I was never really a fan of the potion spam model. It's like the entire game is balanced not around how much damage you can take without dying, but how much damage you can recover while constantly chugging a health potion.  Same with mana potions and mana costs. And this is a gripe I had with the diablo games as well, but I'd much rather seem potions as an emergency use only item, instead of something your character is useless without

Awesome videos, been watching religously since you first started doing D3 videos. These PoE videos are by far the bast ones available anywhere of the Beta (1080 goodness) So thank you for making these! Hey Force, your gloves only have 2 linked gems... the top 2 are the only linked ones so you have to pick 1 of them to link with your crit... the other can just be it's usual self in the bottom socket. Yes there are higher level items that can have 4, 5 or even 6 slots ALL linked together but they are joined by that little line you can see..

Also, Force - The augment gem for the +spell crit looks like it needs to be in the slot that is LINKED to the slot containing the spell you want to augment. (Meaning while it is in an unconnected slot it isn't doing anything at all)

Force - It almost looks to me like the spells have a small delay while you cast them (like the cast animation or something). Combine that with how fast you move the mouse around to maneuver.... It almost looks to me like the spell is casting at the current mouse location instead of the initial click location. Could be wrong though.

I have level 45 Marauders and play this game alot!! This game cant not comparing with diablo games that is for sure.. path of exile may look like diablo1 /2 but the gameplay is far far away! path of exile is very boring game in the end. Sorry GGG team that is the true about this small game. You have to improve this game with alot more stuff becase cant play this anymore.. To boring monsters and the acts is a joke in length..

Even the devs themselves (who are VERY active on the forums) have said this is a very very early closed beta that it's almost like a final stage Alpha really. It's not like a Blizzard beta where the game is mostly finished, this team of 15 guys YES THATS 15 guys who are making this game are getting real gamers into the beta to get ideas to make the game

Bad targeting could be influenced by server lag handling. For example you point in specific map location to fire a spell but in real your character is in different place so spell will fly from that real location to where you pointed.

Would this game be as attractive if everything was space invader-style single-color groups of pixels? I think the skill modifying gem needs to be placed in a "connecting socket." The sockets need to be connected in order for the spell to get the bonus.

Check out the 3rd picture (sword) on the path of exile skills page for an example.

@fusioncobra Yep, Force, this guy's right, just read it awhile ago. Didn't look like you had any connecting sockets in any of yer stuff yet, but in items that have them, there's lines between the sockets (on the picture mentioned).

Just Google Path of Exile and go to their site, and the FAQ answers pretty much all the questions you might have. This game looks good, and I think I'll probably be playing it when it comes out. I'd sooner not play the beta, as I dun want to get used to things which might change. =^[.]^=

It's been comfirmed that all the items in the cash shop are vanity. Things like cloaks and different spell effects will be for sale. Chris Wilson has stated on Diablopodcast #30 that you will not get a game play advantage from the cash shop.

Hey, just wanted to let you know you augmented your spells wrong at the end of the video. If you look at the gloves, two of the three blue gem slots are connected by a rod. You put one spell gem in one of the slots that has a connection, and the +crit gem into the other. The third blue slot is not affected by the +crit gem.

Your not augmenting your skills like that, look for the linked image sockets. First put the augment skill then your skill that you wish boosted. Your gloves look like this: (augment gem) ---->( skill gem) (seperate gem)
