I have just recently upgraded from sonar8 to 8.5. Ive been trying to get the matrix view to work, but when i play a midi sound, say a synth and bounce it to track then drag and drop it to a cell in matrix view it doesnt play. I have chopped some samples and when I drag and drop those into the matrix view it plays just fine, can anyone help?? Thanx

@homicidalpoet When you bounce your track are you using an audio track? Track 1 on the Matrix is connected to track one in sonar.. so if its an audio track and you dragged a midi track it wont work.. line them up Midi track 9 should also be on Matrix track 9..

Yea! But that would actually defeat the purpose of the actually daw (Sonar) in my opinion.. However that would be a great feature.. Maybe in the next update bro!
I hear ya lol, it feels all messy and all over the place to me, the daw in general. Windows all over the place and junk lol. I bet it would gain even more users if they let you record directly into that matrix.
They are leaders when it comes to 64 bit efficiency on windows man....but I just can't even consider using it because I can't get with the workflow in there. To me there is too much going on.
Ya know I thought the same way too at first.. But you can customize the entire layout to your liking..peeps got some made layouts to resemble other daws and what not
yeah I'm sure you can...it's all good man, I know it's a good program, I just can't get wit it lol. Just like reason, I know it's nice, but it's not for me. Being able to record into matrix view would change a lot, because there are some sick features in there and the way it handles 64 bit OS is nice.
Just THX :)
