Marklazio11, i have never been to one of these events, im a fairly new airsofter, only been playing for about a year and a half. i sure would like to attend one of these events someday, i serve in the u.s army, as a combat engineer, the military is professional, and ALL military branches harp on safety during ANY training excerises, and i know a lot of military and EX military run this sight, and they are safe, ontop of that there is a reason behind waivers.
It is proven that Paintball is a safer sport than volleyball, softball, and wrestling combined. i use to work at a field and we would get the question: "Is paintball safe?" and thats what we told them. you can only get injured IF: 1.) you are ignorant 2.) have physical deficiency (i.e cant run/jump) 3.) dont have common sense.
Scenario paintball is played simular to that of Milsim airsoft.
If you wear the proper safety gear i.e shatter proof goggles , gloves long sleeve, hat or face mask and carry something to hydrate with even in cold weather you can avoid alot of injurys. Then again there are people who will walk up to the chrono station with a weaker spring gearbox or w.e inside there gun get it chrono'd then go back to there vehicle and swap parts out and make there weapon a 450-500 fps shooting weapon.

@marklazio11 um. Ive seen adults loose teeth in softball, ice hockey, karate, etc. Those sports arent banned. There are people that are cut out for these kind of sports and there are those that arent. Problems only pop up when the softer folks start infiltrating those sports so the solution is to disuade them and/or teach them. The dozens of times Ive seen such things in sports personally noone was ever sued or sued anyone else.
airsoft is banned and illegal in manny cities counties and countries because of this exact problem.i speak from my own experiance..mabe you should too.

The reason it is being banned in towns is because dumbass kids bring them out in public and in the streets, so people get scared and they ban it. Those kids are who are ruining the sport of airsoft. These guys arent wearing mouth protection because masks are too hot or cumbersome for their conditions.

I have personaly seen probably 3 people have a tooth shot out. I have seen a person squeeze a BB out of a bloody bump in their skin. With all that heat exhaustion/dehydration is WAY more common than anything the BBs do.

This is a MilSim (Military Simulation) and idk how long it is, some of them are 6 days. i heard the cost to go to an Op: Irene is somewhere in the ballpark of 200$, this isnt your friends, and a few buddies playin in the backyard, this is bigleague shiz.
I have a G&G M4 and it is a great gun. Full metal, shooting around 350FPS and is hitting at about 120-130 feet. I know the Echo1 SCAR is cheap ($210 and full metal) and shoots about 400FPS, and gets a little better range then my G&G because of the FPS. Keep in mind that a lot of fields have a 400FPS for AEG's and the Echo1 might be at risk of going over that. C.O.

Airsoft is a great exp. As a Soldier in the US army i do recommend it to people who dont think service is for them. Good exercise and having great fun with friends. I thought i was in Iraq again.

Has anyone had any problem with their Classic Army G3 rifle's gearbox, I think mine was milled improperly and it jams after one shot. If some one could advise if they have had similar problems, please let me know! Great video by the way, airsoft is the way to go!

yes but I believe there were a very limited number of snipers. Only a few per side (150 players a side) and they are screened and selected by the commanding officers - not just anyone can show up to be a sniper.

This is the most serious/intense airsoft event in America. War veterans, law enforcers, or SERIOUS teams go here.

Quit bitching and turn 18 already! lol...I see where they're coming from though, if you injure yourself they don't want any lawsuits or anything...there's just certain things you can't do at certain ages and we all had to deal with it, I couldn't drink at a bar (w/ some exceptions :P) before I turned 21...like hammerchop said, SUCKS FOR YOU! lol

Was this a regular airsoft event (any mags you want ETC.) or Mil-Sim (real mag capacities, normally 30 rds or under), thanks!

it was milsim. Irene 3 allowed hicaps but 4 and 5 were mid and standards only.

Airsoft is a great exp. As a Soldier in the US army i do recommend it to people who dont think service is for them. Good exercise and having great fun with friends. I thought i was in Iraq again.

ya ive owned every brand of AEG and i know from personel experince that CA are overprised pieces of crap, they just cant take a whole lot useage, their internals give after 'bout 4 months, buy a ICS or ECHO/JG

Has anyone had any problem with their Classic Army G3 rifle's gearbox, I think mine was milled improperly and it jams after one shot. If some one could advise if they have had similar problems, please let me know! Great video by the way, airsoft is the way to go!

yes but I believe there were a very limited number of snipers. Only a few per side (150 players a side) and they are screened and selected by the commanding officers - not just anyone can show up to be a sniper.
