  • Anna Russell does a side-splitting version, calling it "oh gentle bird with feathered breast'

  • cute!!!!

  • SOunds like swine flu to me!

  • Amazing TV classic.. Her, Rampal and his gold flute, and good old Rowlf staying cool at the piano. And Frank Oz doing the singing of a very dfficult song.

  • LOL It's so funny when Miss Piggy sings those high notes. XD

  • One more chorus would have killed the pig. Encore! Encore!

    Axaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What does aria antica mean? Beacause i have to sing an aria antica for an audition.

  • This is a misnomer as applied to this tune. 'Arie antiche' are commonly known as 'old Italian Art Songs' dating from c. 1600-1725- with words in Italian, of course. Caccini,Pergolesi,Stradella,Scarlatti, Marcello, Monteverdi are noted composers of these 'arie'(arias-songs).

  • I'll respond by quoting that well known, politically incorrect phrase---"It's not over until the Fat Lady Sings"!

  • Miss Piggy, I'm note sure you're well using your Kopftstimme.

  • Improve just a little on your breath support, and you'll be a true challenger to the unforgettable Madame Florence Foster Jenkins!

  • Extraordinaire!

  • Absolutely delightful!

  • Look at the Pied Pieper..Jean Pierre in his best..:)

  • Hehe I love when he comes right back at her like "You know, I usually PLAY alone!" hahahaha!

Man, Rampal will never be forgotten. He's such a legend. RIP

  • Music by Sir Henry Rowley

  • Actually Sir Henry Rowley Bishop - the first musician ever to receive a knighthood [from Queen Victoria]. The first singer ever to be knighted [also by Victoria] was Sir Charles Santley.

  • Great! Thanks for post

  • Wow! My two favourite musicians together!!!

  • !!! Love when Piggy turns to Rolf and says, Do it!" Hi-LARRY-us!

  • this is friggin hilrious.

  • This is sooooooooooo funny~!!

  • Can't believe he played his gold flute in this hilarious scene. But it would not be Rampal without it. More wine please.

  • How cute! I just played this piece with a soprano friend of mine a few months ago - I think I prefer this version, though...much funnier, haha! Thanks for posting this, I really miss Jean-Pierre! :-( *hugs* ~Marissa

  • You are very welcome! It is one of my favourites!

    :)
