For everone who likes films like this!!! I am from Holland but lived in France for 6 years! All movies directed by Claude Lelouche are great. Les uns et les autres is fantastic but many more. You must find the English title yourself.

BUT FOR YOU HIGHLY DEVELOPED PEOPLE AN ABSOLUTE MUST IS....LA GLOIRE DE MON PERE DE MARCEL PAGNOL and the follow up Le chateau de ma mere. I congratulate all the people who have never seen these movies because you are in for a great evening, wish I wish you all!!!!

But I like the original song by Astrud Gilberto much better. I'm too young to learn about her just recently when I heard YAHOO music for the first time! (Yeah, I was too bored.) Then, when I heard Un Homme et Une Femme's OST for the first time yesterday, I knew it was Astrud Gilberto's voice in it.

If anybody knows similar movies to this (but good ones), please let me know. I'm really sick and tired of heartless / artless Hollywood films. I feel like good French films. It's been a while since I visited Paris, and it's going to be a while for me to visit there again. Until then, I'll settle with movies. Gee, I miss Arc de triomphe, la tour eiffel, hotel Ritz Paris, and lastly......Pigalle Place (JUST KIDDING!)

It's a highly artistic film! Not only every scene is beautiful and artistic but also I fell in love with all the main characters, their dialogues, their sadness, their loneliness, and finally their joy as well as their romance! And the music! Although I had a picture perfect memory of the theme and I could play it with any instrument blindfolded, it was unbelievably beautiful and exciting when I watched the actual scenes with the music at the same time! A beautiful beautiful film!

I was seventeen attending North Carolina School of Performing Arts when I saw this movie in a theater that only showed foreign films. My great-grandparents were french canadians (Bombadier) and I had studied french for three years. I loved watching films without translation. It tells the story without the barriors of language! If it is good you know it!

All genial is simple. Producers didn't beleive at such great success. They assured Lelouch that now all watch films about James Bond, detectives and gunmen, and a simple story about the relationship between men and women is absolutely no one interested.
