im italian but i'll say it in english, every time i hear this music and or movie i end up crying with on eye, its poetry, violence, sadness hapiness, what our southamerican cousins call "saudade".

I just cant understand how cinema critics can be so stubborn to give the godfather 5 stars and this move 3. ffs predator and rocky 1 have 3 stars, and the godfather is... ok, but not movie history, as Coppola was always more interested in his career than in art. cinema is not only image, also narration

My wife introduced me to this film years ago. I thought it was a good film, however, when I heard the music, I was immediatley captivated. The music

at the end of the film, is spiritual in nature. Morricone really did his best with this piece of music. It is my favorite of all time. I meditate while listening to this.

I first saw this movie back in the early 90's and the one thing that stayed with me was the music. How did Mr. Morricone capture the sadness, the loss of an era, the feelings we imagine Noodles had for Deborah, choosing to go with Max (Noodles, your mother is calling you...), the closing scene with Noodles back in the opium den and this music had such a powerful effect on me.

Es tremenda esta composición de Morricone, plasma todo el sentimiento de la historia que cuenta la película. Pocas veces he sentido la fusión de una preciosa melodía con la historia que cuenta de esta forma y es que parece que te está contando la historia con ese arriba y abajo de la vida y el final de la composición te deja con una sensación esperanzadora.

because this music was written for the film we assosiate it with different scences that make it more powerfull than it is. i hope these musicians realise how talented they are and how they have affected millions of people.maybe i'm saying this because i know the film off by heart. i wonder how this music would have affected me if i had never had seen the film. it would have touched me either way. simply great!
