Videos like this are pointless. Why? Because youtube could care less about what its users that make the site possible have to say. It's obvious the majority of us hate it, so either they don't read their feedback, or just ignore it. I think there should be a way to contact youtube with feedback and ideas, if 90% of people dislike a new feature, why keep it? Youtube has been slowly going down hill, but the hill's getting steeper!
I have tried the new channel design and layout, and it is absolutely rubbish. You can't see everything on your new You Tube channel. On your old You Tube channel you can see all of your activitys.

The profile picture thumbnails are not working on any of the Old channel designs, including my own.. They do work on the new channel design though...It won't be fixed. Youtube is probably doing it as an incentive to get people to update to the new crappy channel design early.

Concering YouTube's recent deletion of a few hundred subscribers or more depending how many deleted channels you had as subscribers I think they enjoy thinking of new ways just to ANNOY us. If the new channel designs are meant to reflect the shift towards smaller devices, and smaller screens, then why doesn't Youtube just say it? Why keep people in the dark on the reasons why?

I read somewhere there is a Times magazine aritcle that said Youtube execs are changing to the new design because they did a study that said the new design increases the number of views on people videos by 2%. (I don't see how. I have kind of lost incentive to visit peoples boring channels in the first place, so how am I goin to click on any of their videos)
You guys just dont get it.Facebook was hijacked too so it would be more google app compatible.The google app thing was Steve Jobs screwing us.He invented those dam "I" devices and wanted them to go online but sites like yt always crashed them because they were so big.So a deal was made and google got paid to downsize everything. Gmail was changed, google search engine was changed and then YT.Its also why they chose anti glare grey because people with I devices are out and about.For PCs IT SUX!
You may have some points there. The rise of the mobile devices is sure an incentive to change things. That anti-glare gray thing you said doesn't make any sense to me, because people can view full vibrant color photos on their mobile devices.

@LloydCello My account name is based upon the Kung Fu flick 5 Deadly Venoms character who is known as Toad for his "Toad style Kung Fu". In the movie, Toad style Kung Fu has inpervious defenses on the body appart from 1 weak spot. His enemies found his weak spot to be the ears. Ironically, b4 I even read about it my friend said that YT was changing all accounts. Toad style was defeated by physical touch of the ears, toadstyle101 will go by verbal defeat, hearing my account won't be mine anymore.

Google doesn't want people to discover new channels by allowing people to click on someones subscriptions list on their channel. They want people to discover new channels with their own recommendation list on the youtube home page. So what do they do? They eliminate the subscriptions list.
Google doesn't want people to create awesome attractive channels, where every channel is different, and interesting, with big about me sections in plain view. They wan't people to create GOOGLE+ accounts and for people to find out about someone through that service. So what do they do? They shrink the aboutme sections, make it not in plain view so you have to click on the more button. And they make all the channels have the same boring look.
Google doesn't want people to talk to each other through channel comments. They want people to talk to each other with GOOGLE+ accounts. So what do they do? They hide the channel comments, cut them off, and shrink the profile pictures attached to the channel comments.
Google doesn't want people to find new vids from other peoples favorite lists on thier channels. They can't control that. They want people to see their vid list on the right. So what do they do? They hide that favorite list so it's not in plain view when you go to someones channel.
I am never using GOOGLE+, their social networking site becasue they are deliberately downgrading the social, exploratation, interesting aspects of Youtube to entice people to create GOOGLE+ accounts. I see that annoying GOOGLE+ upgrade account link on my youtube homepage right underneath my profile picture all the time, and it's annoying.
I've unsubbed all american entertainment yt channels and if i'm forced to change my layout i will boycott anything american and stop using google as a search engine. YT is like TV now, full of ads repeats and mindless bullshit anyway. Was good while it lasted.

@nutstar13 I don't know if the YouTube survey is still available, but if you find something like a bar at the top of the YouTube screen, you will find the survey there.
They may take account of everyone's submission of their replies,and hopefully they 'may' think again about changing the design and so on...
@theseus27 I tried the new channel and put it back . there was a comments box and I complained. I am sure there are more people who hate this than accept. The fact that they won´t let people choose between the personal channel is unacceptable. So I went to look again for the opinions or complaint action and it was impossible to find any where to comment.Any suggestions to new more personalized sites?

Zippcast holds many features Youtube does (Uploading videos,Watching,Rating videos,Subbing people Etc..The basics) and many that YT doesn't have or never has had (You can also upload Audio files and pictures for people to view, not to mention Zippcast has a Chat system ) It has a Nice channel Layout, Almost a copy of the YT 2008 Layout.
So what are you waiting for? If YT wont change, then go to the place that will give you what you want, Zippcast.

Google doesn't want people to discover new channels by allowing people to click on someones subscriptions list on their channel. They want people to discover new channels with their own recommendation list on the youtube home page. So what do they do? They eliminate the subscriptions list.

They wan't people to create GOOGLE+ accounts and for people to find out about someone through that service. So what do they do? They shrink the aboutme sections, make it not in plain view so you have to click on the more button. And they make all the channels have the same boring look.

the new channel design just has numbers-i cant find a way to make it show who's subscribed to me or who i have subscribed to.
we are not numbers-we are individuals with friends and followers-with likes,dislikes and like mindedness.
so i have changed back to the old style for now.

They may take account of everyone's submission of their replies,and hopefully they 'may' think again about changing the design and so on...

The fact that they won´t let people choose between the personal channel is unacceptable. So I went to look again for the opinions or complaint action and it was impossible to find any where to comment.Any suggestions to new more personalized sites?

We should all have an option whether to support the new design or not.
But, there's no guessing which one I am opting for. If it wasn't for us, YouTube wouldn't be here, so listen up YT, you could well have a mass mutiny on your hands!

This is what ive been thinking. Youtube might just notice a massive loss in members come March the 1st. You know what? Sites like this have all had their uprise and downfall. Remember Myspace? Remember Bebo? Look what happened to them. Sure Youtube is a multi million company but in the long run what happens when we all leave huh? MOVE TO ZIPPCAST PEOPLE..
Zippcast holds many features Youtube does (Uploading videos,Watching,Rating videos,Subbing people Etc..The basics) and many that YT doesn't have or never has had (You can also upload Audio files and pictures for people to view, not to mention Zippcast has a Chat system ) It has a Nice channel Layout, Almost a copy of the YT 2008 Layout.
So what are you waiting for? If YT wont change, then go to the place that will give you what you want, Zippcast.
