@EntinludeX Hi Brother, I do trust in God. I know from being on youtube that not everyone trust or believes in him. In this world there is evil, so yes we do need to protect ourselves and others from it. In the next world there will be only peace.
So for now I will continue to pray and work hard. All the best to you !!
That doens't really address the question of why you would need to protect yourselves from evil in the first place, if you trusted god to begin with.
By which I mean, if you practice what is preached, and "thou shall fear no evil for the lord art with you" then the worst that could happen in "this life" is wakeing up in the "next life".
Atheists protect themselves. I thought you trusted god.
So the "protect ourselves" bit sounds a tad hypocritical.
When the Pope drives about in his bullet proof car, or the faithful dive into a storm cellar, it sure seems to me like he's putting more faith in those man-made protective measures than in god's divine protection or an assured seat in an afterlife.
I don't see how "protecting ourselves" w/ guns is any different than that.
Should we change it from "In god we trust" to "In guns we trust?"
@integral, BS, I am not a Tea Party person and there were so many people there a 45 minute trip took 3 hours from Laughlin, NV. It has so many people no one could get in because of the numbers leaving. We decided to go to Henderson for the next meet and the TP buses were 1 1/2 hour late because of the Tea Party Searchlight crowds.
I went to see a Tea Party and It took me 3 hours to get to the rally because there were so many people. It was insane. People are really angry at the abuse of power that the Obama crew has been displaying. I will will vote for Mickey Mouse if offered against my Democrats and same for Obama in 2012. Who is running this country anyway,
@bishpoul, I am a son of the original revolution, declaration signed by Sam Chase, my family, and I'm a 6X wounded combat vet. I earned my place in this country and no one is dragging it away from the Constitution while I am on watch. I've been overrun twice and left they that did dead on the battlefield. I'll do it again if need be, right here on US soil.
@jbaldy61 that was hysterical jbaldy....I heard that one too! We enjoyed this tea party to the max. I heard the airial count was 11, 200, but probably more.
If I am unaware of any verifiable vulgarities uttered by Tea Party goers, this would be an excellent opportunity for you to educate me. Are you up to the challenge, or unable to verify what has been "widely reported"? I was unable to verify; your sources are better.
I have not identified as a Tea Party member, why do you claim otherwise? We've never met. (Which also makes the use of a pet nickname sort of creepy.)
@integral You see nothing of the kind. What you see in my comment is that I am used to Keith Olbermann reporting the size of events with which he does not agree as being smaller than the reported numbers from other sources and in direct disagreement with video footage or still photos.
What I see from your comment, is that you like to use vulgar language to "make a funny" about the name of a group of people. That's not funny, cute, or mature.
@RobNYNY1957 - That's a ridiculous statement. You could hardly walk through the crowd due to the fact that there were over 10,000 people in attendance. And that number is substantiated. Nice try.
Its Nevada , They have room to spare. So why sit on top of each other. No need to exaggerate the size of the crowd anyway. That doesnt matter. In November the size of the crowd matters. Liberal attempts to demonize and diminish the tea party movement are proof they are scared. Keep running your mouth while the silent majority marks off days on their calendars
My husband and I (both college educated) were there with our 14 year old and 6 year old. We saw many young people, many children, and yes, many old people. For all those you see on the video there were so many more, like my family, walking the 3.5 miles to get to the rally. Who cares what color the people are? I saw all races of people there, but more importantly I saw AMERICANS who want to keep our country from becoming a socialist run government. Nothing wrong with that!
@ajgordish - I removed the racially slurred comment of which you responed. Skin color and racism is something the left embraces when they run out of legitimate ideas. They ran out about 50 years ago. Everyone is welcomed with open arms regardless of race or religion. I challenge anyone to provide proof of a single racial slur or a single person turned away because of race or skin color. The racist argument just doesn't stand up. Period.
@BrianKShoemake There were none! Everyone was a little cold, and we fought the wind with our signs, but there were no racial comments that I could hear. I saw rich, poor, black, white, old and young. It was great.
@judarama Criticize all you like, but if these people are enjoying their benefits like Social Security and Medicare, it's because they have paid into the system throughout their whole working lives. Wouldn't you think they deserve some benefit? They're trying to keep our country free for you and your family.
@BrianKShoemake Thank you! I just replied to someone's post that implied we were hypocrites by receiving SS. Truth is, if I had invested privately what the government deducted for SS I would be receiving 3 times what I am now. I had no control over MY SS account and they who did managed it badly. Now they are broke. My God .... anyone else would be broke and out of business. I guess what I am thankful for is that my money manager is allowed to print money.
@BrianKShoemake Those are "socialist" programs. You can't pick and choose like a cafeteria when it comes to the socialist programs. To claim one is socialist - health insurance reform - and the others aren't makes you a hypocrite.
Obama is as Socialist as the Republicans were in 1970. This is how skewed our politcs have become - no historical reference, no insight - just parroting Fox news. Do you really believe this is good for our country?
IS IT TIME?! Go to USRevolution2 (dot com) and get your flag of the Second American Revolution. They were all over the crowd in the Scott Brown Rally and last week-ends rally in DC. They are made in America and look exactly like the flag of Betsy Ross with a Roman numeral II in the center of the 13 stars. This flag is now in all 50 states and spreading from porch to porch. They make great gifts for family, friends and recovering Liberals.
@ImDiscombobulated wow, from the looks of it, they should have just hit all of the senior citizen facilites in the state of Nevada. I knew the teabaggers were mostly old, white, and not overly bright, but even I am shocked at the average age of this audience being old. Many of these people look like they might croak before the November elections
@MidwestN8TV - These are the old folks who gave birth to your generation and worked to put people like you through school. They are veterans who fought for you. They are teachers and cops and retired fire fighters. Doctors, lawyers and average American citizens who want nothing more than for you to live in a free country and to grow and prosper. Nothing is easy in this world and freedom is not free. These people are here to do the heavy lifting to make up for past mistakes. What are you doing?

@integral I am not aware of any verifiable vulgarities uttered by Tea Party goers, but:
1. In a large group of any kind, there are going to be rude people
2. Is your defense for your use of vulgarities: "They started it!"? (If so, makes my description of your maturity more valid.)
The use of vulgarity diminishes the credibilty of the speaker/writer -- not the listener/reader.

Note the wide, wide spacing between the rows of chairs to exaggerate the size of the crowd.
