@supertrouper: So, to marry for a second (third) time, is less important spouse, a lesser marriage ?! Of course succes is built from the beginning so, indeed, Sheila & Valerie & Fayette did that. But, after Fayette there's Helen and it was not at all evident that the succes would continue - but they did ! After Sheila, it was very hard for the group to go further but, again, they did. Why, certainly not only because of their past. They worked hard, did new projects, with again... success !
Then Fayette left in '76 and Helen who was one of the original members in the 60s came back and that was not a very big deal because only one member changed while they were already famous internationally, but then when Sheila left in the mid 80s then the groups reputation completely changed when they hired some person who was never famous especially since they already gained such a fame over the years. I feel that the quality of the group changed with all those member changes, especially shiela
I did some research on the group on how they began back in the 60s and the members changed a lot that time, but that is different because they were teens and just started out so they had time to build the reputation and they were known only locally at the time. By the time they were well known internationally, Sheila, Fayette and Valerie were the members.
its not only that Sheila left The members changed so many times over their big fame years. I can understand if one member leaves and gets replaced, but almost the whole group members were replaced over the years of being in the international spotlight that it doesn't look like the group anymore.
They all should have gone their separate ways to continue their fame individually and then maybe once in a while come back together as a reunion. It truly isn't the same to continue when group singers have been famous for years and older and then a lead singer leaves and then replaced by some unfamous person.
if they were still in their 20s or hired someone famous that would be different because they would still have time make their famous reputation or either they would get even more attention if they hired an already famous person but since they have been famous for years and older, having the best singer to leave and replaced by an unfamous person is like starting all over again at a late age and people trying for fame late in age is unlikely to be as successful.
I don't like how the group changed. Sheila was the best and lead singer. They all should have gone their separate ways once Sheila left to pursue their own solo careers as well but instead they replace her with someone never famous especially since they were already older changes their reputation to the public attention since they were already famous for years.
RIP for Dré Stemans, alias Felice (the presantator of the program), who

Today, the ladies continue to show the world their professionalism.
I think everybody builds his career further on the past, don't you ?
They don't have to prove anything anymore to the world. They still love to sing and they are truly DIVAS ! Beware... still new things to come.
