  • Wow! I was at this concert when it played at Chicago Stadium on 4/1/1975. Fantastic performance! The opening act was Suzi Quatro (best known as Leather Tuscadaro on Happy Days). She was also excellent.☺☺☺☺☺

  • @WytZox1 AWESOME!!! I always loved Suzi Quatro, she freakin' rocks!

  • @koaguilds -- Oh wait! Now I remember! MEGADEATH was the opening act at UIC!

  • @WytZox1 -- I also saw Alice's comeback tour in the 1980s @ the UIC Pavilion. The opening act for that 1 was a metal band whose name escapes me @ this time.

  • Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner are true professionals. They never drank much and only dabbled with a little pot so they could keep their playing to a sharp edge. This is why they were called in when the junkie-rockers like Joe Perry were too wasted to record!!!Perry rocks but he was the walking dead in the 70's!!!

  • I love Alice but you can tell he was drunk here.

Still awesome beyond perfection his band.

  • There's Clapton, Page and the rest but these two are in a class by themselves. They play everything to ultimate perfection. The best ever.

  • ahhhh, from when guitarists were GUITARISTS!!! Both Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter make Slash sound like the drugged up zombie he really is! Glenn Tipton and KK Downing are in the same class as these two. They just don't grow em like they used to!

  • Wish Keith Moon followed Alice Cooper`s foot steps before it was too late.

    Thank God alice sobered up.

His new album is great also.

  • What the hell happened to Alice Cooper? He should have never gotten off the booze, lulz.

  • @sinbysin666 So you would rather have him misrable so he could make you happy? If he was still a drunk he would had probably been dead by now if he didnt kill his wife and end up in prison. He's happy and healthy and still makes great music Maybe you should follow in his footsteps you may find bein sober is a great thing. Your selfish, go away!

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE I'm just stating a sad, and ironic truth. When people are fucked up, they generally make better music. He still makes okay music (though the new album sucks), though they all fall flat in comparison to Killer, Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome to my Nightmare, or even DaDa.

  • @sinbysin666 I dunno,

Nikki Sixx's music has gotten 1000000x better now that he's sobered up.

  • @sinbysin666 What the hell? What make you say some sort of fucked up shit like that?

  • @iluvchubbles because people who are f'ked up people make good music. Just look at the stuff that came out after he got sober. Trash = Gothic Bon Jovi.

  • @sinbysin666 Hey, Trash was my first Alice album. Alice spent a lot of time working on Trash. When Alice was checked into rehab he couldn't sign his name his nerve endings were shot. Thank God Alice got sober he would have drank himsalf to death.

  • @kasinalpha I was dressed as The Master for Halloween Some kid about 15 years old asked me Who was I supposed to be I said Alice Cooper. He looked at me with a strange look and said "WHO?" His father was some preppy who probably got into the Madonna/Boy George scene & I said to him You need to let your boy get out more.

  • Are you kidding me??? 5 people like Matchbox 20 while watching gay midget porn. Jesus!

  • I saw him yesterday and he opened up with this and he had spider arms and it blew off into like fireworks I was so happy to see him his stage acts are amazing it said that people my age would rather see Wiz Khalifa have booty girls than cool stuff like this I relized after a while that music like this is amazing Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Aerosmith people who grew up with this had it amazing

  • This said it was released in 2010, and it's upload date says 2009. Fail on YouTube's part, there.

  • Are those Les Paul studio guitars they are playing?

  • Thank you for honoring us

    Dick Wagner

  • @fungoo989 The amazing guitarist/star of this video is commenting on this video...speechless.

  • I would love to take lessons from either or Daymed these boys ROCK!

  • Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner, greatest band Alice ever had.

  • ive just been to a awesome concert! alice cooper was the opening for iron maiden... jizzed all over the place

  • @PortmanPro u wuz not the only one who jizzed all over the place ;P

  • OZZY IS NOT THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS !!! ALICE IS ...!!!

  • @metalsoldier71 LOL Naaaaa ALICE COOPER IS THE MASTER Ozzy can be the Prince

  • I got this on VHS tape back in May of 1990. It really opened my perspective on how rock guitar can shred really hard but still be beautiful. I mean i'd heard other greats before on the guitar.. But this band as a whole really can't be topped.... Dick Wagner, Steve Hunter, Whitey Glan, Prakash John and alice himself ruled the rock world around this time along with KISS, Sabbath and a whole bunch of others.... But this kind of talent was really special...

  • @neilwiger I agree with you 100% could you imagine what they would sound like if they had todays equipment. Digital delays didnt exist then.

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE ... You are so right.... This kind of playing is never heard on the radio anymore... I really love this.... I MEAN a lot... analog delay, the sound of the white batter heads... Dick is playing a first run BC Rich "Seagull" on this... A very early electric made by Bernie Rico... This music has a kinda passion to it... that well makes me... HARD!!!! --};-)>...\m/

  • @neilwiger Too bad they dont make music like this anymore. really sad I am so happy I got to see this concert 2 times when I was a kid though.

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE I was agreeing with you.

  • @asnaes Please accept my apologies I misread that .

  • year?

  • @nothanx 75 or 76

Cant remember everything LOL I was a kid then

  • alice is old school like david bowie they will live forevere but kids today don't know them like use who grew up with them

  • Awesome! I've it on VHS tape!

  • alice cooper is old metal

just rated as rock over the new metal

    which is shit

i grew up listening to the old stuff

some new metal is ok but not perfect

  • I was a teen when Alice hit the scene, owned every one of his records (yes, I said records, lol) The narration is about the spider, but the song is about Satan. Look up the lyrics, Alice always uses the term "HE" not she. And as we all know, it's the female spider that is the deadly. Just listen to the lyrics, or look them up and read them. That is why they lead into the song with "Devil's food"

  • TITIA ALICE!!!!!!!!

  • Kiss never put on a show this good.

    And Alice was drunk here.

  • Kiss never put on a show this good.

  • Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner practically invented Rock and Roll Guitar! There are great interviews you can find here. Look into the old Lou Reed stuff. Guitar would not be the same without these two ‘gods’. 37 years ago this very song from this very movie made me learn guitar, and I've learned most of both parts...required learning on the guitar. Simply the best duo EVER! Just go listen to Aerosmith's Train Kept 'a Rollin' if you need more convincing, as it is them doing all the leads!! Sweet!

  • LOVE THIS AND ALWAYS DID WHO IS THE OLD GUITARIST -- OMG SOSSO GOOD

  • Just checked back to see...YEP still the most insane display of guitar playing I've ever seen or heard.

  • Would have been fun to get dosed at an Alice Cooper show

  • is this the 1975 dvd?

  • @Riocoolnes o yeap!

  • i heard welcome to my nightmare 2 is coming out this year

  • Wagner and Hunter absolutely shred on stage here! This entire album is my favorite by Alice partly because of this duo and partly because i have a penchant for concept albums. I bought Lou Reeds rock and roll animal solely because he recruited these guys. Its about time Alice transcended above the critics atrocious taste to admit the generic most accepted (and a ton of undeserving) artists.

  • @notoriodtc mine too,

i still listen to welcome to my nightmare!! just love it, thybloodredrose@msn.com

  • Absolutely one of the best performances I've ever seen. The theatre of this show, it's genius! The spiders, the stage, and Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner as the grave diggers are amazing. What talent this band had. I believe they were in Elton John's band at one point as well.

  • This is his best album and at the time he had the most talented band in the world, to this day I don't know why they split up, unless it had something to do with mental problems

  • He was drunk here. lol

  • @brazilnews The album "Welcome to My Nightmare" Is an expression of Alice's triumph over alcoholism - so no he was not drunk ; )

  • @BobbyB430 Well he was prob still feeling it. he only was reborn when he stoped being all hunched over.

  • @BobbyB430

Wrong. Alice Cooper was dying from alcoholism until he voluntarily admitted himself to a mental institution for rehab in 82. His wife threatened to leave him if he didn't stop drinking. He was drunk throughout the 70s... stopped for a while in 77ish and then started drinking again.

  • saw him live last year! Great!! Love the guy...!!

Fuck! the guitars ... damn good!

  • saw him live last year! Great!! Love the guy...!!

  • Great footage. Saw him at Reading Rock in '88. One of the best gigs I ever went to. Alice blew everyone else offstage that weekend.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • This is easily the greatest guitar performance ever. These two are head and shoulders above all the rest. The solos they added to Aerosmith's "Train Kept a-rollin'" are right up there with this one.

  • The fact this crank has people worshipping him shows how sick our world has become. But JEWS (Bob Ezrin) will sell anything for money.

  • @reziztanze what's wrong with loving art?

  • @reziztanze Go fuck yourself. GTFO

  • @reziztanze I agree completely. The world was far less sick when we had the Holocaust. When slavary was rampant. When the crusades destroyed most of Europe. When gladiators for centuries performed to their death. Yeah.....Alice Cooper on stage is far, far sicker. Up until this point in time no one tried to make money out of the performing arts.

  • never saw the connection before but the Randy feel is there

  • esto musica de verdad y no mamadas

  • Wagner & Hunter really wail. Can't wait for Nightmare 2.

  • The Edit is at the 6:38 mark seeing them live there was much more jamming & dual solo's edited out...... shame really... the jamming here doesn't get any better then this.... Wagner & Hunter are tight as hell & just rip this song to shreds...

  • Excellent version of the Black Widow the dual solo's are amazing unfortunately because this was on film it was edited down with much more of the jamming & dual solo's edited out which is really sad considering this was Alice Cooper at his finest with his excellent band... the edit is so obvious too.. but still in all this is some great shit!

  • Near the 3:15 mark you see Wagner using the string pulling trick that Randy used in Over The Mountain. True Geniuses at work here! Nuff said.

  • Fuck everybody- Alice Cooper kicks hole!

    this is epic

  • sounds so much better fast

  • my oldman went to see this concert in london said it was amazin

  • This goes for of you kids wishing/planning on playing guitar in the near future!Study this clip and you will learn that it is OK.!for you to move around while playing your guitar and making faces while kicking musical ass!!

  • This is why a kid should pick up a guitar! hearing a rock tune that has meaning! that rocks!! they should ban kids from picking up guitars who think the Jonas Brothers are rock legends?? I never understand that!! strange era we live in now

  • A tight ass solo huh??

  • I got bite by a black widow and yes it was worst pain ever.

  • @datsunmadman i was bit by a brown reclouse it hurt like a bitch and i got a huge fever and the bites started to decay but i went to the doctor and git a shot and took pills

  • im going to see him 2morrow :)

  • Alice Cooper is THE best ♥

  • Who's the dude with shades, he was killin it

  • Comment removed

  • @gl797 what the hell r u talkin about r u referring to some comment i made months ago, cause man i dont remember that shit lol

  • He is magic

  • Damn. I listened to the album "The Alice Cooper Show", and i heard dubble bass drums and awesome shredding solos. I clearly see Alice Cooper underestimated by alot of metal fans. I mean, metal wouldnt be the same without Alice Cooper.

  • Dick Wagner (lead guitar) so fucking great!

  • i took my wife to this concert when she was only 15..she hated and was terribly afraid of all spiders...when this song started she fainted..just went limp in my arms...

we were sorta high on something ...but she just went totally limp...

  • @lc77k I guess drugs were a bad idea, the show was enough. Oh well, it's happens.hope you still make contact with each other.

  • In The early 70's,He was the "Master" of all the shows and the only band to do it every concert. This one and Nightmare were way beyond the time.

  • well looks like im gonna be getting this DVD. i need a new concert to watch and this was just plain EPIC. of course, there aint much he has done that ISNT!!! LONG LIVE ALICE!!!

  • Fantastic show - on DVD at stores now. Saw this on shelf last month.

  • I love the Vincent Price speech!

  • dick wagner

  • on se made ses cauchemars soi meme lorsqu'on a pas bonne conscience!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's black widow or windows your name or sorry!!

  • La performance de Alice Cooper en los 70s siempre fue sorpréndete, impactante y a veces hasta grosteca. Horror Show al máximo nivel. En este clip observamos unas guitarras devorando el tiempo sin son ni ton mientras arañas negras se mueven eróticamente sacando chispas al cuerno del diabloAlice Cooper sorprende y engatusa sin chistar.

  • I've seen Alice Cooper twice now since July of 2006. The most recent concert is during the summer of 2008 when Alice Cooper opened for the Scorpions (what a show!!) at Ft. McCoy, WI. The Alice Cooper stage show lacks absolutely nothing. Totally awesome shows. I did notice that he changes his musicians though.

  • @coinjester, it sounds like a cool concert. Just one question: why the hell was Alice Cooper opening for the Scorpions?! Alice has been around much longer and has made a bigger impact in the rock business. The Scorpions are good, but they're not cultural icons like Alice. Sorry, I just found that weird.

  • @rch9000 I saw the Alice/Scorpions show a few years ago (whenever that was) and although the Scorps did play last, I wouldn't say that Alice opened. There was an opening act (HipKitty or something) and Alice and the Scorpions both played full sets. Great show for sure

  • @rch9000 the scorpions were formed in 1965. Their 1969 album "Lonesome Crow" is not at all like the Scorpions most people think of. search that album on here it's great but still nowhere near this era of Alice Cooper.

  • @rch9000 Scorpions sold more tickets as a heavy metal band than Alice Cooper ever did. You play for whomever has enough money to buy you, business is sometimes cruel but its laws are carven in stone.

  • @rch9000 scorpions is mainstream music, people doesn't understand genius music that alice do!

  • @rch9000 They've actually been around about an equal amount of time. Scorpions have been around since the sixties, but didn't really make it big until the eighties. Alice is still a major icon in metal though and it is strange that Alice is opening for them.

  • @rch9000 Not too many people know who Alice Cooper is anymore. You got too many flash in the pans people like Rob Zombie Marylin Manson crawling out of the woodwork. Ive followed Alice since early 70's & he is a true performer. I will always follow the Master of Rock and Roll.

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie ain't shit compared to Alice!

  • @asnaes Gee I thought That was what I said in a nutshell. Re read my post. I said I had been following the Master since 1970 probably before you were sperm in your daddys dick. Alice is the MASTER of Rock and Roll!

Just goes to show you what one person writes is not how another dumbass will inturpet it instead they wanna fight.

  • @asnaes BTW I Seen this concert in 1976 2 x's

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE

And whats funny is Cooper introduced Korn, System of a down and many others that are rocking now, many took his songs to heart. I was lucky at 10 his movie Strangeville came out and I found out the high energy that is cooper rock and I thank that movie for that, the vhs had a special he did with his and others songs mixed in. Cooper is not lost, don't think that at all

  • @kasinalpha But I have been following the master since I was a kid for 40 years now It break my heart to see these kids dont know who the Master of Rock and Roll is. But all these kids know is what they hear on the radio. Which is Bands of what you mentioned I hadnt heard anyone play Alice in a Long Time I even call and request him Sorry we dont have any Alice Cooper.

  • @BOBCATBIKERBABE I heard Alice on my radio station triple MMM in brisbane today and it rocked, now listening again, and so do my sons (10, 8), so happy thoughts

  • @coinjester t'aurais pas du les voir car ils t'ont donnés des idéees pas mal tordues, t'aurais mieux fait d'aller à l'église!!!!!

  • Who are those guitarist. That is not Glen Buxton or Michael Bruce. Neither of them were part of the Welcome to my Nightmare tours. At least not to my knowledge. Not to say that Michael and Glen are not amazing. These 2 guys are simply phenomenal.

  • @musicsnob01 Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter

  • Thanks, You rarely have the opportunity to see dueling guitarist. This is truly amazing.I wish todays rock bands would do more in instrumentals. Long live what we consider Classic rock. I just call pure greatness.

  • @musicsnob01 Yeah Alice Cooper is most probably the artist that i like the best.. togheter with Ozzy Osbourne, although lately he is very stoned

  • THE best concert I've ever seen, by far!!

  • fantastic dueling leads!

  • his voice

  • goin to see alice with rob zombie, but i dont give a shit about him. FUCK YEAH ALICE COOPER!

  • awsome!!!

  • Fantastic! \m/

  • Great stage show . I saw alice around 1990- at the Birmingham NEC arena. He was fantastic.

  • Alice was one of those bands that was even better live than he was on an album

  • the best stage show of all time nobody even compares to alice cooper old school rock rules

  • Happy Birthday Alice!

  • searching you tube for more from the '75 Nightmare movie but having no luck--I'd love to see the band intros--I think Dick Wagner had it turned up to eleven on his solo!
