I thought it was a good movie. First horror movie I have seen in a WHILE (I hate horror movies), and although I wouldn't watch it again (because I hate horror movies), I believe it was reasonably successful in it's building in suspense and gore. Not for the harcdore gore chasers, but good for someone looking for a good horror movie.
I thought Quarantine was dope as fuck. Any movie where you can imagine yourself in the situation the characters are in and think how fucked up that would be is great. neato

Little tidbits like "how the infection started" isn't enough to degrade the whole movie for me. I think Quarantine went for a more realistic tone using a virus as the cause of infection whereas REC uses demonic possesion as its foundation. Its more about preferal taste more than anything.

I didn't get any "IRL Feeling" from watching this. It feels like they actually have a whole crew behind that camera, like in real movies. In Rec, it really feels like there's a person holding the camera.

Two things - 1) in the beginning, a person needs medical attention as he was bitten, they go to the door, but it's locked. The doors are practically glass and the FIRE FIGHTERS, who are supposed to clear exits, don't even try to smash them.
and 2) The ending. The camera man turns on the night vision and keeps recording the reporter instead of the infected. AHHHH so fucking stupid!!! I couldn't believe how stupid this film was.

I watched Rec at 3am in the Seattle airport. Made it a bit scarier. I didn't even know the movie Quarantine existed until last night, after describing Rec to a friend. I'm so glad I saw Rec and had no clue this existed, otherwise the whole thing would've been ruined for me...

I didn't get any "IRL Feeling" from watching this. It feels like they actually have a whole crew behind that camera, like in real movies. In Rec, it really feels like there's a person holding the camera.

the movie-makers forgot the difference between a descent remake and a cheap rip off...Rec was far better than this in every way..thats why i hate Hollywood horror, they always ruin it with over acting and unnecessary special effects.

i saw this movie with japanese voice over and yeea the emotions were better in japanese than english...in english it sounds a bit odd however this movie is pretty cool, not scary.... but it is very funny too

@AdisWalker Because the companies that make these films are based in America, for example Hollywood. Now why would an American made film use Spanish as the language for the film? The location of the film has nothing to do with personal preference, for example if the story line behind the film is set in London, why use Barcelona? There are plenty of spanish films but they just aren't as popular as American and British films.

SPOILERS
Two things - 1) in the beginning, a person needs medical attention as he was bitten, they go to the door, but it's locked. The doors are practically glass and the FIRE FIGHTERS, who are supposed to clear exits, don't even try to smash them.
and 2) The ending. The camera man turns on the night vision and keeps recording the reporter instead of the infected. AHHHH so fucking stupid!!! I couldn't believe how stupid this film was.
