Today, Paxman Valenta-engined HST power cars are getting quite scarce as they are being replaced by MTU16V4000 and Paxman VP185 engines. The only operator left with them is Grand Central which will retain them until 2010 when they will install MTU, i will miss the valenta but if GC keep the numbers the same i might not kill myself (because i LOVE 43068) any way i still got 1 year of valenta left!
i hope at least one fully functional & complete set.. a pair valenta powered power cars and their coaches makes it into preservation... two sets would be great... three would be marvelous fingers crossed here... thanks for posting peak ;-)
