@kEPTreaL100 come on man Drake sings alot sure and he really only raps about how his heart has been broken by some sluts he shouldn't have been messing with in the first place but dud can spit. Go listne t o his verse off Light It Up or Dreams Money Can Buy. He's from Toronto. The T-Dot is a REAL Hip Hop city. Lil Wayne has certainly dumbed down his flow but listen to the Dedication 2. Let's not act like them dudes are garbage cus we don't like there music cus' when they want to they go in.
@ReturnOfTheBoomBap22 I won't because ya'll peons don't understand that EVERYBODY plays a part in Hip Hop and by even acknowledging them cats you're giving them power! Even in the 80's and 90's ya'll act like EVERYBODY was nice when that wasn't the case.

@bletso123 hip hop is a fairly new genre the reason why you can find raw shit is that its very easy to record as opposed to music which requires instrumental tracks. talent in hip hop is all dead, the new shit coming out now is fucking trash 99% of all "rappers" now are faggots who spit 40 metaphors then say shit like "BEST RAPOR ALYV"
Love this, I loved this sound when it was out in the 90's, it just got a certain feel to it thats kinda hard to explain but it's timeless, u gotta love it.
@trevorlipinski Those were the fucking days '97-'98, right when it was all going downhill and these dudes could have never saved it, no disrespect to them. I admire them for trying to hold on!! I had all three of those joints in constant rotation at that time!!
@MrTonyalvarez Hell yeah. I was deejaying at the college station at the time when this came out...oddly enough I was till in high school, but all my friends were in college and mostly Djs, rhymers, and graff heads...good times.
Can anybody make me sure, in this clip are streets of Harlem, NYC? I'm almost sure, because there is Apollo Theatre at 0:19. Otherwise this is real classic...
I came from this era of 80's an 90's hip hip an i got all respects for mc's such as him an underground kats of 2day like kev brown,14kt, jay dee, madlib are continuing the torch so people dont 4get that true underground hip hop cant die like the hippie 60's music era...we should all have respect 4 all these kats.......i dont compare..2 different eras...then an now...they both SHINE!!!!!!!!!!
yo mofuckas need to stop jerkin they dick over this beat, better than dilla??? no way, don't get me wrong this shit is fire, sample is good but that snare is mad weak, that beat in the beginning was sick though

I hated this album at the time--but in retrospect it's not too bad. A pretty standard mid '90s hardcore album attempting to hit mainstream with love songs and uncharacteristic (for Diamond) gambino-isms. I felt the same way man. I realized alot of rappers are actually hitting that higher level back in the 90's that's why we didnt like it back then but as we grew and more mature we appreciate this kind of album. Maybe that the reason he didnt blow up like he should. Diamond got that over the head shit.

I remember when I first heard Operation: Doomsday in 1999 I thought it was absolutely horrible. A year later I was rocking it every day in my system. :)
