Fame and Glory looked very impressive winning this. Thought he had the class to win the arc to be honest didnt quite get make it. Interesting both him and so you think won the same two races at the start of their preps in the 2010 and 2011 seasons respectiviey. So you thinks got alot more class about him. Bring on the 2011 arc!
I remember going into the 2010 Tattersalls Gold Cup expectations being very high from Godolphin about Cutlass Bay in this race. He was still unbeaten to this point in his career, and came to the Curragh having won the Prix d' Harcourt and Prix Ganay in France. But Cutlass Bay bit off more than he could chew going at Fame and Glory at the Curragh. A very difficult horse to beat on that track. I don't think he liked ground though. Because he should've at least made the frame in this race, IMO.
The roan mare in this race, Chinese White, finished off a very good, very professional career on June 26th at the Curragh by winning the Group 1 Audi Pretty Polly Stakes. Her connections have stated that the Pretty Polly was most likely the mare's final race. Because Chinese White is in foal to Sea The Stars sire, Cape Cross, at this time. Chinese White ends a terrific career with a lifetime record of 14-7-1-2. Her career lifetime Stakes record is 13-6-1-2. A very respectable career. IMO.
