  • one of my favorite episodes

  • The faces of adults aren't ever shown so that kids are encouraged to use their imaginations, duh. That's old news! And as far as sexuality... some people are just determined to find something sexual no matter where they look. These cartoons were made long before the Muppets sold out to Disney!

  • @stephoreverable thanks- couldn't have said it better myself.

  • im 14, and i had this movie. i had to look it up and watch again :D

  • 5:38 - subliminal message?... I think not. Just in your face programming for children to learn sexuality @ a young age. I used to love this fucking show as a kid. Always wondered why I couldn't see the nannies face lol.

  • Unless Congress changes the US copyright laws, this will never be released on DVD uncut. If it this was released on DVD, this show would have to be censored heavily to comply with current copyright laws. The main issue is the use of news clips and other live action segments. Each segment needs to be cleared by it's rights owners to be put on a DVD.

  • Gonzo's nose as an eraser, LMFAO classic

  • Thank god I grew up in this era of awesome cartoons. This brings back so many memories

On a serious note: R.I.P. Barbara Billingsley (i was saddened upon hearing the news of hear death; but more joyful to know she was the voice of "Nanny")

  • @Squall1982 I didn't know that!

  • 7:47 - 7:50 Why does it sound like he's saying, "These fairy wings I'd like to fuck it." instead of "Forget?" XD

  • haha 1:21... he does?! haha

  • OMGoodness!! I remember watching this as a kid and then getting a notebook and trying to draw stick people that moved like that.

  • what does Nanny look like?

  • @tiffstarshining You know what? I used to wonder the same thing!

  • I like the part at 3:01-3:08 where Animal scribbles on the paper then eats it.

  • @gatewayeast1609 haha I know, he eats everything

  • @gatewayeast1609 lmao, Hey Animal was played by Dave Coulier, Uncle Joey from Full House.

  • They dont make cartoons like these anymore. Just Classic!

So much crap on tv today. so glad i grew up with these cartoons.

  • CLASSIC!!!

    Waka Waka Waka!!

  • Comment removed

  • in 23 years old and i remember this cartoon i watch this cartoon when i was little plus what year did they make this cartoon

  • Gonzo, Jimney is a cricket, not a grasshopper. And Kermit is playing that role, just like Piggy is playing Pinnochio's role and you're playing The Blue Fairy.

  • Ironic isn't it that the "real" Muppets "made" Muppet Babies and the Babies themselves--who are cartoons--are making animation? XD

  • IF I KNEW HOW TO I WOULD

  • lol little kermit

  • XD i remember this episode!

  • Can any1 tell me why piggy keeps bullying Gonzo by honking his nose. bit violent don't ya think?

  • True... but it's funny!

  • @DAK115: Meh. Muppet violence is acceptable, because they do it for comedy. It's like Warner Brothers using cannons, anvils, and mallets.

  • Jim Henson did not want anybody to see Nanny's head, so everybody could decide for themselves what she looked like.

  • 0:12 THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1925)

That scene in the opening scared me when I was a kid.

  • They showed the Phantom of the Opera in a couple other episodes, too, including "Muppet Land" and "The House That Muppets Built"

  • nanny can't dress -=/ L0L.

  • we never see nanny's head because jim henson wanted whoever watched this shw to be on the same level as the babies. don't you remember when you were small & everyone look like giants?

  • Scooter was originally a symbol of efficiency and nepotism. Now look at him.

  • why was it that they never showed the nanny's whole body like her head

  • Nanny has everything. lol. She just happens to have everything at the exact same time the mb want it. She rules. lol. Can we say MB and dvd release in the same sentence.

  • no dvd in the works, all the info i have seen is that all the movie clips they use are hindering the release

  • Sure. I wish Muppet Babies was available for DVD release. Recently, a few episodes were made available, in uncut form, as bonus DVDs with Muppet Babies plush toys.

Most of the content was from either Fox or Paramount (I think).

  • @oconnorcd Sure. There's no chance the MB are getting a DVD release.

  • @MrLogoman007

The only POSSIBLE chance is if they went back and trimmed out the stock footage, but that's like going back through Family Guy episodes and editing out all the cut-away jokes. No point.

  • @MrLogoman007 - It seems unlikely, but never say never, especially if you ask Shout Factory (they're bringing Jem back to DVD!)

  • OMG this use to be my fav when i was a kid.

  • Aww.. Animal is soo cute!

  • Wow -- I still remember when computer printer paper looked like that!

Today; Scooter would have a Mac or Windows Vista, a Wacom tablet, and a color printer... ^_~

  • Nah. Today, Scooter would have Windows Vista, one of those tablet PCs, a digital color printer, and a digital camera.

  • Not even Fozzie's own flip book likes him.

  • He has low self esteem, and his drawings show it.

  • if gonzo can draw that....

  • Piggy's flipbook was cute

  • omg this show brings back so many memories

  • OmegaX2000 (4 months ago) Now this is the version of that theme song I've been looking for.

OmegaX2000: How come they don't have the whole song?

livinlarge18 (4 months ago)This is from 1989 reruns where they had shortened the intro however the intro uncut was heard in the UK

livinlarge18 (3 months ago)The 1990-1999 intro was the best they should update the intro if the show comes back with Indiana Frog.

Thanks for the information. And I agree with you about Indiana Frog.

  • omg i used to watch this all the time!!!! i loved it

  • me to lol

  • In the first two seasons of this show Howie didn't change his charaters voices thats why Dave s my hero!

  • "Something tells me I oughta give up comedy and go into the tomatoe sauce business." lol

  • I actualy like the whole cast singing the opening theme-they sound great!!

  • Fozzie would be better at making pizza then working at a tomato sauce business

  • Oh No another Howie Mandel episode with the crappy Toei Animation

  • At least Toei's animation got better in the third season

  • that's true but it did look really crappy in Seasons 1-2 I bet they changed it cause of Howie Mandel being fired

  • Now this is the version of that theme song I've been looking for.

  • How come they don't have the whole song?

  • This is from 1989 reruns where they had shortened the intro however the intro uncut was heard in the UK

  • The 1990-1999 intro was the best they should update the intro if the show comes back with Indiana Frog

  • I have always loved that groovy music at 2:29-2:55!

That same groovy music can also be heard when Gonzo shows Kermit his "round the world" ball during "What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?"

  • As a side note, who is singing the opening theme?

I often think it's the gang, or each of the babies.

  • The whole cast and some other singiers sing the non middle verses with an non singing part by Nanny

  • This is the tricky part which a person may not know:

Who is singing the very last line of the theme song that goes:

    "Dreams can come true!"

    Definately sounds like a lady!

    Definately not Nanny.

Nanny does the "is everything alright in here"

  • @happy7117 My money's on Laurie O'Brian.

  • I also notice that Nanny's voice sounds different from Season 2 on.

In Season 1, everyone sounds "deeper"

  • God i rember this one . it was on a lot durning 1991-1995. it wasmy number one favrite.

  • I remeber seeing it on TV on Nickelodeon but I wasn't born when CBS ran the show

  • Heh heh Pignocchio slapped Jeremy Kermit LOL !!!!!!!!!!

  • I made a mistake Rowlf's voice is more soft starting from Season 2 not Season 3

  • When I was in grade school, I used to make clip books with notepad paper all the time. My teacher gave them to me everyday.

  • That's the same camera from Gonzo's Video Show

  • Actually it isn't. The one that Gonzo was using was rented by Nanny.

  • It looks like the same one

  • The camera in "Gonzo's Video Show" was most likely VHS, and the camera in this uses 8mm movie film. See the differences?

  • Hey wiley207 which Skeeter is more girlish Howie's Skeeter or Frank's Skeeter? Frankly Frank's Skeeter is my favortie

  • Definitely Frank Welker's Skeeter. Much better than the crappy female voices I heard him do on the 1970s "Heckle and Jeckle" cartoons

  • Me too Frank Wleker's Skeeter sounds like Bonsly and Sudowoodo

  • Which Rowlf voice do you like Season 1 or Season 2-7 I like Season 2-7 he sounds much more cuter

  • Season 2-7. Rowlf sounds better there.

  • Which Gonzo is more babyish Season 1 or Season 2-7 ? I like Season 2-7 cause Gonzo sounds more like Huey,Dewy and Louie

  • Yeah, I like the Season 2-7 Gonzo voice better, too. It sounds cuter.

  • Have you seen my profile picture ?

  • Yes, it's of Richard Hunt

  • I put it up so that everyone could see it because I got so bored of seeing that stupid camera as my icon and its sort of tribute to Mr. Hunt

  • I know I downloaded it from muppetwiki its the oicture w/ the caption "talk like this"

  • Not anymore its of Beaker

  • I saw, nice

  • He's my favorite next to Kermit the Frog cause they both were pitched a little higher when Steve Whitmire took over as their preformer

  • Rowlf is so talented

  • or.... is it 11 20ish never mind move your butt blue fairy. Love the muppets!

  • fairy gonzo said he has a date and midnight and they had better hurry. The background clock reads about five to seven.... why the Rush gonzo?

  • Animal was the best Muppet ever! On this show and the original "Muppet Show" I thought that him sloshing paint in his face and planting his face on the paper was absolutely hilarious when I was a kid, and I still do. I love this show!

  • i totally agree! i love his humor!

  • Recorded from syndication

  • This episode was well crafted.

  • At 1:22, Skeeter says, "Scooter's football player moves when you turn the pages".

    Scooter says "They do??"

A minute later, Rowlf says "That looks like one of those cartoon flip books"

Scooter says, "I drew it that way on purpose"

My question is, If Scooter purposely drew his cartoon to move as a flipbook does, shouldn't he had known that the cartoon moves as you turn the pages instead of replying "They do?" to Sceeter's comment about the pictures moving?

  • It's a joke. He lied and said he drew them that wy on purpose to impress the others.

  • WHAT A LYING SON OF A BITCH

  • This reminds me of the Ren and Stimpy episode "Stimpy's Cartoon Show."

  • @wiley207: Except this came first. XD

  • Wow. I've never seen this cartoon before. Gonzo sounds like Widget.

  • Russi Taylor, same voice actor

  • I love Rolf's flip book-it's ingenious!Also Gonzo's nose makes a good eraser!

Also has anyone else noticed that Gonzo plays the fairy in most fairy tale sequences? XD!

  • Who knew one could make music animation to the turning of pages of a book??!!

  • Skeeter and Animal sound weird

  • I take it you're not really into Howie Mandel on Muppet Babies.

  • Well no Howie Mandel's voice is more grave then Dave and Frank's

  • 1st to view this clip! I LOVE MUPPET BABIES!!!!!
