No, Katniss does not wear makeup. Yeah, we all know that. BUT, Cinna and her prep team both put makeup on her. This isn't supposed to make you look like Katniss, it's supposed to be *inspired* by her. And, as the girl on fire and the "Spark that, left unattended, could grow into an inferno that destroys Panem," this makeup is quite appropriate.

I think everyone's getting confused! I think the look Shelby (is that's your name, @shelbyxbaybee?) was referring was the interview because YES she had makeup (page 128, chapter 9; "...draw my features back out. Huge dark eyes, full red lips, lashes that throw off bits of light..."). Obviously, Shelby wasn't going for the exact look (she said so) but what SHE though Katniss' makeup should look like. I love Katniss, and I love this tutorial! PS. Before anyone tells me I'm obsessed...I know. ;)

this is kinda picky but... in the opening cerimony, she's not wearing a dress. Her and Peeta are wearing black unitards with flaming capes. Sorry, that bugged me. :)

@shelbyxbaybee it's just kind of ironic because katniss is so against materialism and stuff like makeup and everything (she detests having makeup put on her and getting all made up). materialism is represented in makeup and makeup is very characteristic of the people in the higher up districts, who basically create all of the problems for her; SO she hates them and also makeup. lol. i love makeup and wear it all the time, and i know katniss is fictional, just explaining why they said that.

What I meant is a lot of them are really subtle and neutral with a bold lip color, which isn't a bad thing. I prefer it. This one, yes, was different than a lot of your other looks.
