  • can you say rob dyrdeck?

  • Oh...missed it by \ / that much.

  • lol, is that a tickford turbo one, no wonder theres hardly any left.

  • "It requres balls of solid steel"

    hahahahahahaaha

  • They should have used Rob Dyrdek

  • holy shit that guy have some balls :O

  • I wanted to listen to the maths part :(

  • this isn't so difficult at dirt 3...

  • Actually, the only part that was really bad was the landing, because the rear went in first. Weight balance all that, and they could actually have gotten pretty close.

  • simple classical physics. projectile motion. Just add drag coefficient.

  • what a fitting number plate!!

  • There is a videogame called 'Stuntman' and a sequel 'Stuntman ignition'. To be honest, the games arent good. What they do is parody a lot of films (james bond, indiana jones, dukes of hazard) and stunts from those movies, including this one. As said, the game is far from great, but doing and creating the stunts is a lot of fun.

  • the maestro was one and probably the only car made by BL that was liked by Which?

  • DID THEY REALLY DO IT WITH A GUY INSIDE?!?!!?

  • @TD4f22 no it was fake

  • @moham7ad i think not

  • Damn and I thought he was going to use an Enzo.... Clearly the mock up was what screwed it all up

  • 3:20

I love how he just watches the car eat shit and is just like... hmm, and turns around. XD

  • balls.... from steal

  • he NEARLY had it!!! Perhaps if he braked in mid-air, it would have shifted the weight forward a hair, bringing the front down a bit sooner instead of tail-dragging like it did

  • @tsherwoodrzero lol breaking in mid-air does nothing

  • @Mud69Pie yes it does

  • @Mud69Pie of course it does.

the sudden stop of the rotating wheels will lean the car more to the front.

only slight and slow (wouldnt have helped anything here) but it does work.

  • Number plate says NOB

  • Hahaha I can't believe he crashed !

  • ouch!!!!

  • Was I the only person that didn't want the stunt to be done with that maestro?

  • gotta love roll cages

  • skip to 3 mins to miss bullshit

  • Was I the only one disappointed when he skipped the math part?

  • @blaggosphere yes :D

  • @Wenevana If you look at their plates, they always have something suiting on them. Audi TT has TT on it. That's the best I can think of.

  • lmao. stuntman just chillin there eating a sammich like LIKE A BOSS!

  • Well, it did flip but the landing was all wrong.

  • thought I'd seen all top gear, when was this plz?

  • thumbs up if you actually want to hear one of James May's incredibly long rants

  • and they cut out the part that explains why this is possible...

  • poor maestro paid the ultimate price for having upside down tailights

  • what episode is this?

  • haha it actually almost worked, except the front end of the car was too high up.lol

  • @corey788237 oh, gee, thnx 4 ruining it

  • @Tiger8566 glad i could oblige xD

  • Epic Fail at it's finest

  • The revlimiter atleast works

  • the only problem is that he didnt land right

  • If he didnt have a roll cage.....

  • see the Americans are sometimes right

  • I wish James May was my physics teacher.

  • This is good television

  • if it required balls of solid steel, why didn't they call duke nukem?

  • It was very close, in fairness...

  • i have one of those Enzos too lol

  • i know someone fit for that job chuck norris....

  • This is looking good... BROOOOM crash

  • FACK

i forgot to carry the one

  • That was amazingly close.

  • balls of solid steel

  • my uncle that had diabetes and he died in 1998, he had to be the best driver in NY state, he could take his 1970 gto going 80 mph and do a 360 in the car and bring it right back under control, he took his road runner, someone bet him 50 bucks he couldnt go 15 miles without going under 100, and he did it, scared the shit out of everyone

  • LOL at the number plate " nob"

  • simply he went a little bit more speedy, it can be corrected either to redo the calculations , or to have a more shock adsorbant landing cuz if u noticed the left rear wheel landed first , it should be taken in consideration , the reaction to the impact ., but lol, i don't think the stuntman is going to redo it :D

  • Spot On!!

  • H955 NOB

    :)

  • why isnt james a rocket scientist?

  • it requires balls of solid steel

  • Duke Nukem has balls of steel.

  • this is kinda off topic, but i bet james may smokes so much pot.

  • very close!!

  • This is a prime example of why engineers fail.

  • @bassblair11 .. and you'd know... What about engineering..?

  • @xPyroxx I'm actually a mechanical engineering technician, so I have a good understanding of engineering. However, I am a tradesman, so I am constantly fixing engineering mistakes. It's quite annoying spending months on end correcting a simple math mistake or whatever the problem was. Engineers are great, don't get me wrong, but they aren't "all that and a bag of potato chips"

  • @bassblair11 So where did James get the maths wrong in your opinion.

  • @xPyroxx Well they skipped a lot of the calculus, so it is extremely hard to form an opinion on that subject. I was saying that as a generality...more poking fun at engineers than anything.

  • So, it was supposed to stop spinning after 1 turn?

  • hold space for slow moooo :D

  • who was staring at his hair the whole time....... or is that just me?

  • nice ferrari enzo toy car

  • @YaSmInEakaBoBiKuS I have that. Shell was selling Ferrari toy cars if you pumped a certain amount of petrol.

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!

  • the stig without helmet

  • Why didnt they have a couple more cars to try again?

  • That stunt man didn't even flinch from 3:39 to 3:45. Badassery...

  • thats a maxwell smart moment right there

  • im pretty sure people have done this befor (not hollywood people)

  • if he would have put the brakes on in mid air the nose would have been a bit lower and he might have made it. still pretty bad ass though!

  • haha bentwaters

  • I thought it was possible just in games

  • SPOILER ALERT

    3:57

  • ite the cog .... u didnt account for it causing a change in pitch ...

  • These guys have the best job on the world

  • Comment removed

  • close though

  • i like the replays

  • ohhh, my MG (i have it too :D)

  • hey, i have that enzo too!!!

  • he was very close to making it

  • so F!@King close

  • Needs slide whistle effect

  • 1:14 - This is Cheese and Ham ??

  • As soon as May announced that he was doing the math, I thought this can only go well.

  • lmao the math at 2:30 is exactly the kind of rubbish i did in my undergrad engineering classes. nasty.

  • Top Gear Stunt Man forgot to press Z or R twice.

  • and this is very complicated for 2 resones first it ricriers balls of sollid steel lol

  • @MrLauritsabel *requires

  • @mattym129 ups XD

  • Well.......James.........The americans TOLD you it was not easy !

  • That was pretty bloody awesome

  • hi 5 nob

  • This is what happens if you drive harder then you're allowed too..

  • what season is this?

  • @thepunisheruae its season 11 :) Episode 2 i think

  • whybdidn they try again with another car?

  • really wanted to see the explanation by james! why did they cut it!

  • If it was the Stig, they would have succeeded.

  • In Golden Gun, they did it on the first try.

  • This is what you get when you trust to math.

  • BALLS OF STEEL

  • why did they cut out james's explanation of how to calculate the spin, I want to hear it >.<

  • @PureInsanityGamers I know. I did too.

  • @PureInsanityGamers They cut it out as a joke....meaning James is boring

  • @PureInsanityGamers i think because it was too long:(

  • @PureInsanityGamers They dont want kids to TRY THIS AT HOME

  • "fuck u James may!" is all thats going through the stuntmans mind as he jumps the ramp

  • that's a T-hunt enzo!!!!

  • balls of steel hahaah:D

  • almost ;)

  • FUCK physics :(

  • it needs balls of super steel

  • shoot the tentacles to open the core

  • @simonmitchellbird

    dude, play less games

  • Well.... He didn't land on his wheels but he did a barrel roll! :D XD

  • @DeltaPhi79 Gotta give him credit for that.

  • @DeltaPhi79 No he did not. It's a shame how nobody knows what a barrel roll really is.

  • that would of worked but the wheel dug into the ground when it landed lol

  • although it crashed like a sack of sh*t, while it was in the air it did do a full 360 barrel roll (watch it again. pause play pause play ) so i would say it was a success

  • Balls of solid steel haha

  • Bloody hell almost did it

  • I love how James looks back at the chalk board. "Ah, forgot to carry the one" lol. It was pretty close though!

  • lol at the cars registration H. NOB

  • he forgot to push the carry the 1 button on his calculator

  • Lol! Couldn't they just test it with a scale model!?

  • Bangkok Johnny

    Kingdom of Thailand

  • lol it requires balls of solid steel lol

  • never saw this on tv

  • Being Mother Beebe, they leave out a similar jump in Smoky & the Bandit 1.

  • 5 people crashed into the stunt drivers pension rented van

  • "It requires Balls Of Solid Steel" Lol

  • it is indeed the fault of the stunt driver

he should haf got its foot of the throttle.

    colin explains

    vid name

WRC - Colin McRae - Jump Lessons

  • I love how James turns to the chalkboard right after the crash.

  • I want that Enzo toy car.

  • that was awsome!!

  • explaining that one to the insurance company will be tricky

  • the throttle stuck open

  • that was close

  • Hahaha toy enzo FTW!

  • Every time u try some thing again it is differen, so if u did it again it would be posible to make it!

    Soo close!

  • lmao i do this in GTA :D

  • the back was to heavy...

  • for some reason i had to laugh when the car hit the other side of the ramp and started flying about.

  • wrong sig figs Mr. May?

  • needed a heavier front end, and less of a pitch in the ramp.

  • I wanted to hear James's maths!

  • Comment removed

  • First, it requires balls of solid steel. hahaha

  • man

    HE WAS SOOOOOO CLOSE!!!!

  • anyone else notice the license plate says nob? :o

  • well done boys wot like to see the stig do it at some point

  • even though they failed, THAT WAS SPECTACULAR !!!!! i'd laugh so hard if this happened in the bond film

  • Geez, that's the best and the worst job in the world

  • they should have added extra weight to the front of the car

  • I guess this is what happens when you try to do a Reliable Wheel Drive car's stunt with a Fail Wheel Drive car.

  • Thank God for the HANS Device.

  • did top gear stuntman get fired or killed? never did like him, he was just rubbish

  • whiplash

  • I was actually paying attention to Professor Slow and his calculations.

  • cool stuff

  • i rekon he put the landing ramps slope the rwong wy instead of stopping roation it still promoted it on the landing/ silly james
