All of these cars are very good platforms to tune on. I'm a Honda guy myself, but I wasn't expecting the ITR to walk away so easily from the RX8 like that.
There's more to traction than weight. And once you start tuning some cars while leaving others stock, its not exactly a fair comparison anymore is it?
The ITR was not tuned. It is still stock. Something got lost in translation. What they really mean is that in 2005, the DC5 was 'refreshed' by Honda. It received suspension upgrades, new headlights, etc...
I agree, sort of . . . It does matter. Its just not the only, or even the most important thing. The RSX is lighter, and probably has equal if not more power at the wheels. Also most AWD cars the handle like FWD machines the majority of the time, the AWD just doesnt come into play untill the corners are super slow, or you are producing massive power.

First thing you need to know, when BMI subtitles say "modified" sometimes they mean "minor changed model".
The Civic and Integra still stock cars.
You can check it when the Japanese drivers says it.
And for the "outcome", I'm sure everyone who've been around with cars know that they're in the different level for tuning, u know that right?
The point of this vids is for comparing cars in the range of Civic and Integra that's why they used 260hp version of Impreza.

MR's cornering are fastest, if only the MR-S was tuned it could've came in 3rd, its light so traction not a problem for the MR-S
they made rx-7 type r, they should make rx-8 type r too

Sorry dude, JDM DC5R has 220bhp, not like the RSX-S. RX8 is also over 150kgs heavier than the R.

it doesn't matter whether its ff or awd. Chassis set up is the key and also tyres. Power to weight ratio also comes into play too! HTH.
