  • i got 10.57 in all ontario grade 8

  • @MRDJJOEYD hahahahahahaha YOU WISH MY FRIEND.

  • @SactosBomb123 i swear lol

  • i once ran a 10.89 too....backwards

  • oh cmon...tats so slow....i run a 10.94 and im a district 2nd

  • @mannydatpimp86 thats slow 10.89...the slowest person in state this year in 5a in new mexico was 10.44 we won with a 10.34 thats fast you boys down there are slow

  • @25Dleo AND..... you want me to take that information and do what with it.

  • yes so true distance does take more dedication ! but i sure as hell cant run that fast lol

  • @topalli40 um all of track takes dedication evenly

  • @ghglgh i realize this now, but like i knew sprinters at my school who would run maybe once or twice a week and they would qualify for districts or regions and some of the sprinters even smoked weed smh.. anyone can run 100 meters. all im saying is distance running takes more dedication because of the time and effort you have to put into it. i run everyday atleast 6 miles aday and i do sprints also. these guys couldnt go more than 400 meters if their life depended on it.

    thats all im saying

  • 10.89 State??? I went to a regional qualifier meet and a senior ran a 10.00!!

  • Even as a sprinter, i would have to say distance takes more guts. distance guys put in way more miles in training. Even though sprinters and milers can have heart, distance takes more dedication which makes it much more likely that the distance guys will love what they do.

  • @TheQuest2010 That's a tough call actually. I ran the quarter so to me that's somewhere in the middle of a sprint and a distance run (to me that is). It takes more heart to shave off .01 off of a sprint than it does to do it in a distance run. Once you get past the 200, nobody cares about tenths of seconds, because it's so easy. I think per racer, the difficulty is the same.

  • You won state with a 10.86?? I ran that as a freshman...You know what won 5a state in Texas last year? 10.08 Prezel Hardy as junior. So when you run a real time let me know.

  • @jugman123 Blah blah blah shut up, Prezel Hardy isn't exactly a common talent, more like the fastest junior in the world who ran that 10.08 with wind. Even Goodwin's silver, with his World TJ title doesn't represent represent the level of talent over there... Yeah, Texas is faster than Hawaii but don't belittle these kids' accomplishments (especially when Texas has 20x the population of Hawaii).

  • sorry but sprinting events are way more exciting than distance.... but that's just my opinion.... i have ran all distance events in track plus cross country when i was young, now in high school i am a full out sprinter (go figure) from the 100m - 400m and it takes a lot more heart and will to win for sprinters...... and distance to me was all just a mind game to keep going at a certain pace, plus strategy (which is boring to me)

  • hahahahaha

  • lol if you watch usain bolt's 9.58 right before this you just laugh at how slow it looks

  • SalvationASMD keep on workin hard coz i waz runnin 11.7 s last year as a freshman now im runnin 11.3s

  • i have 11:71 8th grade time =) im a freshman now

  • i ran a 14 in 8th grade wonder what i am now in 12th

  • that looks slow idk whyyyy

  • yes it does

  • Dan Rau video for 100m. State track meet for Michigan. 10.83 made him the fastest in the state.

  • thats pretty terrible. a guy on my team ran a 10.90 and he didn't even make it to the central coast sections. california just has higher comp

  • just because california has great competition doesnt mean every other state "sucks"

dont take credit for the state ou belong too. if you dont run 10.9 then dont trash talk guys way faster than u

  • Why did you put sucks in quotes?

  • because i was eferring to the way you define "sucks"

because some people think that 10.9 sucks. some think that 11.7 sucks. some think that 13 flat sucks. and some would work their butts off and have a great feeling of achievment to get a time that others may think "sucks"

  • the 100m is a weak race anyway. try running a 3000 see how that feels

  • more pointless trash talk becasue your jelous of others' success

and sprint training is every bit as hard as distance because interval training involves lactic acid build up and extreme intesity. also sprinters have to lift heavy weights every other day, includng heavy squats which are really difficult. and they have to be able to run some distance running

the 100m dash has power, percision, natural ability, and the thrill of blowing past the competition and burning all of the other runers

  • and distance runners jog for a long time

    hmmm... whats more exciting

and by the way,its much harder to be a great 100m runner. because everybody in almost every sport needs sprining speed. therefore they develope it, and if they are really fast, they join track. so really its the fastest person out of al sports, while distance runners are an exclusive group that suck at every other sport

  • distance runners don't jog, they run. So to me, a 5k is more exciting than a 10 second sprint. There's finesse, strategy and metal fortitude involved in distance running that a sprint race will never have.

  • fitst of all, there is nothing exciting about a brisk pace "run"

and i wish it was a 10 second run for me

everybody wants to be the fastest man in the world. not the best 5k runner. thats what athletes who are too skinny for football and too small for basketball do

and technique and skill isnt involved at all in distance races

and want to see real mental fortitude, then look no father than the 400. even the 200

  • I've run the 200m the 400m the 800m the 1500m the 1600m the 3200m and the 5000m. the 400m definitely did not carry a heavy mental weight on it... however the 5000m did. more distance = more mental. I think most people would agree with that statement

  • maybe more mental

but 400m= more intensity= more heart

and i bet everbody agrees with that

and the 400 isnt as hard for you because you are a distance runner. so you dont have the speed to push your endurance to the max

  • wow you are just full of contradictions: before you said to look no further than the 400m for mental fortitude, and now you are saying it's not as mental as distance events.. contradictions don't make for a solid stance in an argument. you have been outsmarted

  • not at all, your attention to detail has is obviously not your strong point

i the 400m dash isnt as mental, as in stratagy, but it requires more mental fortitiude, aka heart

  • Agreed.

  • Distance takes heart.

  • @BrezHurley the only reason they have distance running is so the sprinters can rest.

  • 3 in state for california 2006, 200m, 21.4

  • everyone claiming times should post their vids to prove it. I have vids under my name Jordan Canzeri, check them out, thanks.

  • lol damn him im 10.993

  • damn i run 10.9 too

  • cheeeeeeeeeehoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
