Libya doesn't have one permanent river, no forests, but yes - compared to other african countries they are wealthy. But I prefer a beautiful river near a meadow and a forest.
Libya has some very nice desert landscapes and bet tripoli is nice, but to say its one of the most beutiful counties in the world, I would disagree. I'm from Northern Pakistan and have to say its way better in terms of natural beauty. Beautiful mountains and valleys, crystal clear lakes, lovely countryside, deserts, beautiful mughal architecture, a rich culture. Politics aside and economics aside, I would prefer pakistan anyday.
Libya is GREAT. I was there for two weeks in 2006 and absolutely loved it -- from Jalu to Ghadames to Tripoli. Well...the plastic bags around Tripoli could be gone, of course.
I was born also in libya and i in "elgala2 hospital" in tripoli and i was in school there but i left it from seven years,(now i am in egypt), i like libya very much ,and the past 10 days my brother return from there and he snaped some pictures and videos there ,i will try to add it on youtube as soon as posible or i will make a website containing the videos and pictures of beautiful libya,and i think i will make a website called libyalover
Thats great! are u libyan? I am pakistani. my mom was a nurse in al-marj. she loved her job but she had to move to canada cus she wanted us to have a better education. I remember when i was in libya i use to see camelions in bushes or trees, we also saw turtotoises(turtles) and amazing small butterflies. It was a wonderful place very exotic. I havent been there for 17 yrs I would like to go back someday.tell me more abt urself. how old r u? im 27.

no i went to an english school in almarj. i dont have any pics which i really regret. there was a very beautiful mosque in Almarj. i dont even know the name. I have one pic of it but its in canada im in korea :( did u see any amazing animals in libya? i miss libya
i went to forests "gidayem"i tis near tripoli and ancient city "Sabrata" but unfortunatley i did not met animals,i also miss libya very very much.Unfortunately the website that i was going to make will be late cause my internet access in my home e is down and i am sending this post from work..DO u remember "Grendizer" which usually comes in libyan television?
