Kachina dances are religious and these dances on the video are social, meaning to meet in a more festive place. They are both Hopi culture, But, Kachina dances represent prayers to our creator for the continued blessing of our peoples existence.

Yes it is a social dance and public, as is a kachina dance. A social dance is as 'sacred' as a kachina dance bc there is purpose behind the dance. Hopi's are more lenient with social dances than kachina, however if Myself or my family records a social dance it is for private viewing, not for the world to see. Hopi are secretive people so why post this? If people are interested in learing the culture then come to the rez. PS you cannot compare this to a country dance.
