "Sony needs Valve more than Valve needs Sony".

Keep in mind that Sony isn't the 1 trying to expand way out of its traditional element....Valve is. Valve is also the one that has no other major platform to expand to, especially since there's no way in hell MS is going to let Valve/Steam onto XBOX 360/LIVE when they are competing with GFWL.

Sony is the 1 with the platform that's ALLOWING Valve in.

Yes, but then, you have to wonder WHY theyre allowing valve. Valve already has a strong name. They could easily go console without any problem and theyre online platform is already Equal to Live and DEFIANTLY superior to PSN.

To the point, Sony "allows" valve in because it puts them in a VERY good position. Look at the people including myself to picked up a PS3 just because of it.

What Valve brings, is another piece to Sony's machine...another piece in Sony's ramp up to battle App itunes. But make no mistake, Valve is the underling in this relationship and when they do eventually put their (and others) PC games on the PSN, Sony will still be getting its cut.

I don't deny Valve's power and fierce fan loyalties, But compared to Sony, with everything they bring and are (Movies, Music, TV, and games that they own....not mods lol), Valve is a "Jr".

No I wouldn't be exclusive to Sony and reason being is I have always shelled out thousands upon thousands to valve already and they would "HOPEFULLY" learn from Microsofts mistakes and bring out a fully functional console that can handle long periods of gameplay. Gabe Newel already stated what a shotty system the 360 was in terms of there live feature so I would hope he new what he was doing after that being said.

Jumping shit sounds soo tempting considering it is VALVE, but for now my ps3 serves me well, however I think if Steamworks is properly integrated into the PS3, I would be in Gaming Heaven. If Valve can deliver I would jump ship, or at the very least buy the Valve console to rest next to my PS3 (PS4) at that time...Who knows what will come, Valve console can only be a good thing for me tho...

I Have gears of war... I mean its cool but im not really into it like that.. but it would be cool on PS.. I don't think it would sell over 5 Mill though for the fact that tekken was ported over to the xbox and flopped bad..I don't know how mass effect 2 sold on the ps3 but exclusives should stay on their on consoles because unless its a BIG GAME that shits on every other game that gets in its way as far as sells like Call of duty does.. it'll just be another title that gets ported over

But if you are a Shenmue fan and want to play a series which is very similar play the Yakuza series.

Gears on PS3: The trilogy will never make it to PS3. The franchise can though like how MGS is on 360 but not the entire franchise. But MS WILL NOT take this lightly.

Valve console: It will fail based on the sole fact that true Valve fans are on PC & that's how they operate best. 80% of PC gamers hate consoles. If any company is to release a new console, my money is on Google or Apple.

I can see VALVE coming out with something like Onlive. Where you get a small console with like one controller, and you stream the games instead of buying physical copies. As for if I would jump from a console to that? unless it is BEASTLY I'll go with no... Not "hating" or anything, but they aren't that amazing to me...

Would I be willing to buy the console? Depends on what it's offering & if I deem it good enough for me. If so then yes, like the PS3 I'd give it a go.

as fanboyish as it may sounds, I really like my PS purely due to the exclusives, I guess that's why I prefer it over the PS3 personally. Although the 360 has some absolutely fantastic exclusive games themselves, and there's no denial of that whatsoever. as much as I enjoy console gaming, I do agree PS3 would benefit from Steam on the PSN rather than Steam getting benefit from the PS3. As for Gears of War, good for Epic Games, I've played the series and thoroughly enjoyed them all.

No, well maybe... That would depend. Will it play any games? Will it play strategy games like a PC? A cheaper gaming PC console for the living room, maybe I would. But, I have never liked Valve games to the point at I would buy a console to play them. I'm more of a racing and strategy person so Valve doesnt "click" for me. No Forza or Gran Turismo wont make me buy a console. I would rather stay with my PC and my 360 for that reason. PC for pure strategy and 360 for the racing games.

@ZephyrnixLive Well.. I play most games on my 360 because I like using the gamepad more then keyboard and mouse for fps games for example. But, I play everything genre on my PC. But to the point, I wouldn't buy a Valve console due to the simple fact that I play mostly strategy on PC. I have a good PC, but yet I play most other games on console due to the controller. And yes I know you can use any controller on the PC.. I'm not ignorant, Im just watching it from my point of view.
