  • Looks like a team with a lot of personality

  • Is it true that the crusaders practiced at the Rocky River Ice Rink?

  • Gotta love Cheevers for jumping leagues!

  • Hahaha At the start of the vid he has a cigarette. ah the 70s.

  • I heard the women commenting on the purple sweaters-actually the road purple & black were pretty impressive (it was a shiny purple). By the way-Henry Carr Collegiate in Toronto, you owe Nick Mileti (Crusaders owner) royalties for "stealing" their logo! :)

  • your full of shit

  • Full of shit with respect to what-the unis or Henry Carr? :)

FYI, I used to be one of the few fans who attended Ottawa Nationals' games, so I actually saw the unis in person. As for the Henry Carr situation...it almost a public domain issue anyway-if there was going to be any legal action, I'm sure that it would have happened long ago! :)

  • @Jimbo0190 i wish i was around for the wha!!

  • hall of famer and greatest Boston Bruin goalie of all time

  • Was Cheevers smoking a cigarette at the beginning of this clip? Are you kidding? That is hilarious!

  • BRING BACK THE OLD STYLE HOCKEY MASKS! They were so much more unique looking than the ones now.

  • I agree they were a lot cooler no doubt! I like Phil Myre's old white mask with the flyers. But wearing those masks in todays hockey? They would get killed :-D

  • @JasonVoorhees83 Phil Myre with the Flyers? I just remember him on the Flames.

  • ...and they did such a great job of protecting the goalies! :)

  • This is an awesome video post of the Crusaders.

My Uncle Bill Horton is in this clip. I never got to see him play in his prime. He played junior hockey with Walt McKechnie and Darryl Sittler in London with the Nationals now known as the London Knights. My uncle passed away 15 years ago so thanks for the memories.

  • Thanks for posting this. Living in a none NHL city the WHA made it possible for me to see so many hockey greats: Howe, Hull, the Russian Red Army team, it was great!

  • Nice hairdos!

  • That's the highlight of this video!

  • Chickenwire insead of glass in the olf Arena

  • I love this video and especially the psychedelic music set to making saves.

  • I thought Reg Dunlop was a lover
