If you look closley at the scene in rambo 2 where he fires a bazzoka trough the helicopter window. You will se that the hand that fires are holding a rpg, while what rambos fireing is a laws.
Rambo: I want for our country to love US as much as love IT !!
Colonel: Uhhhh, John......I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. What ELSE do you want ? Want a banana split ? A new tie, maybe ? I can set you up with my cousin Bertha. She has a really nice personality.....
What i dont get i how come as americans we dont listen to this guy. The soldiers didn't start this war, and even if you dont agree with the war, at least be kind to them. Thats what we need to improve on in the USA. Go Rambo
I wonder if it really will be about the housekeepers/his long lost daughter going missing in Mexico. That sounds like an interesting plot to me, but I do understand why they didnt use it for Rambo 4
they're so patriotic, that they are completely ignorant to the rest of the world, they refuse to accept anything negative about their country, it makes me sick
I'm not American, but they've always been taught to be patriotic since childhood, and to love their country. Just like alot of other countries, e.g. Japan.

The thing i love about rambo is that he kills like a million guys then comes out with some half assed reason why it makes him understand himself as a human
jewish polotics? you are absurd. i see you've listened to hitler a little too much and rambo and rocky may be italian-americans but they are still AMERICANS and thats what counts in the end, one nation under god

this always makes me cry with laughter, especially if I've just watched the rocky balboa speech "nothing hits harder than life" or the rambo speech "live for nothing, or die for something" a few seconds earlier
meatbizzal, yes yes you are the best ! I think what americans need is a bit of modesty. Be more humble. US is a country full of good things in term of cinema, music and so on... but what i dislike is they have this strong idea to be the most powerful and be the best. What they is sometimes good and sometimes bad, just like every country, every people, they are just human being.
im a proud and true american, and i say that yeh america is a little arrogant but we have something every other country doesn't have, whether for better or worse, and that is a dream, that you can do anything if you try and that is the AMERICAN dream
u hate us because were the best everyone hates the best and the best's allies besides u probley think of how our culter is meaning less but by god everything we do has a purpose u wonder what the world would be like if we left our allies in ww2 without support then we would b a nazi world a shit place
This is so true. My uncle was a Marine in Vietnam. He had been called a "babykiller" when he returned. He never did anything wrong over there. Every time he hears Stallone's words in this scene, he cries. He just can't help it.
umm, first of all, it was Stallone, himself, that considered Rambo and Rocky to be American heroes. Rocky for persueing the American Dream, and Rambo for fighting for OUR American dreams. Doesn't matter what race or ethinicity you are. America is the melting pot. Second, with that kinda attitude you have, sterotyping a group of people, we have wars.
whoa hey fuckhead so you hate America big deal but don't bring the Jews in this they don't want fucking trouble its dicks like you that make America suck
Yeah? He must've been speaking about the men who've fought, and died for their country in Vietnam. Same thing should be said about the men who are fighting, and dying for their country in Iraq.
They followed their direct orders given by the people they elected. So its the people who voted for their presidents should be blamed. Not the soldiers who died for nothing with out a complain. Atleast one brave man speak about it here. Dats why i love Stallone.. Der could be many good actors than him. But no one gave such a strong image that last for ever. His gift is RAMBO. And no one will ever forget Rambo even long after the death of all of us.
Rambo set up standard for a lot of heroes of our time in asia. Da shit thing is, western countries hate their army when the papers say something. But we love our boys who goes for war no matter what the cause is. We don't care what they do or how they do. But they are greater than any of those asses who sit there and blame them. I heard that americans spit on the soldiers when they returned from vietnam war. Retards.
the SAS and The Marines are both elite forces and are fighting over nothing to protect our counties and familys and he hate them for it because we dont understand.
Untill you've been a Marine (RMC - which is British) as I was, you can't really understand where the Rambo premise is coming from. A Marine and a Solider are two different things. Almost anyone can join the army, but The Royal Marines are a cut above. Most recruits fail. It's hard, it's tough and you need to be a bit mad to do it.
That's what the Rambo thing is about - once a Marine, always a marine. A focus, an aggression is instilled in you. You can kill without thinking. That never goes.
hes saying if u watch part 1, that the country disowned him and that he saw soo much violence he couldnt take it. rambo was a ego-maniac green beret bit more than a soldier. the tale is that in rambo 2 the freeing of pow's was a sham so america doesnt set up a new campaign to get them back due to public out cry. watch it u find out. its true of today a soldier should earn more than footballer and a boxer a month dont u agree !
mate i wouldnt say that being a marine makes you 'elite'. If you were talking about the SAS then its a different story but dont get too full of urself
are you in the SAS? What background do you have to say something is better then another. Of course Marine is above Army... they get shot at before MOST ppl know that their own country is at war.
he had like a stroke or something when he was a little boy possibly a baby i forgot got it form wikipedia but one side of his face is sort of paralized
I also loved this movie - and still do. Its my favorite. Saw it 5 times in the theather back in 1985. And the music in this movie (by Jerry Goldsmith) is the best music ive ever heard.

This is first blood part 2. He just got done rescuing the POW's from vietnam in this one. Rambo 3 is where he fights the Russians in Afghanistan
