Well, I can agree it had a certain "whine" to it when it was going down the track.
the reason was because of the way the gears were cut in the gearbox. A spur cut gear has a discernible noise to it, but it also worked very well.
Auburn finished first in the endurance event (shown), and third place over all against 120+ teams
