Requiem was made by Snot with Corey as vocals.That song was on Snots Strait Up album which was dedicated to Lynn. It had a lot of other singers from other bands too and one of the two last songs recorded by Snot. .And Slipknot probably were fans of Snot being that Snot disbanded after Lynn's death in 98 and Slipknot gained major success on went on their first Ozzfest in 99 so I would say no Slipknot member got to meet Lynn.

Got a recorded tape as well, from my SB ('94-'95) days. A friend acquired the tape from Lynn as they became friends over a period of time. Great band cut short by such a tragedy, RIP Lynn, thanks for sharing your talents with the world.

Snot without Lynn is a travesty. Plain and simple. It may be the same songs and lyrics, but Lynn brought something special to the music that no one can ever recreate. I don't ever get why bands reform after a pivotal member dies or leaves the band. If anything, they should form a new band and let the spirit of Snot R.I.P.

Even with Alice in Chains, it's the same thing. I have audio from the Layne Staley tribute concert they did a few years ago where various singers came and did songs, such as Maynard, and even though Maynard sounds phenomenal, it isn't Layne Staley, and a band that has such a following and such a repertoire of music, it's hard for me to say that they should continue without their original frontman. In the end money drives everything so bands will continue to be even if we don't agree.
