I spent the week leading up to Christmas in Chicago last year. Have never had so much fun. It's like NY minus the gross and SanFran minus the douche. Great city.
@6hrt well Chicago is the biggest city of the two plus we have 24hr public transit, nice homes, apartments & trendy hoods. lets not forget Chicago has a more accessible waterfront than the other two. the lakefront & beaches are Chicago's front yard. the only disavantage if u cant hack it is our brutal winters but swing on by burlington coat factory & get named brand coat for a decent price & winter gear & you're straight. Charlotte is slow & shuts dow early & Boston is more expensive.
@6hrt Chicago has the best pizzas & sandwhiches. you should try out italian beefs dipped with hot or sweet peppers, maxwell street polishes & the classic Chicago-style hot dogs. in addition we have ethnic restaurants & foods from all over the world from greek, asian, carribbean, indian,etc. we have little india, china town, greek town etc. but my favorites are the soul food restaurants called MacArthers on the west side & BJ's market on the southside. any type of food u want we got it in the CHI
@6hrt if even if wasnt from Chicago i would pick Chicago out of the three cities cause Chicago has everything & we're a diverse global city with the world's greatest skyline & decent cost of living. Boston is like a smaller NYC with no alleys but shuts down early they are known only for having good sea food. Charlotte is a small city surrounded by open country. i,ve been there once & bits ok to visit but i got bored there after a while. its a slower city but the people are friendly.
@6hrt yeah we got decent weather in the CHI but our winters are similar to canadian winters by us being so close to canada we get that canadian cold front. but in the summer our beaches & lakefront are off the chain like an urban version of california beaches with the Chicago skyline in the back drop.

NY does have record companies and here in Chicago we have talent that is sometimes overlooked because they are not produced with a big record company. @26Deacon Well actually, the trash gets placed on the street in the late evening the day before "trash day" for the particular neighbourhood. *It is usually removed very early the next morning. *The major problem is the bits of garbage left behind after the bags are removed. But the population definitely has something to do with it too.Manhattan and other busy streets over 1.5 million people walk across it on any given day, not to mention, the maybe 500 or 600 thousand cars that do as well....

@6hrt well Chicago is the biggest city of the two plus we have 24hr public transit, nice homes, apartments & trendy hoods. lets not forget Chicago has a more accessible waterfront than the other two. the lakefront & beaches are Chicago's front yard. the only disavantage if u cant hack it is our brutal winters but swing on by burlington coat factory & get named brand coat for a decent price & winter gear & you're straight. Charlotte is slow & shuts dow early & Boston is more expensive.

I am a White Sox fan.
And for the winters I would be used to it because I live in Canada and my city sometimes gets as much as 6 feet of snow.

@6hrt Chicago has the best pizzas & sandwhiches. you should try out italian beefs dipped with hot or sweet peppers, maxwell street polishes & the classic Chicago-style hot dogs. in addition we have ethnic restaurants & foods from all over the world from greek, asian, carribbean, indian,etc. we have little india, china town, greek town etc. but my favorites are the soul food restaurants called MacArthers on the west side & BJ's market on the southside. any type of food u want we got it in the CHI

@6hrt if even if wasnt from Chicago i would pick Chicago out of the three cities cause Chicago has everything & we're a diverse global city with the world's greatest skyline & decent cost of living. Boston is like a smaller NYC with no alleys but shuts down early they are known only for having good sea food. Charlotte is a small city surrounded by open country. i,ve been there once & bits ok to visit but i got bored there after a while. its a slower city but the people are friendly.

@6hrt yeah we got decent weather in the CHI but our winters are similar to canadian winters by us being so close to canada we get that canadian cold front. but in the summer our beaches & lakefront are off the chain like an urban version of california beaches with the Chicago skyline in the back drop.

@6hrt you'll fit in good in Chicago then cause Chicago will remind u of a bigger Toronto which happens to be our sister city even our neighborhoods are similar with courtway apartment buildings, bungelows & tree lined streets. Chjicago is one of the fewest cities in the world with 24hr public transit el/subway trains & uses so having a car here is not a must only a luxury. i dont even have one especially since i save more money without one plus parking is a bitch on the northside. LOL!
