it's a 7.3. if it was the 6.0 you would hear a good turbo whistle with it idling like it is. but theres no whistle... sounds just like my 7.3

just so ya know that is an older model with a 7.3 look at the grill the bottom bar is cut off quite a bit he just swapped grills and headlights if that was a newer truck it would have a thicker bar on the bottom

I have a 2000 powerstroke 7.3, edge modified and what I did to the exhaust was simply take out the muffler and put in a straight piece of pipe . Best and cheapest exhaust mod I ever did . I dont tow so it doesnt get that noisey till I bury my foot .

that grille comes stock from i beleave 2005-2007 then they came out with the new 08's

before i had to start out in a towing gear which is extremely low and i got about 15 highway 12 city then i put the chip intake exaust on and can start out any where up to third gear and i get cooler engine temps and about 21/22 highway and 17/18 city. still runnin strong over 130 k

its a turbo back with an mbrp muffler. not much to the muffler but it gives it a deeper tone.

what website did you find that grille on? I have looked everywhere and I cant find one...it is the 05 style right?

Yeah the grille was a good find. It was off of ebay. i typed in ford 1999 and just kinda scrolled through the output and there were headlights, etc that fit 1999 and thats where i found the grille.

Sweet truck, Like the upgraded grill on the 99'. One thing i advise is get a different air intake system. The k&n is not known to be good with diesels. Lets alot of dust and dirt through which can ruin your turbo and is not good for your engine. If you want better shifting and longer trans life check out a Valve Body($225). (Brians Truck stop or John Wood)...all in all - sweet truck! love the 7.3
