What I don't understand is the Canon EOS 7D cost around $2,000 but the canon XF105 cost about $4,000 but the video quality of the Canon EOS 7D is 2x sharper then the XF105 and its almost 2 grand cheaper. Why is that? Maybe I should buy the 7D instead and pocket the extra $2,000.
these pictures and videos are amazing!!! my mom has a 7D and i take pictures with it ALL the time, but when i upload them on the computer it doesn't look clear like your pictures. /:
Beautiful quality. The best I've seen from a Canon. Even the colour looks bang on. I usually prefer Nikon images because I think the results are generally more true to real life, but these look great.
hey so this pinnacle program.where can i find it..i would like to use a program for my 7d to make and edit little hd clips like this..cause windows movie maker is not working for me.lol.if could get back to me with some info i would appreciate it.thanks
rubent100: another option is the Canon 50mm prime lens, F1.4. Sort of in between the 85mm 1.2 and 1.8, cost is only $350, and with the cropped CMOS sensor, it's effectively 85mm. Having an 85mm, effectively approx 120mm, may be less ideal, depending on how close you are to subject. Something to ponder. Love these images from apapics. They really show the 7D video. I enjoy my 7D, but wish the video sound recording quality was much better; I'll need an external mic.
@rubent100 Depends really. If budget is an issue then go for the 1.8. If your using your camera for shooting video and its not a canon 5D mkii, I would suggest getting the canon 50mm 1.4 lens instead of either of these. 50mm on a cropped sensor is approximately 85mm...
Good luck with the Steadicam Merlin?. That is an excellent choice and worth the money. Don't let the initial setup and practice sessions discourage you. The extra effort is well worth it. Today's gain in digital world gives everyone a chance to produce remarkable results at a reasonable cost. I like the results of that 85mm lens! Best of luck. and have lots of fun!
because of this video test im definately buying this camera for my beauty/fashion channel
