it really depends on what one suits u best

try them both out, then decide

if u r looking for more advanced video editing, i suggest u go for adobe after effects for intros AND premiere pro (for more info look it up on google)

however, if u r looking for a more simple and yet still very effective program, i think u should go for sony vegas

@WestonL123124 loool you can't compare sony vegas with adobe after effects... it's like comparing a ferrari to a gocart. sony vegas is for basic videoediting/cutting and after effects is for motion graphics in 3d... vegas can't do any great cameramovement, vegas is just for home-vacancies-videos

@HenTodolo Andrew Kramer (Video Copilot) does tutorials that even an 8 year old could follow while cooking pancakes at the same time. He makes them so simple and easy but also so effective so that anybody can be awesome :D

I did use a few textures from the Video Copilot RIOT GEAR collection but not necessary to complete these simple examples. The great thing about their software is that is saves you a lot of prep time by providing some of these tools for you. Otherwise you can collect photos of different textures and still apply them the same way in these examples. IMO, although their software is not required, it is still an excellent value to any VFX artist's tool box. Thanks and good luck!

Try make something new out of what you learned. Just using the exactly same settings as in the tutorial is boring. Try other textures, other fonts.

Check out their website under products and you will find it there. Another resource for sounds that are FREE is a website called "The Free Sound Project". Their website is freesound (dot) org

I personally have all videos and films converted to .avi format. I takes up a little more space than mpeg or wmv but to me the sound and picture are alot better. I have told by others that .avi is the best format, for now anyways.

I go with .wmv

their smaller...& work in video converters if needed...don't notice any difference in quality when rendering to .avi or .wmv

& windows media player has a problem playing after effects .avi files
