HI, There are no death panels because Sarah Palin just made it up. That portion of the bill, if you read it, and do some research is an amendment to a definition of what type of consultation can be requested and paid. Rationed care? What do you think we have now? Insurance companies who are 100% profit driven are the current 'death panels' for many. A profit driven company decides your right to care. I'd love to hear you address the 4 facts posted above. Do you think any are wrong?
cowgirlinla22 - Since I'm the only non-teabagger posting here, I will assume that was directed at me. Who said he was elected? What facts do you think I don't have straight?
Fact: there are no death panels
Fact: the HC reform bill does not take away choice of docs.
Fact: Glenn Beck is joking about poisoning government officials, which lies somewhere between possibly illegal and just plain insane.
Fact: 90+ percent of Brits love their National HC plan
hb, what was directed at you? There is nothing in her comment that is directed at you, so please don't assume. We all know what assuming is.... No, there are no "death panels," simply because the wording in HR 3200 doesn't say death panels. But you SHOULD be concerned about a health care panel (these are appointees, not elected by you or me) that makes decisions on what care is to be administered BASED UPON COST! So, if you're grandmother needs a hip replaced, it might not be "approved"
b52bomberguy - um, you are very wrong, we were NOT on any list, not prescreened and we got it.
How does yelling "health care NO, health care NO" further any sort of debate or even show any rational thought?
I'm not 'quarterbacking' for anyone. I'm not following Obama, Bennet, Olberman or anyone else. I honestly had a low opinion of Bennet before walking in to the meet-n-greet with him. I was VERY impressed with him and with his taking a solid stance on the issues.
He wasn't elected you guys! Get your facts straight. He was appointed by Ritter after Ken Salazar left to join Obama's cabinet. I guarantee you that these politicians won't give you any credit if you don't have your facts straight. Do a little research!
nice creative editing. I was there, he tried to take some time to speak and all that people could do was shout at him.
Also, you are quite wrong, the guests were NOT pre-screened - the sign did say invited guests but no one who came in was turned away. But then again, facts are definitely not a right-winger's best strength.
I love your protest slogan you all were yelling "Health Care No, Health Care No" - very funny.
The guests WERE pre-screened bub... if your name was not on the Senator's list, looked over by his staffers, you were denied entry to dine with the Senator. And people WERE turned away... why do you think we were all outside? When you're ready to have an honest debate on health care, instead of "quarterbacking" for the President, you let me know
Yeah, we'll remember all these folks in 2010. Remember how they treated their constituents with disdain and ignored the millions of calls to refrain from driving our economy, freedoms, and health care into the ground. We don't have to wait long now before this crap is really going to make a difference in the voting booths of America!!

Wow. What arrogance to treat your constituents this way, and to think it's okay.
