no not really.

u can feel a teeny weeny prick on top for a second and then when it actaully slides through u cant feel it at all. Once the needle is in you virtual can't feel a thing. And the exchange of needle to jewelry you can't feel either. THe only part that might hurt is if they tug on it slightly when putting the ball on. Just squeeze ur eyes shut and u won't notice it

The cameraman wasn't very good and the piercer should have used a clamp (she had one on the bench so why didn't she use it). Also the needle went in very slowly.....should have been nice & quick!
