Everybody keeps bashing beats. I have many sets of skullcandys, and beats are REALLY a HUGE let down for the price you pay. The build quality isn't very good but the sound quality is amazing. If you compare these side by side, skullcandys are better in build quality, but beats are better in sound quality. Overall, if you have $300 then DEFINATLEY by the skullcandys.

I saved up for a decent pair of headphones and eventhough having tried out the aviators before i grabbed the Soul by Ludacris SL100 on a whim cause they looked nicer without actually trying them out. Went home, listened to thrm and got so pissed cause they paled so much in comparison to the aviators despite being the same price, I marched to the store the next day to get the Aviators instead. Never once regretted my purchase. Best headphone of its price range.

These are baddd headphones, just like all of there crap. Im an audiophile, and figured these would be good. NOT! They are very distorted and crackle alot, and there is vitrualy NO BASS AT ALL! Also, with that stupid control plug, they wont work on most things! My sony vaio laptop, doesnt work with these crappers! I work at radioshack, and our 29.99 over ear ones offer much cleaner sound and more bass for less than 1/3 the price! There are wayy better choices out there, dont buy these!

If someone complains about a "whine" or "Screech" when they first put them in it's because they didn't burn them. Not literally, you keep them playing white noise (static) or even regular music for 12-30 hours. This allows everything to settle.

Specifications are an okay way to tell if it's good, but listening is ultimately the best way to tell. Look for comfort and sound. If you're not good at telling if it's good sound, close your eyes and see if you like the sound. Sorry for the spam.....

Does Not have the heavy Bass Booster for a balanced sound the hit all around well. Not saying they don't have bass; They're not bad, but not great. Best for listening to a variety of music. Overall, sound is great & clear, but doesn't go that extra mile. Cost is great, I may even pay more. But please don't jack up the price. Also for hipsters, but it's not as overrated as the Beats. If it's what you can afford, they're the best. If you have money to burn you could do better.

Bass Booster, Great for House and trending music of today (Dubstep). High qual sound (Monster knows what it's doing). Medium quality build (Prone to snapping). Overall good, but you're really paying for the B. If you're looking for bass they're just about the best. Mostly for hipsters or people blindly buying in the mindset they're the best ever. Case would be at my school where someone sold fake ones and everyone thought they were the shit until someone found out.

@Mrrastachantman These headphones absolutely look and sound better than Beats by Dr. Dre. Granted, both options are most likely not the best that you can buy for that price in terms of sound quality. Depending on how picky you are, I'm not sure how willing you would be to sacrifice a bit of sound quality that a product such as Bose would offer in exchange for some of the coolest looking headphones on the market. These Aviators look and sound amazing, but Bose has them beat in sound any day.

@CaptainWubbles Wrong. It depends what sound signature you like. If you like a LOT of bass go beats. But if you listen to stuff with little emphasis on bass you may as well chuck away the beats. The Aviators are the same. Awesome mids, but the bass is lacking. People say it's SMOOTH but it actually IS lacking unless you use an amp. So it all depends on personal preference. Oh, and the beats break easily.

I mean hesh was not that comfortable especially for me since I wear glasses but the rocnation was so comfortable that I barely know its around my head. They don't leave imprints.
