  • I just bought the Ruger P95 and overall this gun is the best for the price...

  • Why would you use that crap that eats your gun when a pistol cleaning kit costs like 6 bucks lol you are an idiot.

  • Sad to see. Has have a Bi Tone P95 and the frame did the exact same thing when something called like break free clp or some other blast away aerosol cleaner got on it.....I was sooo pissed. Now every time I clean the gun I either need to make sure not to clean the frame or if I do the white shades come back and I need to soak it in oil over night. Even oiled up you can tell the discoloration of the spots. I feel for ya, no other pistols did this to me.....we just need to the word out!!

  • Great vid..... i just bought a slightly used P95 and love it so far (only took to the range once) My question is, what do you recommend for cleaning the frame? I was just going to get a cheap kit at Walmart but after your vid i dont think thats the best idea.

  • use m pro 7 and use millitec 1 to lube it up..

  • It looks like its been in battle lol.

  • dude you made the gun look cooler

  • The frame is a glass filled polymer and is very strong.

  • I looked one of these over....it looked like the rails were plastic.....is it true?

  • @apocolypse1022 Yes the slide rides on the composite frame, but the torture tests have been done, and user testimonies have proved that it is extremely durable and isn't an issue. A huge plus that nobody talks about is the p95's ability to run on minimal lube, or even dry!

  • After shooting a friend's gun the other week, I fell in love with this gun. For me it just shoots awesome. I don't need another gun, but I just love how this gun shoots. Anyway its payday, I stopped by my local gunshop today and bought one for 295 bucks. I always get delayed so next Thursday I will have a big smile. It really doesn't matter what the cost of the gun is or what other guns are on the market. What does matter is how well you shoot your gun and if you dig it. I totally dig this gun!

  • Have you called Ruger about the discoloration? Curious to see how that turned out, if so...

  • @alajeff I never called them. I actually took a hair dryer to it for a minute applied some oil let it soak in heated it again and applied. let it cool then wipe it down...golden

  • @armory247 Ohh, ok . Gotcha. Glad it turned out ok. I have the same gun and love it to bits.

  • I love this gun no problems with it so far! Taeg push the latch out from the other side of the gun. There is also a little plastic switch down in the hand grip area when you pull the slide back. Push that down through the to of the gun first.

  • I just bought this gun it was on sale for 299- 320 wit tax , I'm trynaearn as much as I can about to be proficient wit it , I've looked at a couple video on how to dissemble it an reassemble it an I can't get the latch thing off

  • I've watched a lot of p95 reviews and your the 1st to tell me about the trigger pull. Good job!!!

  • im thinkin about gettin a p95 this weekend for my 18th birthday. i have a glock 22 and a springfield 1911, but i wanna add a 9mm to the collection. im not a big fan of em because all i really use my pistols for is hogs, and ive heard although the 9mm doesnt have as much stopping power as the 40 or 45, its penetration is un matched (depending on the ammo) but im trying to decide between the p95 and a glock 17, but i cant make up my mind. all the reviews ive read matches them up to about equal.

  • @texashogdog1 Well. the p95 is a great pistol. It has a few hang ups and little things that I don't like but the glock 17 is usually a sure thing for me. I would go to the range and try out both then you can make your decision.

  • @armory247

also if i get the glock its gonna be a used one and from all the reviews ive read they have said that the glock does not need to be broken in, it is ready to go out of the box but over time they get worse, as for the p95 theyve said it needs to be broken in and it stays true and reliable. now i havent really had any problems with my glock 22 except the slide has a tendency to not lock back when the last round is fired.

  • @texashogdog1 Try a new mag in your G22 thats usually a good reason its not locking. the other option is the slide release spring. both are a pretty cheap fix. if you get a used glock just look it over real well and check the barrel. also its best to try and shoot it first .

  • @armory247

    Lol...."This one's winning"

Why couldn't I help but think of Charlie Sheen smoking a cigarette, shooting this gun?!

  • @rasey077 hahaha

  • Good Video man. I love Rugers. I carry an SP101 and i had a P89 for a long time. It was such a great gun I hated to part with it. I had a gun dealer tell me once that an independent test took a Ruger P90 I think and shot 30,000 rounds through it and then broke it down to see the wear and tear. It had hardly any! 30,000 rounds! Thats a good gun. In my opinion, you cant beat Ruger for variety, dependability and quality. Thanks!

  • @enduro350 I heard the same....thank you for watching

  • same thing happened to my brother with his p95, you can fix it with some steel wool and some gun oil. just go over it with the steel wool and rub in some oil and it will come back to back. wish we would have seem this video before we tryed cleaning the frame with breakfree through....good vid buddy

  • @mattbombs083 i ended up hitting it with the wire brush and some rem oil. seemed to fix the problem

  • I put the Hogue Handall Rubber grip on mine. It cost $9 and will cover up some of the discoloration. Not to mention it feels much better in your hand than without.

  • Wipe it down with an oil or silicone cloth and then dry with a paper towel.

  • I am happy with my P95... not my favorite, but a good budget gun. Cheaper ammo and I don't have to worry about it. I like the finish on yours more, I have the stainless slide... not as flattering

  • Greaat review straight to the point. I own a P95 great job again dude.

  • good vid

  • I put a 19 lb hammer spring on mine and the trigger pull is so much better

  • I have it in stainless so dont use Gun Scrubber on it at all?

  • @kflo01 you can use whatever on the slide. however the plastic frame will discolor if shot with the spray cans

  • @armory247 ack im a wd40 guy anyway lol

  • @crashdummy40 I have heard that you should never oil a gun with WD40. I hear it does not actually have any oils in it, that it is a water displacement liquid and not a lubricant. Yes its slick, but it dries and leaves no actual lubricant. I like it to clean the gun since I hate the smell of Hoppes #9. But I hit the gun after with some good oil. Anyone else hear of this?

  • @enduro350 well its not gunna hurt anything imo however yes its not much of an oil lol but it does help to eat away sum grime and sludge you could prolly drop your gun in a bucket of wd40 and let it eat all the bad stuff away and it shouldnt hurt your gun you will have to clean more often and lube with a light coat because residue tends to stick more with wd40 unless your gun has sum wierd polymer that is allergic to it its not gunna hurt it

  • thanks for the warning

  • just bought this gun new for 299 lat night and im going out to shoot it today. cant wait it is my first handgun larger than a 22

  • @starkiller18 i think you will enjoy it. just dont use spray cleaners. lol it discolors the frame
