I feel that idra was too impatient in wanting to destroy the bunkers for both games. Making a spine crawler and slowly do the dmg would have been a better idea. True that you will sacrifice some economy since you will be in one base for longer than a usual zerg wants to be in, but the terran had made huge sacrifces as well just to make the 2 early rax. So cancelling them out, the terran will actually be a bit behind if idra were to properly defend the bunker contain.

Depending on how much the terran invested on this useless blockade. if its 1 bunker then its easily baneling bustable, if its 2, the best option would actually be to nydus near his base, or inside if he can, and just run in the unblocked ramp. either that or poke the bunkers from above while teching and massing drones. When his seconds base goes up he should be equal footed with the terran who invested a lot on the contain.
Nydus worm is much to far up the tech tree to be a viable option and while bane nest isn't that far, you are still being contained on 1 base for too long. In either case the terran would probably be smart enough to contain the zerg until it become sobvious he cannot keep the contain, at which point he can just salvage the bunkers loose the marines and not suffer nearly as much as the zerg.
@QcnARF Nydus worm or baneling bust would be insta win since the terran would take advantage of the contain to invest in an expansion while having shit tech which is pretty much gg. A bunker in ur natural is hardly a guaranteed loss.
Terran is not gonna totally gonna stop unit production and can put up some bunkers at the natural to prepare vs banes (you won't have that many banes off one base after already using some to bust out of the contain. And the nydus is still far in the tech tree and not a little investment. A good terran will be ready and the main on Metalopolis is not that huge (a nydus is not easy to hide). You can say what you want, the fact is if those bunkers go up the terran is ahead.
@QcnARF heck, u can just bypass the bunker down the ramp with speedlings and get right into the unwalled base and insta win or either force more early barracks to block ramp to get the tarran even further behind in tech. At that point, once the roaches are out its done.

This is the stupidest thing ever. Grand Master play is full of Terrans doing this to the other races.
They can cut worker production, construct buildings at their opp's base, and go all-in without suffering economically.
Protoss are a tech/energy dependent race. They need cool-downs and expensive buildings.
Zerg are a gas heavy race. The least accessible resource in the game.
Terran depend on minerals....the most readily available resource, and they have the best harvester for it in MULE's.

@QcnARF the spine would prevent the bunkers from ever going up. The terran would be forced to back off and resume the macro game in which he is already behind because he pulled scvs for a long time to build barracks and bunkers not to mention a useless second barracks which delayed teching. On the other hand the zerg only had to make:
1 spine crawler.

Depending on how much the terran invested on this useless blockade. if its 1 bunker then its easily baneling bustable, if its 2, the best option would actually be to nydus near his base, or inside if he can, and just run in the unblocked ramp. either that or poke the bunkers from above while teching and massing drones. When his seconds base goes up he should be equal footed with the terran who invested a lot on the contain.

Nydus worm is much to far up the tech tree to be a viable option and while bane nest isn't that far, you are still being contained on 1 base for too long. In either case the terran would probably be smart enough to contain the zerg until it become sobvious he cannot keep the contain, at which point he can just salvage the bunkers loose the marines and not suffer nearly as much as the zerg.

Terran is not gonna totally gonna stop unit production and can put up some bunkers at the natural to prepare vs banes (you won't have that many banes off one base after already using some to bust out of the contain. And the nydus is still far in the tech tree and not a little investment. A good terran will be ready and the main on Metalopolis is not that huge (a nydus is not easy to hide). You can say what you want, the fact is if those bunkers go up the terran is ahead.

-2 barracks at the start+ scvs pulled for bunkers + bunker +4 marines in bunker = shit early game eco
- early expand + more bunkers + more marines in bunkers + saturation
while zerg invested in 1 spine crawler.
This is a stomp, terran is way too behind in tech, bunkers and marines vs shitton of banelings. Its insta gg.

@QcnARF heck, u can just bypass the bunker down the ramp with speedlings and get right into the unwalled base and insta win or either force more early barracks to block ramp to get the tarran even further behind in tech. At that point, once the roaches are out its done.

I guess our personal opinions on what "Raging" is are different. Yes quitting w/o GG could be considered impolite, but I certainly wouldn't call it raging. To me "Raging" tends to involve an emotion called... rage. Walking away w/o saying anything doesn't really display this quality to me. Just my opinion. ;)

I am not an idra fan, and I play random on ladder, but the fact that 2rax is an ever so good pressure, and even if it fails scvs were being made for about half of the the time just screams to me that something is horribly wrong. Against cella his 2rax failed and won with banshees.
Your argument is good, but what was idra supposed to do? seems OP to me.

@turkeysonmeth2 idrA could have built one spine and defended easiily, without cutting many drones. 2 rax isn't all in in anyway,even if proxied, unless they pull most of their scvs, so it makes sense that you can come back. (in the cella game ti wasn't really a comeback, but an all in)

@Godspart0n i think that if Idra went for a spine, all that Richman would have to do is shoot it down with marines while its rooting/being made. The lings Idra would lose by making that spine would set his army behind, plus there are bunkers for the terran to fall back on. If he decided to cut drones in making that spine hed lose. too many marines.
And the fact that 2 rax isn't all in just proves how good terran is.
I think that you are way to hard on idra. I say this completely un-biased...ly
