Talks about a "creator" but it is assumed we know what or who this and what this "creator" intended. No evidence is given for this decidedly significant claim.
I do not believe intelligence can only be developed in social creatures and as an argument I don't think I have seen any scientist say that it only develops in social creatures, if so the information is outdated, or a very small percentage believes this to be true. Doesn't this counteract what religion tells of though? Isn't the properties of religion supposed to be somewhat based off of the fact that we are the only intelligence in the universe? So all in all the argument seems to be invalid.
how could mary have given birth to jesus if her hymen wasnt broken? her vagina wouldve been way too small to give birth and therefore would have died giving birth to him.

Really, how does cephalopod intelligence contradict evolution? It doesn't. It does, however, contradict the usual creationist idea that God set man apart from beats as "special" and above everything else. If anything, cephalopod intelligence is a clear WIN for evolution, a demonstration of how there is no one optimal path and creatures will adapt to a given set of circumstances.
Bah, evolution does NOT say intelligence must evolve as a response to dealing with living in social groups. Evolution doesn't really have a stake in what path is acceptable to reach a given target. Whatever is most suited to the environment, whatever works, works. That's it. Descent with modification.
It is however stated that HUMANS evolved our intelligence as a way to cope with the complications of social living. But A) evolution itself doesn't say that, just the *history* of that evolution.
New research has shown that they are even more intelligent than earlier studies revealed. These findings run counter to evolutionary theory, which says that intelligence evolves in social species to help them deal with social relationships.
*********************
OK. They were wrong. Intelligence can evolve in species with solitary lifestyles. Now what?
and what if these octopi evolve to be able to live like mermaids underwater, and probably worship idols and make false rligions like humans, that's a tag.
Oh dear..."the octopus is not a social animal"...recent data from the Isle of Capri show exactly the opposite...a solitary animal moving to become a social animal living and hunting in social groupings...oh ohhhhh...evolution at work?
octopi have EVOLVED to be so intelligent and to learn how to deal with problems such as opening a jar, there very smart and they didnt just become smart at one moment in time and neither did we
What does this has to do with creationism? It's aknowledged by zoologists that the octopuses (or the cephalopods in general) have the highest level of intelligence of all invertebrate species. What's the point? Has that now been discovered by creationists? It has been discovered long ago by the "evolutionist" science.
Having said the negative things I said, I want to give BereanBeacon a thumbs up for at least being willing to leave comments turned on, unlike so many other creationists views. That, at least, shows more integrity than most.
@neoaeonian So, if you're not willing to spend 50-60% of your day policing your own video threads against 16 year old trolls or answering every objection from dozens of atheist for years to come and therefore turn off your comments section you should be judged as having questionable integrity?

Point well taken. "Integrity" was a bad choice of words. Still, my thumbs up stands. I disagree with BereanBeacon, but I think it was courageous for BB to leave comments on.
This is such a strange filter to look at nature with.
Point out a fact, any fact. Now find some way to use the fact to make some claim about God.
Look an ocean wave.
Imagine God's wisdom in creating that particular ocean wave at just this time, right when he knew I'd be looking and appreciate it.
It's no wonder so little is being accomplished in science by this mindset. It wastes so much time fabricating a "how this fits into God's plan" story that no actual new information happens.
@stabtheimage Yeah, like all those other "real"&"tangible observations" such as biogenesis & abusively exaggerating discoveries of biological change into a unifying theory of the origin of all biology. All while never EVER addressing the inherent logical & philosophical implications regarding the intentionality of design innate to all forms of life, the study of logic, mathematics or even subatomic particles. But lets just ignore all this n the pursuit of 'knowing' a godless reality.
@4570sharps abiogenesis is not taught as a "Darwin said it, I believe it, and that settles it for me." religion, but as a mysterious thing, not because we can't imagine how it could have happened, but because we know so many ways it could have happened, but the evolved creatures since then have eaten the evidence, so we don't know the precise course it took.
I wish you naysayers would take the time to look at the evidence (even biblical)before being so sure of your invisible friend's role.
@neoaeonian Please reread my comments in context of what stabtheimage said, "we should form our view of reality based on real, tangible observations". The issue is not a matter of how u think abiogenesis might/could have happened but rather, as an ardent purveyor of atheistic naturalism, the absolute required belief that it MUST have happened b/c of your various presuppositions taken on faith just as if it were a religious "science said it, I believe it, that settles it".
@4570sharps I was like you, once, grasping at every straw where science hadn't yet filled in enough gaps. I did what you are doing now for over a decade, pointing fingers at the unfilled in holes of knowledge and saying, "See, you haven't explained this yet." But after watching science explain gap after gap and noticing that the creationists ignored each new discovery, I realized which side had the moral high ground, which side was honestly seeking answers, and which was just seeking tithes.
@4570sharps (part 2) I wish it was harmless. Sure these beliefs have benefits. They've helped end king's total rule, they've helped overrule elitisms that were inherently evil, and they've motivated people to do good, 'cause Santa's watching.
But they've diverted resources away from solvable medical problems, blinded minds to the value of reality and rational thinking, and made prayer and wishful thinking a substitute for effort and reason. I like the baby, but wish we'd drop the bathwater.
@neoaeonian This is a logical fallacy. The admiration I have for my wife's beauty (or an ocean wave) is something ENTIRELY different then what might interest me in becoming a pulmonologist to study the health of my wife's lungs (or become an Oceanographer). The irony is that the exact opposite of your error is what is true. MUCH of medical & scientific history came about by people motivated by the love they had for God's people & His creation & therefore involved themselves in science.
@neoaeonian (Part 2) Let me also add that for a Christian creation can not be viewed only in terms of cold logic and scientific fact. We first see God's glory, purpose and meaning in all created things according to Colossians 1:16-17. Would you not fault a Christian as inconsistent in his or her worldview for doing anything less then that? And yet here you are misguidedly using false reasoning to try and find nonexistent nit-picky fault in us for acting on the truth.
@4570sharps Re: this is a logical fallacy (wife's lung example)
You have a good point. And I can think of examples that are true to your point. Loma Linda University, a very fundamentalist religion based institution, does go to great lengths to study nature in a useful fashion, having made several medical breakthroughs.
But the video errs in calling this evidence that pair bonding theory of intellectual selection in primates is wrong. Perhaps not the only approach, yes, but wrong, no?
If the increase in intelligence is beneficial enough to a species in any way, natural selection will benefit that particular animal and there's your evolution. I don't see where the theory of evolution states it's only for social interaction. Sure that's part of it, but to say that's all is...basically your typical creationist argument. Illogical.
If thats the case, what about hellen keller who was literally a prisoner in her own body and she was deaf, couldnt speak, and couldnt see.It took another woman to help her break out of that shell and we now have american sign language.Helen was not a social creature yet she proved after learning ASL that she had the same thoughts and feelings as everyone else.Yet most christians of the time thought that either A:she did something to displease god and was punished,or B:That she was demon posessed
